What a pleasant evening and meal. The service was great. Our server has worked there for years and is very good. The food was excellent. The cabbage salad was really good and held up the next day for lunch. The Guinness filet tips were a great dish. Overall a great meal and exceptional service.
food was well prepared. Your standard continental menu. Was a bit noisy but not unbearable. The waiter was very attentive and made zero mistakes.
Ordered Their Charred Duck dish and it tasted old..
My wife ordered the veal chop and it did not look like the picture in the menu..
It was just OK..
The Wine was very good.
Food was good. Got dessert to go. The banana cream pie was not as good as it used to be. I was a little disappointed.
Great job on Valentine's day. Our server Hope was very prompt and professional. My date and I both very much enjoyed everything we had from wine to entrees.
Always have had a great meal in my 5 visits, However, this past Tue. 2/13, I ordered a Steak and it was not up to par with other menu items. I was very disappointed in the quality of the meat. My wife's scallops were excellent. All other aspects of the meal were good.
Always the best.
A great place to meet up with friends or have a romantic meal with your sweetheart. Celebrated Valentine's day a few days early with the hubby and we LOVED it! We'll be back very soon. The ambiance, the staff, AND the food are to die for.
Great food and service. Nice atmosphere and great drinks.
Of all my visits here, this was the worst! I noted in my reservation that I was vegan, which was not transmitted to the chef, yet the server came back twice to ask what I wanted to have for dinner. Since they do not have any vegan friendly items on the menu, it was expected that they could indicate what the chef could prepare on 'short notice' as it were. Unfortunately, they could not and sent over the dining room manager to take my order.
Training appeared to be lacking with this order taker... then billed for items not delivered at all, this I can forgive, but not knowing or asking what the chef can prepare, I cannot.
I will try B's again in the spring to see if there have been any improvements, if not then we will go up or across the river to eateries which are just as good in terms of food prep but better in terms of staff understanding of dietary preferences.
This was our first visit and we were pleasantly surprised at how good the dinner was. The service was great as well. It was very crowded and we had to wait a bit after we ordered so we received two free glasses of wine to compensate for the wait. All in all we were very impressed so we will definitely be back.
The food was excellent- servers very pleasant- but we waited 30 minutes for our drinks ( wine) and an hour and a half for our meals to be served.
Ordered Seafood Fettucini it was terrible nothing wss fresh
Crabmeat was imitation the rest was obviously frozen
We were highly disappointed but it explained why we were the only ones having dinner there on Friday night
Also I ordered a popular drink from.the bar and was told we do.not have a blender
Very expensive for seafood that was not fresh
Dinner was ok; nothing special & over priced .
My wife and I had a great meal. The Carmelized Apple Goat Cheese Bruschetta was unique and wonderful. I enjoyed the Mocha Merlin Coffee Stout that was on tap. We will be back.
Our visit on this occasion was to celebrate the birthdays of dear friends. We ALWAYS enjoy the food, loved the live performer who added to the ambiance but the service on this occasion was both lacking and shocking. Our initial waitress was polite, and not pushy, waited while took time to order and chat. BUT sadly the young serving staff were lacking in both experience and manners. Plates were taken whilst members of our group were still eating, including being swept out from under our friend as he took his last bite. They cleared the table as we ate, interrupting our meal, our flow of conversation and enjoyment. We met other friends who had been eating on the other side of the room and the same had happened to them. As we talked to this group of friends, who are very regular patrons of the restaurant, SOMEONE flicked the lights on and off, I can only assume to advise patrons that they should be leaving. How rude, inappropriate and frankly giving me reason to ever consider returning to the Blooming Grove Inn or recommending to friends.
My Husband said it was the best Rack of Lamb he ever had
Absolutely incredible service, as always! My friends and I usually enjoy a happy hour about once a month during the summer when you can sit outside at this beautiful setting. This past week, of course, we were inside with the fire lit, the excellent service and super food. The ONLY thing I would like to see improve is more vegan and vegetarian menu choices.
This was our second time at Blooming Grove Inn. Everyone was completely satisfied with their food. The couple we came with had never been and they said they would definitely come back. The menu has a good variety without being overwhelming. I had the scallops which were amazing and my boyfriend had the short ribs which he loved. They have an extensive wine and drink list as well. It is perfect for date night.
Food is always great and they give you much to eat.
This was my second visit to Blooming Grove. While the food was good, I didn’t think it was anything special. I got the sea bass, and my husband got the lobster ravioli.
Service was quick. Food was delicious. Dining in fireplace room is romantic.
The service and food were excellent! Will be back again.
Not a very extensive menu....and overpriced. Great place for lunch, go all the time.
Excellent food...good service... always a great meal .
The room was chilly. Food was very good, service was good.
Excellent food and service! We love eating at Blooming Grove.
Great food and service. A little pricy but worth it.
Food was very good our waitress wasn't very attentive she disappeared for quite a while but overall it was a very good experience
Excellent hidden spot in Ewing. Pork chop is very good.
Food was solid. Mussels appetizer was very good. Wife got salmon dish off the menu and liked it a lot. I got the Osso Bucco and it was just OK. Meat wasn’t as moist and tender as I expected and the overall flavor was quite lacking especially for a braised dish.
Biggest disappointment of the night was the service. Our waitress seemed more interested in flirting with the bartender then making sure that bartender was pouring drinks for her diners to have with their dinner. We were almost finished our meals before she appeared and asked if we needed anything. Maybe if she actually served the plates to us instead of having the busboys and girls do it she would have seen we were lacking in the drink department. Her overall attitude towards us and her other tables left much to be desired and the tip showed it. Shame because we normally have a good experience there.
Our first time to Blooming Grove Inn and will not be our last. Loved everything about this restaurant.
Have eaten there several time, each time it is consistent and very good!
We love to try new restaurants and look to OpenTable to introduce us to them. This was well worth the trip because they have a very sophisticated menu and they executed the food admirably.
Roast duck with peppercorn sauce was superb and a snapper dish that was on the specials list was equally profound. Salads were fresh as was cold smoked fish.
The wine list is broad and has something for every one and every budget.
Service was attentive but incredibly casual, much more to what I would expect from a diner then a fine dining restaurant.
The bar was extremely lively and well attended.
We enjoyed our food and will definitely be back.
Love this place. Guitarist/singer is the best!
Charming with great food.
Musician's amp was horrible. Just loud noise
A family dinner with out of town family - perfect! We had a great space, and the waitress was so attentive! Our 6 year old nephew got his meal right away - aways important for kids! The rest of us so enjoyed the ambiance - there was a great guitar and singer in the bar area. Our nephew even wrote his letter to Santa and dropped it in the Santa's mailbox! Great holiday decor- loved the collection of Nutcrackers! Food was fabulous and plentiful - we have a another happy holiday memory thanks to Blooming Grove Inn!
Apps were tasty and hot. Salads were fresh and crisp. Both dinners were cold. Waitress offered to return to kitchen to heat ( but we refused (we were already half thru). Comped us a round of drinks, but $25-30 entrees can't be cold under any circumstance.
Have eaten there several times, each time it is consistent and very good!
Enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. We enjoyed the guitar player/singer but had trouble hearing him although he was right next to us while we dined. Would’ve enjoyed hearing him if we could. He had a great repertoire and a pleasing voice.
