After the success of the first location in Singapore, the owners of Blu Kouzina opened this one in Sarasota, Florida. With a beach theme, open kitchen and decor in whites and blues, it fits right in with the Sunshine State. Dine in the relaxed dining room or enjoy your meal on the outdoor patio at Blu Kouzina.
The menu is full of authentic dishes from the owners' native Greece. All dishes are made with locally sourced fresh ingredients. The quaint restaurant is popular so reservations are a great idea. The friendly and attentive staff will be glad to help you choose from all the amazing menu options. Start with some warm Greek bread. The lamb chops are a popular dish with regular customers and come with fresh vegetables. No meal at Blu Kouzina is complete without some baklava for dessert.

Very good experience. Waiter was professional and friendly. Food was tasty and well prepared and tresented.
The food here is incredible- I love the lamb kabobs and the lemon pepper chicken is AMAZING!!! The staff is kind and attentive. My two small children say it’s their favorite restaurant because they have a small toy box for kids to choose a toy to play with during dinner and they bring special plates and cups for the little ones.
Excellent food. All fresh. Scallops are some of the best I have had. Very good and pleasant wait staff.
Great meal, fresh ingredients.
Lovely restaurant, nice people, authentic Greek food, great wine choice!
We absolutely love Blu Kouzina. The food is fresh, delicious and authentic! The staff are lovely... warm and welcoming. Moises is an excellent server and the management is fantastic
Always a home run. Fresh food, great seasoning, very service oriented.
We’ve been coming here since it first opened a few years ago. We are never disappointed! It’s one of our favorite restaurants.
We had a nice table by the window. The server was nice and accommodating. Food is delicious. The only problem is the loudness of the restaurant. It is so loud that you have to strain to hear the person across the table. Time for improvement to the acoustics.
More casual Greek restaurant on St Armand’s Circle. Food was fresh and good, and made to order. They don’t use freezers or microwaves, which is good. Service was just ok - we weren’t told the fish specials and waiter just seemed really eager to take our order as soon as we sat down. First glass of wine was sour but waiter brought another immediately but didn’t seem concerned. While we appreciate attentive wait staff, and don’t want to wait forever, it would have been nice to not feel so rushed and given us time to look over wine list and menu a bit more - as we were first time guests (but are locals). We would go back, but probably not our first choice unless we were craving Greek food.
We really enjoyed our dinner here. Everything we ordered was delicious. Servers were very attentive and friendly. I would definitely go back next time we are in the area.
It is our favorite place for grilled fish!
They also offer very nice Greek wines
A lively experience and bright decor. Service is super friendly and the seafood is as fresh as it gets.
We’ve never been disappointed when we go to Blu Kouzina.
The food was outstanding. The bean salad is delicious!!Service was attentive.
Nice crowd. One of my favorite restaurants!
We have often dined at Blu Kouzina and find the food authentic, freshly prepared and consistent in taste. They serve American lamb, which i much more prefer to New Zealand or Australian lamb. I have never had a more delicious Cornish hen, which is baked to perfection, with lemon, olive oil and potatoes. Service is excellent also. We prefer sitting on outdoor covered patio or on sidewalk, as we find the inside very noisy. The newly added wooden benches offer comfortable seating but are impossible to get into.
Awesome food with great service! Love this place....
This was our second meal at Blu Kouzina. The staff is very friendly and engaging. Our meal this time was not as flavorful as the last. I was disappointed with the moussaka as it just tasted like cooked ground beef and the peeling on the eggplant was tough and not worth eating. The salad was huge and good and the stuffed pepper very good. There was a birthday dinner going on so the noise level was higher than usual. We do plan to return.
Way too expensive for small portions of pretty good food.
Food here is amazing. It was my third time going and have loved it each time!
Selected BK to celebrate Easter on my vacation. Requested a table outside with reservation and was told all tables were reserved, although I had made the request weeks ago:( The food was okay, heavily salted, and for a greek restaurant the portions were small. The cornish hen with lemon and oregano was very tasty. My Ukrainian server was the best and his award-winning smile made the evening. No one else smiled at me or made me feel welcome as a single, yet the "regulars" got hugs and smiles. There was a ruckus in the kitchen that could be heard by the diners. Increase portion sizes and use less salt and of course, be more welcoming! It's a greek restaurant after all!
This was our 2nd visit in the last 2 months... absolutely excellent. Food was so fresh, so many great choices, amazing flavors. No heavy sauces or excess - just nice seasoning, perfectly prepared. Fantastic service from Moy - ask for him! Super friendly and helpful. 6 of us all had different dishes and everyone equally thrilled.
Recommended so gave it a try. Had a pretty decent spanakopita appetizer so thought we were on a roll ... but no. Ordered moussaka but mostly burger mixed with tomato paste without much taste. No need to return.
We are pretty picky about food and not easily impressed by restaurants but this one was top notch. We had a special dish of large Greek beans (not green) stewed in a tomato sauce and spanakopita to start. Both were excellent. Then we split one of their fresh fish. They bring the whole fish to your table so you can choose which you want. Then they grill it to perfection and bring it back to show you. If you want at that time they will take it back and debone it for you (we did). The fish is not cheap but well worth it. It
is served with best Greek potatoes I've ever had as well as delicious vegetables (green beans). We will definitely be back.
We were seated overlooking the kitchen. I almost asked to be reseated. I am so glad I didn’t. We got to watch a great production. Baskets of fresh fish were grilled, filleted, and then presented to customers. I enjoyed eating moussaka and my husband loved his chicken kabob. We enjoyed our experience and I almost felt that I was in Greece.
Excellent food and attentive service on an evening when the restaurant was jammed. Only complaint was that our table for 5 was positioned beneath the main a/c vent for cooling the entire restaurant. It was freezing.
Best seafood in Sarasota. A fabulous restaurant with outstanding staff, ambiance and food! A must eat at for locals and anyone visiting the area and I am local.
Sophisticated Greek fare in scenic St Armands Circle. The classics are nicely refreshed and presented here: spinach pies in crispy purses of phyllo, spreads like tzatziki and baba ganoush that are fresh and healthy. Some new stuff too like zucchini croquettes or yellow lentil spread. Very good local fish served whole with hearty sides.
Very authentic looking, feeling & tasting. Best pastitsio I’ve ever had! Table shared a grilled 3 pound yellowtail snapper, delicious! My favorite restaurant in the Circle.
The restaurant was wonderful. I felt like I was in Greece!!
My favorite place to eat on longboat key! Brought colleagues who loved it. Amazing food. Wonderful service.
Consistently amazing and fresh food. Great gluten free options. And, the staff are wonderful!!
The fish was fabulous! So fresh and delicious. Our group also tried the lamb kebab and eggplant. Everything was tasty.
Service was good until we received our food. We then felt like we were always looking for our waiter.
We had our eye on this restaurant for quite a long time because my wife and I both love Mediterranean cuisine, so we finally decided to try it with another couple. It was moderately busy on a Monday evening but we had no trouble being seated at a nice table that was semi-outside, overlooking the street but not on the sidewalk. Our waiter, Theo, was very knowledgeable about the menu and had an engaging personality, offering several good suggestions.
For our starter we had the zucchini patties, then my wife had the mousaka, I selected the lamb spare rib special. Our friends had the saganaki starter, then the bifteki wrap and chicken skewer. We all agreed that the food was quite good but not exceptional, as it should have been for the relatively high price. My average rating is a result of the value proposition.
The staff here is so friendly and helpful, attentive without hovering. The food is delicious. Table settings are beautiful. It’s a wonderful dining spot, inside, outside or indoor patio!
A well run Greek restaurant and quality is good . I wish they would do something more like an authentic lamb kabob instead of a lamb patty. I also feel the glasses of wine could be more generous. But overall a really pleasant restaurant and we’ll go again.
Consistently the freshest and most delicious food!!!
