Busy for an August evening in Florida. Our only complaint was that the crab cakes had too much breading and that was all you could taste and thus wasn't really edible to our palate. Despite telling the waiter, it was not taken off the bill. A little disappointing. The lobster special was delicious but the spinach did not have a bacon and garlic flavor as described. Service was good.

Sloooooooooow service, waters were served in plastic cups, grouper specialty smelt like ammonia. Been here several times and each time it gets worse, shame on me, will not be returning even for the ambiance.

The food was good. The service was terrible. We had four couples. One person got their meal 7 minutes after everyone else. The sauce for the fish was brought several minutes after the meals were served. Our water glasses were not refilled and we had to wait about 15 minutes to get the check after we were finished. The room was extremely hot and we asked if they could adjust the temp, but they did not. For over $100 for two, we expect better service.

I was at a conference across street. I went in to check out ur restaurant. I had escargot, dirty martini, an margarita pizza. It was all so delicious. My server was sweet an awesome. I love this restaurant an will b bak when im n town

This is our favorite go to restaurant and had we not had such a nice server, tonight it would have been a disaster of a meal. What annoyed me to start was walking into reception with blaring loud music inappropriate for nice dining. It hit hard considering we were out to catch up and have dinner with a friend. Then we waited at a table as they cleared it when they could have asked us to sit at the bar and wait. I did not appreciate watching crumbs fly off the table as they cleaned it. Fortunately the server saved the meal. I made it clear that I was angry and she stepped up to the plate. We ordered three glasses of red wine but the bar was out of one brand. The second time in three weeks this has happened. I asked for lightly dressed Ceasar salad and it was dripping in dressing. My foolish mistake as the server suggested having it on the side. Two diners had cowboy rib eye steaks. Both diners complained of the steak being chewy. Veggies were perfectly cooked for both diners but one diner had to send the backed potato back twice as both times it came out cold. The third try worked and the potato was perfect, piping hot. This was a bit of a rough meal which we are used to at Blu Mangrove and one dinner said the meal had the feel of being under new management. ?????

I have been enjoying this restaurant for years. The setting at Riviera Dunes marina makes one think of boating and fun times. Our meal began with Manhattans served in the rocks, rather than up, as requested. We began the meal with nice Caesar salads. When about halfway through, the main courses arrived and were simply plopped on the table while we held the salad plates in our hands. My ribeye steak was ordered medium rare, but arrived very rare. A dining partner had ordered hers medium and it was very rare. My steak was so tough that I literally could not chew and swallow it. The waiter was apologetic and in a highlight of the evening, neither of us was charged for the steak. It appears that something is amiss at this nice venue - management and chef-wise. Hopefully, it can be turned around and return to former excellence.

My family love to sit outside wishing they could have a boat that’s in front of them also the food and service are also excellent never had a bad meal yet nearest fish and chips to England’s so my grandchildren say

What a difference a week makes. Last week we joined a couple of friends for a great dining experience at Blue Mangrove only to find the complete opposite tonight. Our reservation for six people was for 6:15 and in a little over 2.5 hours we had had enough. We were seated promptly by the waterway but there were no place settings and little service for the first 10 minutes. Our order for drinks was followed by another long delay and a longer wait for appetizers. We noticed that each time we asked for anything, or promted the server, a new attendant attempted to meet our request...in total no less than eight people delivered napkins, water, rolls, food items (which arrived seperately), nor cleared appetizer plates that sat on the table for two hours... in essence we experienced a slow relay in which no one was in a hurry or effectively passing a batton. We asked to speak to a manager at the end only to hear how she was busy bartending and, her wishes that we had mentioned something sooner. In essence, not my fault. I told her that a lack of leadership presence and a dependence on patrons to raise a flag is what causes businesses to fail...she didn't seem to get it because later one of the numerous servers came by and appoligised for being a bad server (again, not managements fault). The bottom line is the lack of service and accountability effectively crosses the Blue Mangrove from our list and it's my recommendation that anyone thinking of going there may want to do the same.
