The food was very good and our waitress very attentive. I had the grouper which was done just right and my husband had the lobster carbonara also very good. The drinks were good and not skimpy. Would definitely return and recommend.
This was brunch for 14 with out of town family the day after a big event. Table was in the perfect location within the restaurant- we almost felt like we had a private room. Our server was fantastic & the drink and food pacing was perfect. Best Bloody Marys, too. My only negative was that the Monte Cristo was very dry and a little bland. Everyone else seemed to very much enjoy their food, though, and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Thank you.
My husband and I chose this restaurant for Sunday brunch based on the menu and location. We were not disappointed. We sat facing the avenue for great people watching. Nico, our server, was amazing and attentive. And the food... yum! The salmon chip appetizer was absolutely delicious. We followed that with entrees (my hubby the lobster Cobb, me lobster grilled cheese) that did not skimp on the good stuff! We liked it so much we are making the long drive this weekend to have dinner!
The food was overall great. I was not impressed with our waitress hence the 4 stars instead of 5. The food was a 5
Nice evening and good service! Mains were good as well! Casual environment, good drinks and decent wine list!
I could not get a reservation for Garp and Fuss (sic), so I opted for Blu based on the 4.5 rating on Open Table. Sorry, but I was a little disappointed. Maybe my expectations were too high. Walking into Blu, it has the WP Park Ave. vibe, casual but smart. The bar looked like it was doing a decent Friday night business. I think Blu might be a great place for cocktails. I started with a Napa Red blend which was not the best, but that also may be my personal taste.
The wine list is pretty good. My wife enjoyed one of her 'go-to' Pinot Grigios. We started with edamame. It was ok but average, prepared with salt. There is so much more that can be dome with edamame. I had one of the specials Tilefish with a shrimp risotto accompanied with a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc (I love NZ Sauvignon Blanc). I was enjoying the dish until I had a piece with the skin still attached to the fish...ugh. The rest of the fish had a fishy taste. Not sure how fresh the fish was but the fish skin was a deal breaker for me. My wife had a steak filet which she enjoyed. Blu seems like a great place for cocktails/drinks and probably a good place for lunch when on Park Ave. For dinner, it appears ok but don't expect to be bowled over with a gastronomical delight.
Blu is always fun! Great Old Fashions, happy hour, fabulous burgers! Love the outdoor seating !
Great food and atmosphere!
Delicious food, friendly service, great customer service. We thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday brunch experience.
Friday evening we had a lovely time sitting outside of Blu, our food was excellent but the service was superb!
Our entrees were perfect! I had the Shrimp and Grits and my husband had the Norwegian Salmon. Both were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The atmosphere outside on Park Ave. was great for a date night! Would definitely recommend and plan on returning again soon.
I took my girlfriend out for dinner and we chose Blu. We made reservations, arrived early and were immediately seated and taken care of. Great food, great service and a great atmosphere. I recommend it to anyone who wants a nice date night out.
Blue never disappoints! We love dining at the restaurant and even have friends from out of town request to go back once we've taken them there once! PS- They have the best Old Fashioned!
This was our first time at BLU. We had the most spectacular service by our waiter Joe.
Great drinks, modern atmosphere, outdoor dining, great looking bar. Food was great, She-Crab mac and cheese was incredible. No one was disappointed in there meal...salmon, shrimp noodles, filet.
Good desserts too!
1st visit. Pleasantly surprised with food and service. Will return soon.
Great dining experience at Soco. Loved the menu for magical dining month! Cocktails were great as well.
Service was very good considering we had a group of 18. The server was attentive and efficient with the exception that bread was not given until
We requested for it. The menu has a big selection of imaginative creations but the actual food served came short
of gourmet quality for the price. The lobster rolls are tiny, the lobster carbonara is very salty and the pancetta are hard and chewy. Only the Norwegian salmon hit the perfect note. The restaurant has good ambiance . All in all a good place to spend time with friends.
Birthday celebration! Everything was perfect, service and food were excellent.
Horrible service. Food wasn’t bad but the lack of attention ruins the experience. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.
Dinner was ok. The fries accompanying all meals were overly salted. Truth be told, informed server too late into meal fir her to repair.
Not Good, the food was not prepared right, I ordered my steak med, it was raw (almost) waited to tell my server, but after about 10 minutes, I gave up, and try to eat it ..( ugh ) the place was VERY loud , I could not hear the person across from me ... Not Fine Dining .... it was table to table, no room between tables ..... not what I expected ...... Will not be back ....
Fantastic! Great atmosphere and delicious food! Kale salad is wonderful.
Food was just okay. I had high expectations but was disappointed. The shrimp in the shrimp o and grits were burned, dried out and over seasoned. Barely edible.
Our food and service was wonderful. We enjoyed the special menu.
We have been to Blu several times and it never disappoints. We love the variety of the food, the service was excellent, Sammy the bartender was extremely helpful and his mixed drinks were amazing! *You have to have the fish tacos and oysters!!
The food was just ok but the service was poor. We had to have the hostess find our waiter on multiple occasions.
Unfortunately our waiter was not very friendly at all.
Food and service outstanding. Normally my wife and I stay with the seafood, but she had the steak special which was a center cut medallion with melted blue cheese and a scallop on top and I had the skirt steak. Both exceptional.
I have visited Blu three times now. It is good enough to keep coming back, but it seems that every time something goes wrong. Service is competent but often slow, it took almost an hour for our three entrees and the restaurant had only four tables. The food is creative and mostly well done. Most of the time. Cocktails are delicious. I will keep trying for that perfect experience.
Seating was immediate but it took over 30 minutes to get water, 45 minutes to get menus, and an hour and a half to get our order. We won’t be going back.
Lobster Cobb is amazing. Service on Sunday (Fathers Day) was great.
We were definitely there on a slower night (it was the Saturday before Father's Day), but the food was fantastic, as were the drinks. Our waiter was friendly and warm, and he kept it real with us (like making jokes with my boyfriend about me ordering fries with my sushi, which is definitely weird. But the fries looked so good and they were!). Definitely seems like it would be a young, hip spot most of the time, with a lot of people, and that night was just a slow night. The drinks the bartenders made (specialty cocktails) were fantastic, and they had a large list of other liquors, wines, beers, and cocktails. Great place for a date.
We were well attended by our server, Bella, and liked our entrees: the Sunset Roll, Tareshi and Lobster Cobb - all attractive, fresh and very good tasting.
Went for Sushi and was impressed with their selection. Taste was very good and service was top notch. Great place to have a nice dinner! Highly recommended.
Had the $35 three course meal, which was really worth it.
Wonderful restaurant! Everything was perfect!
My wife and I treated our niece who was visiting for the weekend. She had the swordfish, my wife the grouper and I had the mix salad with grilled grouper on top. All were excellent. Rare where everyone felt theirs was the best dish. Highly recommend it.
The daily salad specials here and the lobster cobb salad area always so great! Robin is the best server and always treats us so nicely.
I wish the Grouper Schnitzel would come back though - it was awesome!
So much fun! Ran into 2 more friends. 6 of us had an amazing time
