Blossom Vegetarian Ratings and Reviews
We made a reservation here for Valentine's Day and were excited to celebrate at a new (to us) vegetarian restaurant. Overall, it was a frustrating dining experience. Service was very slow, with us needing to request dishes halfway through a course twice. It was our waitress's first day, which may have been part of the issue. We also ordered a prosecco at the very beginning of our meal and asked about 30 minutes into the meal whether it was coming. At this point, the waiter (another waiter) we asked explained that the restaurant did not have a liquor license temporarily because of new management. This is something that would have been much more courteous to explain at the beginning of a meal, especially for a holiday. Likewise, it is puzzling that the waitress did not explain this herself. The food was decent, but not good enough to bring us back after such a frustrating meal.
My wife and sister in law tried Blossom several weeks ago. The opportunity came to try it out myself so my wife and I went. I am not a vegetarian and have never enjoyed eating rubber, aka tofu. I was very impressed. Good flavor, not too loud, friendly staff. It was a wee bit chilly so take a jacket.
The food was good but took a very long time for a lunch- it all came out at once - fresh rolls, soup and the entrees. The heat was out so the place was frigid - however the food was very good and it just seemed an off day for them due to the heat situation- it was December after all. I'd go back.
Great place. We were surprised to see meat dishes on the menu until the waiter said "EVERYTHING is vegetarian". So my husband who is allergic to beef tried the sesame beef. It was very good. I recommend trying the clay pots too. My favorite was the sweet and sour spareribs.
Blossom was recommended to us while we were visiting Seattle by family members who are locals and regulars of the restaurant. We were not disappointed. The menu was extensive - a real treat for vegetarians. We sampled a wide variety of dishes and found them all very tasty, unique, and appetizing. And the bill was quite reasonable.
Even if you're not vegetarian (I'm not; my wife is) you shouldn't miss this place if you are anywhere near Renton. We'll be back for sure.
The vegetarian food here is outstanding! Fresh, inventive, and always delicious. Our party of 3 had the Fresh spring rolls, Almond chicken, stir fried vegetables, and mackerel, plus brown rice. Foolishly enough, we ordered a fifth dish--General Tso's chicken--which, thankfully was not brought out, since we already had plenty. Our waiter probably had the sense to not put in the order, although he remembered everything else without writing a single thing down. Amazing! The service was quick, efficient & courteous. We always make it a point to visit Blossom whenever we're in the Seattle area. A real gem!
Vegetarian Blossom in Renton is a serious gem. Being vegan it can seem impossible to find anything to eat other than french fries or salad. However, Blossom has a huge menu with so many vegan options and everything being vegetarian. It has a comfortable, homey feel while also managing to avoid that snootiness that seems to come with vegan/vegetarian places. It's accessible to everyone and there is something for vegan vegetarians and carnivores alike! The "beef" skewers are the best vegan alternative I've ever had, and I've been vegan for a while now. Everyone should try this place out, it'll definitely be worth your time!
I had a couple of Vegan friends come into town and I immediately me thought that Blossom would be a good option for dinner. There were 4 of us that went to dinner that night and only one person thought their dinner was okay, the rest of us were less than impressed. The chicken was rubbery and dry in my dish plus I had to flag the waiter over to take our order after sitting there about 10 to 15 minutes. We received our dinner promptly but the waiter didn't come back until the end of the meal and I sat there without water for 5 or 10 minutes. We won't be going back to give it another try. I expected it to be so much better after reading the reviews, but it didn't rate that high for us.
We love blossom. We live in Tacoma and it is definitely worth the drive. I'd go here everyday if I could. I dream about it when I'm not here. When I'm eating somewhere else I wish I was at blossom. We've taken hard core carnivores here and they've loved it.
We were quite surprise when we ate at this vegetarian restaurant. We expected heavy cheesy and sauce-laden vegetable dishes with a preponderance of eggplant. To the contrary, the food was delicately flavored, light, and delicious. The restaurant is beautiful in its simple but classy decoration and the environment is calming and quiet. There must be a dozen varieties of tea and other non-alcoholic beverages as well as wine, and beer are also available. The staff is helpful and friendly.
Don't miss this gem in downtown Renton -- it's a winner!
Well, we didn't realize this was a Vietnamese restaurant or we likely wouldn't have gone but for being Vegetarian & Vietnamese, it was actually pretty darn good. The "chicken" fried rice was by far my favorite! We actually ordered it for our son and loved it more than our own dishes. The pan-fried rice noodles were also very good. Give this place a try, you will likely be pleasantly surprised. Great service and very reasonably priced too, which is always appreciated.
I was confused when I saw chicken and mackerel on the menu, when the name of restaurant includes Vegetarian. While the menu was not too clear, server finally explained that everything is made from vegetarian, making imitation meet/fish.
Flavor of food was decent, it was very interesting to try imitation fish. The menu was so extensive, I would need to return to try more things.
If you want a new and inspired experience for your taste buds, then dine at Blossom Vegetarian. Every appetizer and dish made our mouths water and hearts sing! And if you are more of a meat eater, the chef masterly creates dishes that have the flavor and texture of what you'd expect from your favorite cut.
I enjoyed a special birthday at Blossom. The ambiance was perfect - lively and festive! Plus, they have a perfect side room that fits about 12 around a large round table with a lazy Susan. I enjoyed easily sharing dishes, and seeing and having conversation with my loved ones.
Finally, you gotta meet Gene Sens, the owner. He has the gift of hospitality and creating a menu and dining experience that will bring a smile to your face.
Came here to Seattle with the Much Better 1/2 for the DAL-SEA football match (Oct 12). The Cowboys did what they were supposed to do and Blossom Vegetarian did what they were supposed to do. They said that they had given our table away by accident (yeah ok) They rank pretty close to The Veggie House in Las Vegas. Great food. Good service. Great city. Great people.
