To celebrate Giving Tuesday this year, OpenTable and No Kid Hungry teamed up to donate in the fight to help end childhood hunger. With diner donation points and OpenTable matching, we were able to help provide a whopping 905,185 meals* to hungry kids.
Together we were able to help provide kids with the food they need through effective in-school nutrition programs, and for that, we thank you.
In all, there were more than 891 individual donations made by diners resulting in 18.1M total points donated. To deepen the impact of this effort, OpenTable matched the first 250,000 meals donated by diners as a part of its relationship with longtime nonprofit partner No Kid Hungry.
“This holiday season, we encourage our diners to give back to those who do not know when they’ll receive their next meal,” said OpenTable’s chief growth officer Susan Lee. “Following the huge success of our partnership with No Kid Hungry in previous years, we hope to inspire people to join this movement so that we can make an impact toward ending hunger this holiday season.”

*Meal equivalency varies during COVID-19 relief. No Kid Hungry does not provide individual meals; your donations help support programs that feed kids. Learn more at NoKidHungry.org/OneDollar.
For every 200 points OpenTable will donate $1 to No Kid Hungry, once the maximum match is reached. $1 can help provide up to ten healthy meals to a child in need.
