It has become one of my favorite brunch spots in NYC. The wait staff is super attentive and the food is delicious. When the bill came I couldn’t believe how cheap it was. Long Island prices in NYC.
I’m disappointed that the “specials” have been eliminated from the menu on weekends I’ve always liked Blooms but will not eat there as often due to the elimination of specials
Cool place. Relaxed atmosphere- very good pub fare- great staff. Check it out
Just happened to be in New York on Super Bowl Sunday and the hotel concierge recommended Blooms to watch the game. We had a great time, the food was good and the service was excellent.
Didn't realize you enter the gratuity and I put in an extra $60 so the girl got $113 tip it would have been night if she would have said something but she probably needed the money
Delightful, delicious experience!
Excellent service, very friendly establishment. Would return again.
Had a reservation. Hostess couldn't find it. When I showed my OpenTable email from an hour before she said she didn't have anything, Ultimately high top in the bar.
Neither the waitress who took my order nor the food deliverer noticed I had no silverware. Asked after food came & I eventually got it. Then noticed no salt & pepper. These are basics I expect of any eatery.
Much less troubling but 4 TVs; 2 games; same game on left 2 screens; right screens both had a second game. Weird; wouldn't logic be G1, G2, G1, G2?
Our server was attentive, informed, thoughtful, competent....and the food was quite good. We have been to Bloom's Tavern before and will be again. Upstairs (our first time) will be our requested seating in the future.
Great place fir lunch or drinks after work
Good food and good price!
One of my favorite neighborhood restaurants. Only criticism is noise level sometimes becomes unbearable. Acoustics should be fixed
They rushed us out after one hour.
They told us there was a private party, after we we half done eating.
They should not of accepted our reservation.
We are members of 59e59 and were entitled to a 15%
discount. They gave us a 10% discount, a three dollar difference.
Will not be going back there ever.
Good service, great food - generous portions, friendly, helpful wait staff, moderate prices. Would recommend Bloom's Tavern to anyone who is interested in all of the above.
If you are in search of a causal pub atmosphere in the northern reaches of Midtown within steps of Bloomingdales and the design district you cannot go wrong with Bloom's. Casual, laid-back pub fare with a menu oriented towards comfort food. Excellent craft beer selection, nice wines and cocktails all affordable. Of note when busy the restaurant can be noisy i.e. ow ceilings, enclosed thus if in search of quiet conversation, not the best choice. However for comfort food at a reasonable price point a good option. The chicken pot pie is old-school and recommended as are the burgers.
Was there for a boozy brunch; restaurant was out of mimosas as of 1pm (bewildering, as that takes two easily acquired ingredients ). Server was not familiar with the menu.
Always good food and a lively crowd. Our go to place for weekend brunch
Fabulous food, home style food. Great fries and the $1.50 oysters are fantastically fresh. My new neighborhood spot with great food in a very welcoming setting.
I went during the World Cup and staff worked super hard to make sure our drinks were refilled for bottomless brunch. A great value!!
Blooms is one of the few moderately-priced places within easy reach of the 59359 theatre complex. Happy to have the choice of something cheaper. My meal was solid and the price reasonable. The place was boisterous and isn't where I would go for a deep discussion.
This was a good solid choice for a quick dinner. Not too pricey but the food was good. Busy bar atmosphere.
Blooms Tavern is my second home. They ALWAYS cook my food the way my diet dictates. Over the past almost 5 years they have been open I have eaten here hundreds of times with almost all my friends (from NYC and out-of-town). EVERY person has praised their meal and their drinks. Make a reservation on busy nights because they are usually packed then. Noel Donovan, the proprietor, has become a personal friend. If he can't make you feel at home no one can. The staff are friendly and will take the time to be sure you are pleased with your meal. Unlike many Busy places, they never rush you to vacate the table. They also will deliver your meal to your home in record time and as requested. Blooms Tavern is Real Irish hospitality and a sports bar at the same time.
Food and service were generally great. Only issue was having to ask three times for a glass of water. Will go back again.
I went to Blooms for my birthday. Very casual atmosphere, food was good, A+ oysters. Nice crowd and staff.
The food, pumpkin risotto, salmon, and filet mignon were all exceptional; good wine choices by the bottle.
Love the $1.50 oysters! Sat upstairs it's quiet on Tuesday night. Poor service the girl was more interested in her phone than us.
My friend and I had brunch at Bloom's Tavern on an early Sunday afternoon. The omelette and home fries were good, as was the service, but the TVs were too loud. Also, the seats were too high. I would recommend lowering the volume on the TVs and incorporating some lower tables and chairs into the restaurant.
Did the ny thing. Found a parking space and then found a restaurant. Just happened in and was very pleasantly surprised.lovely pub atmosphere, service friendly , knowledgeable and prompt.excellent shepherds pie and hamburger. Nice beer selections. Recommend for a light meal and a pleasant atmosphere
First time at Blooms. We were very well received and the food was excellent as well as the service.
Great food, great service. Only issue is seating for elderly, since most tables are high and use high bar chairs. But would definitely go back. We had brunch and it was excellent
Food, service and wine were very good and reasonable- kind of noisy but I don't usual go to pubs- hard to hear my friends talk-
We were looking for brunch before a show on the east side, but many places were very pricey. Gave Bloom's Tavern a try based on reviews online, menu and price, and we were not disappointed. It's cheerful and cozy, with friendly service and a good menu. A free brunch drink comes with each meal. The Eggs Benedict were delicious (although a crunchier English Muffin would be better) - some of the best I've ever had. Highly recommend.
Great down to earth refreshing real place to eat
We had a girls brunch scheduled and found Blooms Tavern via Open Table. The service was awesome and they're brunch special is great!!! We were welcomed right at the door and service was with a smile. We will definitely dine at Blooms Tavern again. It was a good start to a perfect day!
The service was amazing even on New Years Eve when they were planning for an influx of people a little later on.
We went in as tourists and left feeling like regulars. Amazing food, ambiance and service.
Typical Irish pub. Food and service decent. Friendly enough staff. However all the tables are bar stool height so not very comfortable for anyone over, well, maybe 40. Chicken pot pie was good with big chunks of white meat chicken, nice puff pastry.
Great pub for a good lunch. The hostess did not offer to take our coats, we had to ask. The waitress was great. Lunch was good although broccoli soup was on the thin side and not very tasty. Would go back for drinks, ambiance lends itself to that.
Excellent food - it is very loud inside so it's great for a "going out" kind of night
I went to Blooms with a group of friends before seeing a show at a theater nearby. We sat in the big booth in the back and we had a wonderful time. Great food and great service. I would come here again.
I've been to Bloom three times in the past year and a half. The first two times were in the evening and it was a last-minute decision to stop in with a friend. Recently, I made a reservation for brunch with a friend. It's always been a nice experience -- good food, reasonable prices, and very nice servers. At brunch, it was the first time I had ordered an Irish coffee and it was great. I'll definitely be going back for another one. In the evenings, the televisions are on with sports, but I've found that it's not overly loud so I can still talk with my friends.
