Great view, food was good, server was nice. Prices were steep, portions small, and the ambiance poor. Did not feel like a restaurant.

Food was delicious. Nice atmosphere. Quiet and enjoyable evening. Servers somewhat inattentive. Rarely checked table. Waited 20 minutes to order drinks. Despite marginal service would go again for the food or if looking for a dining spot for quiet uninterrupted conversation.

We found the entrees to be too sweet, lamb and the potato was under cooked. Great service!

My first visit to Blu will not be my last! My 13 year old and I dined prior to seeing a show. The atmosphere was nice, service was great and food was delicious. Our server Daniel was quick, attentive and made a great dessert recommendation. We’ll definitely be back!

Our seating was on time and the staff was very attentive and professional. We had dinner and drinks before a show at the Paramount. The food was superb and the view was terrific.

I would highly recommend it for a group outing or a date night.

I’ve been dining at Blu for years and nearly always enjoy it. Very good food at reasonable prices and a lovely atmosphere. Great for pre theatre or pre movie dinner, or meet up at the bar after work. Not enough people know about Blu because of its odd location; you have to take an elevator up to the same level as a health club. Once you’re in the restaurant, though, you’re overlooking Washington Street and the theatre district, and the wait staff is always friendly and gracious. I recommmd it highly.

Blu is our "go-to" place before Broadway in Boston shows at the Opera House. We've had the same waiter twice and he is very professional, knowledgeable and attentive. We love the menu, and we're out with some time to spare to take a nice walk before going to the theater.

This should have been a really romantic evening for my husband and myself. We were just in town for the weekend hoping to enjoy a great evening dinner. It started off well and we were seated in what I believe to be the best seat i the house. We had a view of the paramount and it was picture perfect. Our appetizer and drinks came quickly and we truly enjoyed it. Bread came after (odd), then dinner, which we both truly enjoyed. Then a few bites into our dinner it all went down hill. Two tables away from us were a group 15-20 girls celebrating a sweet 16. We actually didn't even notice them until this point because we were enjoying each others company and they were doing the same. But when the girls finished their meal they got up to take photos. A few photos would have been fine. But this proceeded on for TWENTY MINUTES!! Each girl had to take 10 photos with every girl there. It didn't stop until my husband realized their chaperone was at the bar and asked her to settle them down that they were ruining our dinner. We were visibly upset and annoyed. No staff asked if we wanted to be moved or if anything could be done.

Our waiter was amazingggg. So attentive, professional yet personable, and cautious of my dietary restrictions. The view was the best I've ever seen in the city. Our food was cooked perfectly and the menu had a combination of delicious, down-to-earth food with a gourmet kick and surprising combinations. Everything was cooked to perfection and presented beautifully yet not too intimidating. Can't wait to go back!

We had an early (6:00) pre-theater dinner here on a Friday night. The food was outstanding; the service surprisingly quick, and the server from Brazil friendly and helpful. Sirloin carpaccio, beet salad, flatbread, lamb dish - all excellent. We sat at a table next to the bar which was a little bit noisy but there are larger tables around the corner which I imagine are quieter. The fourth-floor view of Washington street was fun to watch.

I have been going to Blu for years, usually sitting at the bar with friends. I had some people in town who wanted unstuffy dining but good food. Sitting at a table was just as nice as the bar because of the good service. Everyone enjoyed their meal and certainly, no one left hungry! The menu has a good variety so that if you have a mixed crowd in food taste, there is something for everyone.

The place reminded us of a cooperate cafeteria and the service was horrible. We were obviously disappointed in the drinks and food and ate almost nothing. The server never once asked us how anything was. He was obviously not interested in making us happy, so we left after the appetizers.

Arrived early and was seated immediatly. Staff was attentive and friendly. Was offered a wine by the glass menu, but had to request a bottle menu. Offered Bread and EVOO for dipping. Calamari was tasty and served with a nice tapenade. Capriccio was done well and salted nicely (unfortunately the only thing that was). Caprese Salad was presented nicely but was light on EVOO and Balsamic making somewhat pedestrian. Vegan Entree of Roasted veggies was.... roasted veggies. Duck Breasts skin failed to crisp making the rubber exterior a challenge to cut through. Duck was cooked a little more than it should have been, probably as a result of attempting to crisp up the exterior. (a crispy skin starts long before it hits the pan). Bread Pudding was delicious but the dessert offered as a Tiramisu was um, I'm not sure what I would have called it but I would avoid creating an expectation it was in any way associated with the classic dessert . One other suggestion I'd make would be keep Salt on the tables as it doesn't seem to be getting a lot of use in the kitchen. Nothing offensive and nothing to create an impression. Great ingredients presented fancifully with a serious lack of seasoning.

Great location and perfect for pretheater dining. Flatbreads are delicious. Entrees of scallops and swordfish fresh, perfectly cooked, and nicely plated. Our second time there and not the last! (Could do a bit better in the dessert selections though)

This was the first time that food actually made me sad. My entree, "The Vegan Feast," was barely appetizer-size and lacked any semblance of flavor. Not once after serving the food did the wait staff appear to ask if everything was fine, and not because the place was busy. The view of the theatre district was very nice, but dinner was horribly overpriced and necessitated a stop at another restaurant afterward for sustenance. In all fairness, the lemonade was delicious, but for a hundred dollar dinner for three, Blu should be called Bleh.
