Imaginative food when you are looking for a vegetarian meal.
When I asked for types of gin, the server said they only had "TANKARAY"
I am not exactly sure what that is...
An absolute favorite of mine and loved sharing a good meal with my friends.
Only place around with reliably great vegetarian fare.
Amazing always fresh food-everyone can find something to eat, even non veg heads.
prcing is very reasonable.
The staff super freindly. Wish we lived a bit closer. I would make this my everyday/night spot!
Highly reccomend
Great vegetarian food. Friendly environment and service. Excellent for people with food allergies
We love Blind Faith and will absolutely be back again soon!!
Who knew vegetarian dishes could taste so good!
We were celebrating my daughter’s 15th birthday. My daughter is vegan and loved all of the vegan options on the menu. She ordered the seitan with sweet potatoes and loved it. She also loved the vegan chocolate cake. I ordered the pot pie. It was flavorful but was not heated all the way through. All and all we loved our experience at the Blind Faith Cafe!
Terrific service! Lots of choices! Our family really enjoyed our Easter meal together.
Vegan and gluten-free family members picked Blind Faith Cafe for our Easter Sunday dinner. From the brussel sprouts appetizer through the entrees to the desserts (gf-vegan black forest cake) and coffee--all superb.
Our waiter Travis was very attentive and genuine. So nice to have a vegetarian restaurant with so many choices in a pleasant setting. The restaurant has a 40 year history and we look forward to our next visit.
My daughters are vegan, so this is one of their favorite places. As a true omnivore, I find this place to be exceptional for being a vegetarian/vegan restaurant. Everything I have tried has been delicious and satisfying. The only thing I could nit-pic about is that they should stock some spicier, as in hotter, sauces for those dishes that I would rather have hot, such as some of the Chinese style dishes.
Lovely brunch option for four adults, with a nice variety of beverages, and food options including (but not limited to) vegan. The server did an outstanding job of attending to our party.
Great variety of vegetarian dishes!
Had a great dinner here Saturday. Watch the cocktail menu as many drinks have sugar added and this is not mentioned on the menu. Our waiter was fine with replacing the sweet drink. We spend over 2 hours there taking and eating and never felt rushed.
We went here on a rare date night. I've been wanting to go here for several years but have only been plant based for the last year. I didn't think my wife would go for it, but she did. We looked at the menu and pictures on line and it looked pretty good. The looks were deceiving though. The food (and service) were more than pretty good. They were amazing! Our server gladly went through the menu with us to make recommendations.
We started with Brussel Sprouts and the Dolmas. My wife had the Thai Peanut noodles (just the right amount of heat) and I had a Black bean and Tofu dish on the special menu. I ordered a side of kale which was perfectly steamed.
For desert we split flourless chocolate cake and a fruit crumble. We also sampled the Vegan chocolate cake in a cupcake form. The cakes were very good but the crumble needed more fruit and less crumble, my only fault with our visit. We topped it off with Chai Latte with was also great.
If I had one major complaint with this restaurant it is that I really wanted to try everything on the menu and I couldn't! I guess we will have to go back to try something different.
We spoke to the manager on the way out. He was very interested in how we liked the restaurant, a nice touch.
An old stand-by in Evanston. My wife and daughter are vegetarians, but I am not, and I still love eating at Blind Faith. Food is consistently delicious. Solid beer and wine options, and the vegan chocolate cake is to die for.
Loved the breadth of vegetarian options. Excellent!
as usual, excellent food and service, portions are large
Overall - excellent as usual. Attentive staff with the usual very good choice of desserts
Always a favorite
I think I love the place more with each visit. Great food, super service, you always feel like you're taking care of your health while having a great meal, love this place.
Fantastic vegetarian food. Generous portions. Friendly service. Guacamole is not to be missed.
Good food and service. Great options for groups with vegans and vegetarians.Even meat eaters will be pleased with the delicious meat substitutions.
When I asked the waitress what kind of tea they served she asked me what kind I like. She obviously did not want to tell me, because she rolled her eyes and said, “black, green, and herbal.” I asked her again to tell me what kinds they had, and then she grudgingly listed them. Throughout the rest of the meal she ignored me and only spoke to my husband.
Stopped in before heading to a concert across the street at Space. Highly recommend the spinach lasagna. Will certainly be back, again.
Vegetarian and Vegan items, yet very very delicious. Has a great beer and wine list, delicious appetizers, entrees and deserts. Nothing not to like
One of our group was a vegetarian and we decided to all go vegetarian for the evening. We were pleasantly surprised - all of the food we ate was delicious! The Beet & Goat cheese salad was very filling. The Spinach Lasagna was huge - my husband couldn't finish it. Everything was well received.
Blind Faith Cafe is a great place with ample vegan options!
A great find on our recent trip to Chicago. Healthy, Creative & Vegan. Amazing service.
It was very nice, they even gave us a table right near the window just like my wife wanted! Reccomend!
This was my first time visiting and I must say, I was very impressed with the menu selection and portion size. The wait staff was very attentive and the food was great! Outside of the lack of parking and waiter telling me that they were out of cauliflower wings (right before I overheard him taking orders for them from other tables), is definitely visit again.
Valentine’s day
We were in the Evanston area and did a search for a vegetarian/vegan restaurant for dinner. We are so glad we stumbled across the Blind Faith Cafe! We had the Kamoosh and Brussels Sprouts for starters. Both were delicious! The Kamoosh were basically nachos but they were probably some of the best nachos I've had in a long time! My husband had the Shiitake Walnut Loaf which as ok and I ordered the Thai Peanut Noodles which were delicious! We also got the vegan chocolate cake and vegan peanut butter chocolate cake to-go for dessert. Both were good but the peanut butter option was better, especially the next day as it was still moist.
We came back for a second time later in the week and ordered the Thai Peanut Noodles again (they were that good!) and Yellow Coconut Curry.
All in all, the food and the service were both great! This is definitely our new favorite vegetarian/vegan spot!
Good option for those looking for vegan comfort foods. Overall, the food was okay. My greek omlette was good/simple/guiltless, my friend's bibimbop was "a little too salty." Ambience was nice, really cozy. Minus a grouchy female hostess/food runner who threw our dumplings onto the table, the service was outstanding. I will likely visit again.
We went to celebrate a birthday. Would go there again. Great vegan experience. The kids meal was spicy for a young child, but it was replaced and it was great food. Even if you don’t like vegan food I’m pretty sure you’d enjoy what I had (a “chicken” pot pie).
Been wanting to try Blind Faith for years but somehow it just never was in the neighborhood until recently. A pre theater dinner and it was perfect!
This restaurant has great food - not just for vegetarians! The entrees on the all-vegetarian menu will delight the taste buds of herbivores and carnivores alike.
I love the Blind Faith Cafe. Only started dining here in the past couple of years and I'm impressed with each visit - so why did I wait so long?!! The food is delicious and the service is excellent. Have been greeted warmly on each visit and love the cozy atmosphere. Recently met up with a friend for lunch - I had the spinach and "chorizo" quiche with salad (or the sky-high quiche as I called it - about triple the height of any quiche I've had - lol!) My friend had the spinach and feta omelette and said it was one of the best she's had. Highly recommend Blind Faith...and a stroll around the Dempster/Chicago St. neighborhood before or after. There are some quaint shops nearby.
Would recommend this place to anyone! Nice selection of entrees- very flavorful.
