Blu Kouzina is bringing its signature, wholesome Greek cooking to the Sunshine State after gracing for the past five years Singapore’s culinary scene. The acclaimed restaurant, born out of the founders’ passion for the food of their native Greece and their love of sharing a hearty, family meal with friends, has set up a second home in Sarasota.

Fresh and quality ingredients, mostly grown organically, and sourced from well established, local producers are used in dishes that are both traditional and creatively contemporary. What remains uniquely Greek and genuine are the flavors and the scents of extra virgin olive oil, fresh fish or succulent lamb that will take you on a journey from a beach-side taverna to a rural mezze shop.

This is our first time here. Nice and cozy place with great friendly service, and food out of this world!!! Great wine selection as well. Bit pricey, but given quality of food, and actually true Greek cuisine - it's worth it! Will definitely come here again!

The outdoor seating is taverna-style. Tables are fairly close together, noise level is loud when all the tables are full. The food was excellent, especially the lamb shank red beet and apple salad, and smoked eggplant dip. The menu has very clearly marked gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, and vegetarian icons. Our service was fine, dinner was nicely paced. This was our third time at the restaurant and we will go again.

Food excellent and fully representative of authentic small village cuisine. Wine list is all Greek and better than all of the Greek restaurants of Chicago which has a large wealthy Greek community. Youvetsi is fantastic.

As someone who comes from a Greek family and has dined in Greek Town in Detroit growing up I am familiar with authentic greek food. This place was good! Definitely not as authentic as what I grew up with but definitely good. Saginaki was 7/10 for me. Was disappointed Saginaki was not served with pita or bread, and adding some was an up charge. Spinach pie was full of fresh dill and lemony flavor, but light on the feta and over cooked to my liking (Philo dough was pretty toasty/brown). My husband ordered the lamb lollipops, he enjoyed them. His only comment on these was he asked for them cooked medium and they came out rare, like rare rare. So they kindly took them back to fix and apologized, unfortunately it took them a while to get them back to us (15 min?) and by the time they did they were cooked well temperature.

Our server Daniella was fabulous. We had recently been to Greece and her recommendations created a terrific Greek "Sarasota" dining experience. Her wine recommendations were excellent. So many people don't realize how great Greek wines are.... with the proper guidance. The meal was outstanding. Highly recommend.

One of our favorite places to eat. Food is fantastic and the service usually is too. The lower rating on the service was from the lady that was taking us to our table. We had reservations. When she brought my wife and her cousin to the table it was near the food prep counter that has the warming lights. The problem was you can feel the heat at our table. When my wife asked if we could move to a table for 4 that was vacant further away she said no, it was reserved. My wife reminded her that we also had reservations, she jstill said no. When my wife suggested that combining 2 tables of 2 that was adjacent and split our table into 2, she said no. Needless to say, we could have chosen to walk out at this time, however our company was hungry and at 6:30 to find another restaurant that would have immediate opening would be impossible. So we will think twice next time when making reservations and see what other options are available. BTW, the party of 4 that did arrive first that table was over an hour after we arrived. It sat empty that whole time!

The meal and service were exceptional! They were very busy but handled the volume quite well. Had a pork chop cooked "moist". Was probably the best porkchop I have ever had. Greek salad was second to none. Finished meal with a slice of orange cake with a piece of baklava. Perfect finish. Great meal and experience!

This is my favorite restaurant from Ana Maria to Siesta Key. The lamb shanks - both iterations - are just dynamite. My wife and I each had one last night along with the freshest Greek salad and Saganaki you can find. Can’t wait til they open in The UTC.

Step right onto the Greek Isles in this 100% authentic Greek restaurant, from the bread to the wine to the cushy pillows for your back at the table, everything is designed to transport you. An extensive wine list with loads of tasting details guides you to your ideal wine or cocktail choice. The even larger and more detailed food menu will leave none of your taste buds lacking. Specials are very fresh and very popular. My red snapper special could have been a wee less overcooked, but otherwise excellently prepared.

Blu Kouzina NEVER disappoints! The staff are all family ( or like family) and treat their guests as such as well. The food is amazing and we always dine there when we are in LBK! Highly recommend the Imam Eggplant and the grilled calamari! Though you cant go wrong with chicken kabobs or anything you order. They have amazing GF options as well.

Blu Kouzina has the best Greek salad anywere. Fresh tomatoes, great seasoning and delicious feta cheese. Their service is great too especially Vinnie. It doesn't matter if you're on the patio or inside, it's always a great meal.

Great food. Really friendly and attentive service. The food was carefully prepared and delicious. Very good portions so bring your appetite. The wine is extensive and all from Greece. We didn’t recognize a single label but the servers had great recommendations.

This has been one of my favorite restaurants in the Sarasota area, since it opened. The spanakopita and Greek salad are wonderful starters. The lamb chops and fish specials are absolutely abundantly flavorful. Delicious all the way around.

Was very surprised and disappointed to see that a 3.5 % convenience was added to the bill if using a credit card. This is something new. If this is to offset what the business pays the cc companies then it is only convenient for the business-- this charge should be on them, as it is the cost of doing business. If not, then make this a cash only business.

A bit more casual than I was expected. Great menu and excellent service. The food was mixed. One dish (meat) was overdone. My moussaka was good but not great. Furniture (chairs and table) had a stickiness. I suspect it was the paint used plus the humidity and possibly recent flooding of the restaurant. It wasn't appealing, but hoping they are addressing the problem. Lots of outdoor seating, which is great being on St. Armand's circle. Will go again, but with lowered expectations.
