this remains on the best restaurants in Toronto. its pricey, but for a special occasion you cant go wrong.
This restaurant scores high on creativity but not so much on the quality of food. Unfortunately for Japanese cuisine, this could be a deal breaker. The decor and atmosphere were great, so were the wait staff. If they could put more effort into better raw material, this place can still have a lot of potential.
Local gem and a pleasure to have spent New Year's Eve there with my wife. Tasting menu, vibe and service were great.
Great place. Elegant yet approachable. Like Canada.
Absolutely incredible! Best meal ever!
Great service, love the décor. Very cool looking restaurant. Our server brought out plates of treats for my birthday, enough for the whole group to try, which was very nice. Only real complaint would be the lighting - it is very dark inside this restaurant. It is difficult to read the menu. Two members of our party had to use their phone's flashlight in order to read, and we noticed our neighboring table doing the same thing. This restaurant is a lot of share plates, which is great, but we had 9 people and it was a bit of a hassle trying to share plates up and down the table because not everyone sat directly next to their partner. Would go again though, I think it's a nice spot to have a date.
Great! Everything was wonderful.
Began to frequent Blowfish when it first opened. Quickly established itself as one of my go-to spots for fun dining. Hadn't been there in a decade so was a little apprehensive about returning for a taste. No worries - the food quality and ambience were as good as ever. Well done to Tak and his crew for maintaining such a high standard all these years!
Their Omakase is more like a sushi platter. There is no uniqueness to it. It’s not worth the money.
Decent at best, all around.
