First of all Lynn was a great server! Thank you! We had a crab salad and a steak. Steak was mideaocer, lacking flavor..mashed potatoes were bland salad was ok but nothing special. Presentation , just stuff slapped on a plate. They definitely need to more creative chef there. Don't think we will be back.
Bread was delicious, best part of the meal. That's sad.

Understaffed. Waited 45 minutes for all three of us to get cold food. No way would we send it back. Might not get food till midnight
Gordon Ramsey would have had a hay day with your Valentine day dinner service. The ops managers way over booked your kitchens capabilities Table next to ours, 1 hour 15 minutes until main course 1 hour 50 minutes for ours and the steak was over cooked and cold when presented Gorden would have kicked both the blue and red team out and fired the manager for biting off more than they could serve.
Opposite these other reviews, and perhaps cause it was Valentine's Day, our experience was horrible. Sat at 630 left 810 after only getting our side salads. Server was overwhelmed & told us about it multiple times. Unorganized service & we don't blame the server, Jenny, herself. Management clearly not on top of things. We will def not go back for another attempt.
Our meal was great. Don’t go on a holiday- every table around us had bad food and service. We lucked out. Casual dining near river is nice- sit at the bar- you will have a better time then in dining room. Female blonde manager needs to learn hospitality and the basics on customer service- too many excuses.
It took two hours to receive our dinner after ordering. "Misplaced ticket". We asked the waiter if "Prime filet was actually prime rib. He said yes. Two people ordered. One received filet mignon. The other received New York strip. Because of the long wait we gave up and ate what was served. Very disappointing Valentine dinner.
Went for Valentine's Day, had reservation and seated right away. Husband's water glass was dirty, crusty handprints on outside. Ordered bottle of wine, one wine glass had lipstick on it. Appetizer took almost an hour to arrive, had to find manager to get it. Had to ask for bread which should have brought complementary. Entrees arrived about 30 minutes later, my Red Snapper was overcooked, dry and very fishy, vegetables were cold. Husband's sea bass was good but baked potato came dry, was ordered with butter and sour cream, and his vegetables were ice cold... no condiments on table. Tried to find owner/manager again but saw him retreat to his office. Had to voice complaints to another manager who proceeded to ask us, " Well what would you like me to do?"....REALLY?????? 😡 She did end up comping our entrees. Table behind us were seared before us and after 2 hours were still waiting for their entrees. Patrons were being taken to tables that weren't even cleaned or set, people were waiting by tables as they were being cleaned. Witnessed many patrons having to flag down server or manager or whoever would respond. We have eaten there many times and have never had issues....this was a complete disaster!!
Had a reservation but was told we would have to wait an hour for outdoor seating. In conversation at hostess table we alluded that they didn’t really care whether we were there or not. Female Mgr said she didn’t care but Convinced us to eat indoors as mgr said service and food were very good. Wrong. We should have left. Waited half an hour just to place order, had to ask for bread and got it 15 minutes after ordering, asked when we were going to get our salads. Server said they have to make salads and kitchen was in a mess since they were so busy and it was a Holiday, meal and salads finally came on same serving tray 45 min after ordering. This was with a limited menu due to holiday. Very disorganized and everyone was in panic mode. Ordered 2 glasses of wine which never came. Male Mgr came to table after we asked for him. He wanted to make us happy so we got a complimentary bottle of wine. However when the bill finally came our 2 glasses of wine which we did not get was on the bill. Had to ask server to remove from bill she said Mgr would not do. When we asked to see the Mgr again, server came back with revised bill taking the 2 wines off. All this aggravation,horrible service and mediocre food with a total bill of $160 for 4. There were a lot of unhappy customers in the dining room. Will never go back.
I never received a confirmation in a timely manner. I wanted a reservation for 4 people & the app would not work. I had my sister-in-law use her acct & she was able to get our reservation. This is the second time in the last 2 months I have had issues with using the Open Table app to make reservations at The Blu Mangrove Grille & other restaurants. Really not worth using the app.
