Our server Corey was AWESOME - the food was amazing and they were incredible with accommodating gluten free which is surprisingly rare in such a foodie town
This was our favorite place we visited in Charleston! We went in because we saw the oyster bar in the window. Once we sat down, we were greeted by the most fun, sweet waitstaff you could imagine. Josh took excellent care of us and made our time in Charleston more special. In fact, we came back to see him and eat there 3 times! The oysters, fried green tomatoes, brunch, étouffée, fried artichokes, pimento cheese biscuits and drinks were all excellent. This restaurant really went above and beyond for us.
we had a nice dinner. the server was on the quiet side but made suggestions when asked and was there when we needed him. service was timely and managers were visible and helpful in the dining room
Food was excellent. I got local swordfish and my date got local shrimp. Both very good and generous portion in comparison to some other restaurants. Waitress was very timely and took care of our needs without overdoing it.
We will return soon
As always the food was great and the service
We came here with family that came into town. We had made a reservation and arrived promptly for it. We were seated right away and they had a place for my fiance's mobility scooter. Jan our server was so pleasant. Great service and fairly fast service time once we ordered our meals. We will be back again!
Food was awesome, had the best mascato I've ever tasted. Desserts were beyond delicious!
We ate lunch on the patio! It was a beautiful day! Cooper was our waiter and we received great service!!
We had the crab and artichoke dip which was delicious! We also had the beet salad and the catfish entree served with grits and fried green tomatoes which we both thought was fabulous!
We chose Blossom because it was one of the few restaurants in the historic district where we could get a reservation on the same day. I was underwhelmed by the food and wouldn't go back for that reason.
Blossom was a lovely time. Our waiter was great, and the food was delicious. Don't miss out on their amazing desserts, too! You will be so pleased you chose this restaurant!
The parking is less than adequate and an added expense!
Really great food but too noisy
Great meal and superb service ... will come again when we visit Charleston.
We came to Blossom as a foursome for a birthday dinner and all aspects were fantastic. We had a reservation and had no wait at all for our table. We'll definitely be back!
The food and drinks were delicious! We did feel a bit rushed by the wait staff and they missed delivering an order of soup. A great atmosphere! Would recommend inspite of the wait staff.
Dining room was way too noisy. The room was filled with a smoky and sometimes burnt smell. Cloths stunk when we left. Fried green tomato appetizer was over cooked and the mahi mahi bland and tasteless. Very disappointed.
Had friends visiting Charleston and wanted to take them out to a nice place.
Delicious, fresh seafood. Great variety of choices on the menu. Outstanding, entertaining waiter.
This was the first time in a long time that all aspects of a dining experience truly excelled. It’s not hard to find good food, but when it’s combined with ideal service and efficiency in a quiet, understated elegance is truly special.
Great fried green tomatoes!
Thanks for making our 35th wedding anniversary special. We appreciated the glasses of champagne and the mention of our special occasion. The food and service was very good. I definitely recommend.
This was my first time visiting Blossom and we had a great time. The food was amazing and the portions were a perfect size. Being a Registered Dietitian, I was very impressed with the quality and quantity of the food. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the server not doing anything special for my birthday. My family mentioned it to her but she did not do anything. Everything else was great!
My husband and I dined there on a Saturday night. The hostess accommodated when we called to say we were running late for our reservation (we drove in from out of town). Our food choices: a fried calamari and clam appetizer, the scallop special (which was with thai flavors - tastefully applied, vegetables carefully prepared: charred bok choi, al dente carrots and onions) and a contrasting choice of blackened catfish (a constant on their menu) with delicious pimento cheese melted atop, served over creamy grits, andouille sausage, and perfectly balanced succotash of corn, butter beans, and shrimp. All delicious, all prepared perfectly with just the right amount of seasoning so that the elements shone. Our server (Dima - forgive if the spelling is incorrect) had excellent timing, great recommendations, and gracious manners and conversation. We loved the quiet, lovely outdoor seating we experienced that night. Thank you.
Everything was outstanding. Food and service both. Bill was terrific.
Went for a wedding anniversary date. Food and service were great. ~$25 per plate. Went around 9pm. I thought it was a little loud and seating was a little crowded. Overall we had a great experience.
Food was delicious and wait staff excellent. We were seated promptly and taken care of the entire meal
Very much enjoyed the food at Blossom. I get so tired of seeing the same things on every restaurant menu, Blossom was a treat. My friend and I shared the fried artichoke hearts, very good. I had the Tuna over lemon, basil, ricotta gnocchi with corn and fresh pea, fantastic!!! Exactly like eating spring/summer in a bowl! A light, delicate dish, but with tons of flavor. I would eat this weekly, if I lived in Charleston. My friend had grilled shrimp with sides of grits and Brussel sprouts and was very happy. Previous reviews are correct about the noise level. It's epic, but so is the food. I love that the service was professional but not stuffy or pretentious. We left happy.
Visiting Charleston for the week. Wanted to finish our visit with a seafood dinner. Blossom was the place! Tried the fried green tomatoes (a first) for an appetizer. Amazing!!!!! Beet salad. I had oak roasted salmon & my husband had the Mahimahi dinner. We we're not disappointed. Service was excellent, food was perfect. We were not rushed at all. Being from CT I give Blood 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟.
Great way to end our stay in Charleston. Thank you .
Nice place for any occasion. We ate outside and the service was great.
Enjoyed the patio seating. Tasty oysters up front, and then Delicious shrimp and grits!
We enjoyed a beautiful afternoon with outdoor seating
Had drinks and oysters a the bar for happy hour, then continued to a table for dinner. Blue crab ravioli was scrumptious!
We had a nice quiet dinner for date night here and we would definitely come back!
The food is a;ways so good and we love the intimate feeling the atmosphere provides. The oyster rocker feller are the best I have ever had!
Food we had was very good, but not outstanding; noise level fairly high.
Excellent service from the moment we walked in the door - fun, friendly, professional staff. Wonderful, creative menu - we both loved the buttermilk fried artichoke hearts - just one of the many available appetizers - it was hard to choose just one. Great choice of wine by the glass whether as a cocktail or meal accompaniment. Oak-roasted salmon over butternut squash risotto was perfection. And please do yourself a favor and order the caramel praline cake - there’s nothing like it in all of Charleston! - my friend and I texted each other about it later in the evening - we loved it that much.
Great service, food, seating. I’ll go back!
The meal was delicious and the service was prompt and attentive. We had the wedge and mesclun salads as starters. For dinner, we had shrimp and grits and fried flounder.
Excellent service, meals were delicious.
Coming from out of state and looking for a great dining experience in Charleston, I was excited to visit Blossom. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our experience. We had a drink at the bar to start and experienced a busy and rude bartender. When shown to our seats I couldn't believe how loud the dining room was compared to the bar setting. It was a busy Saturday evening and it literally sounded like a cafeteria from the moment we stepped inside - the acoustics are horrible given the flooring choice and open ceiling. Everyone in the room was basically shouting at one another to be heard even at their own table. I saw several couples, including one sitting next to us, sitting in silence because they could not hear each other across their own table. We asked to be reseated in the area with the lower ceiling in order to combat the noise but were unable to be accommodated despite an open table. Two in our party sat along the bench seating in the center of the dining room and felt every movement that the party on the opposite side made during our dinner. Our dinner was good but it just couldn't make up for the terrible ambience experience.
Great. This was our second time visiting this restaurant and will not be the last.
