blu on the Avenue Ratings and Reviews
I brought my mom and wife here for Mother's Day and we had a great time. It wasn't super crowded and our waiter Michael was very good. The food was excellent and even a picky eater like my dad was satisfied. I look forward to coming back for my second visit!
First time to have dinner but will return. Attentive server, Jose, provided gracious , unobtrusive service. Interesting cocktails on the menu but had favorite Campari and soda. Norwegian Salmon was artfully presented and tasted delicious with accompaniments of mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts. Finished off with a Grand Marnier and coffee for a perfect dinner before a concert. Interesting waterfall at the bar area. Highly recommended.
Very nice experience on a very quiet Easter Monday when many competitors were closed. But service was top notch and the food, especially the lobster salad, drew a rave. Our Blu burgers were excellent as was the salmon. Must say our experience was the same even on a Parents Weekend when the place was packed.
We had a 1:30pm reservation for an outdoor table, but waited at least 10 minutes to get the hostess's attention. Once she obtained our reservation info we were seated immediately. The staff, although polite, friendly, & informative, seemed extremely rushed & stressed. Our assumption was there was a staffing issue. Fortunately for us, we were in no hurry & enjoyed a 2 1/2 hour lunch. We would definitely recommend this cafe & hope to return soon.
Our server was terrific and very knowledgeable. The kitchen made special concessions for one of us who has food allergies. The food was delicious. I recommend it highly. The music was too loud. It was hard to carry on a conversation. One of the staff did turn the music down a bit when I asked.
An older group was hoping for a quiet upscale dinner. This was not it. Service was extraordinary slow, they did not have an advertised liquor and the food was good but not fabulous. Probably just a mismatch for our needs as this looks to be a great bar hot spot with sushi. Portion sizes were generous, tuna cooked to order but dry. Next time will understand better fit for happy hour.
Out waitress was extremely patient, helpful and very nice to be around. The drinks were superb, the appetizer very well done but the steak tips only get a 6 out or 10 as they were not top grade beef but to be expected for the reasonable price. Desert was a 10!
Will definitely go back very satisfied customer.
Made a reservation for Valentine's day and arrived a few minutes early. Thought I'd have a long wait, however I was seated right away. We ordered our food, and were served promptly. The food was delicious and the service was great. A little noisier than what was portrayed, however it was extremely busy and the service didn't suffer because of this. 10/10, would recommend.
This place is more Bar scene type. I was looking for something a little more around an elegant sit-down type of scenery. Overall is was alright....food wasn't all that great (not worth the price paid). If I were looking for a place to just hang out with an open bar with casual friends, then this place would fit. But I was in search of a more sit-down formal date type of restaurant and as a result it was a disappointment, only because it wasn't was I was looking for tonight.
Have enjoyed going to this restaurant many times before but was very disappointed w/ our last dining experience there. The waiter took an extremely long time getting our drinks to us, never apologized and had a bad attitude. The scallop appetizer consisted of 2 SMALL scallops for $16! The raw oysters were small and disappointing and my usual favorite, Lobster Cobb Salad , tasted like the lobster was not fresh. May not be back ...
