Blind Faith Cafe Ratings and Reviews
a great vegetarian and vegan restaurant. A nice mix of menu items providing many choice options. The Bakery is connected to the restaurant that offers able vegan treats along side the dairy included treats - which the flourless chocolate cake was a top item.
Dishes are large portions - salad can be split for two or solo if only item eating -
the Thai peanut noodle was a very large portion and had a nice spice level.
I'm not a vegetarian, but I was willing to give this place a try. I ordered the spinach lasagna, and it was excellent. The waiter was helpful and friendly, and the food was well -prepared and arrived quickly enough for us to easily make it to downtown Evanston for a movie. I'd definitely go back.
Always Tasty! Had not had brunch at Blind Faith in a while and the menu was tweaked for the season. Everyone was satisfied with their choices and the joint was hopping! This is our go to place since two thirds our family is vegetarian but it still satisfies the omnivores.
Hard to find a veg/vegan restaurant but this fits the bill. Chef can take veggies and turn them into Asian, Italian, Mexican, French or all-American fare. Thai noodles, lasagna, Marsala, “burgers” are just some examples. Whether you want soup, salad, appetizers, sandwiches or full blown entrees you can find it here. The wine list is pretty good too. Prices are quite reasonable. Bakery goods to go also. Yum!
My wife and I enjoyed everything about history place! The food was fresh and delicious, the service was superb, and the staff was very proffesional. The food portions were generous and the ingredients were fresh and tasty. Highly recommend this restaurant to anybody!
Very creative cuisine. Vegetarian meals can be boringly tofu-oriented. The chef at Blind Faith knows how to re-create gardein into something that really approximates chicken. The kung pao was great. The bim bop is consistently good. And Sydney, the waiter (and capital of Australia) is warm, personable and knowledgeable.
We always enjoy our visits to the Blind Faith Cafe. The food is excellent.
The prices are moderate. This time our server, Sid, was really good too.
My wife had some kind of different dish (with sweet potatoes and something
like meat, but it wasn't meat). I had Kamoosh, what I truly love at this
restaurant, nachos but different than nachos and very wonderful.
We will continue to go back.
Always warm service, great food and the best desserts! This place makes eating healthy effortless! But what makes Blind Faith really unique and a place I return to again and again is the staff--they make you feel at home and are excellent at what they do. Love this place!
Whilst we were waiting for our order to come, we witnessed the employee cleaning the table next to us by dipping the used linen napkin from the customer into the glass of water that was used by the customer that had just left and wiping down the table with that.
We were very grossed out and thought about leaving just as our food arrived,
The burrito was ok, served with dry tasteless pita chips, but the seitan sandwich was awful. The seitan was sparse and was smothered in a BBQ sauce with a few sliced cooked onions on a piece of bread. The sweet potato fries were soggy and tasteless.
The final straw was the bathroom which had two stalls, one occupied and one had the tank top which houses the water, placed onto the toilet seat, rain unknown.
Sorry I don't take photos of the terrible food and presentation., I couldn't wait took get out!!
It's great to have organic, vegetarian options when dining out!
The menu items that were good, were great (the tofu curry), seitan fajitas; but the items that were mediocre, were very bland (thai noodles, pesto noodles, black bean layered casserole).
The bakery is outstanding. You wouldn't know that the items are vegan, they are so delicious!
The salads looked amazing--can't wait to go back and try one. Hopefully I'll have lost a few pounds by then so I can have some more of their incredible chocolate cake!
We've been dining at Blind Faith for many years. It's clean, staff are friendly and efficient, the vegetarian menu is tasty, innovative, and provides many choices. I usually do not like vegan desserts but the peanut butter torte is outstanding enough that I may try some others!
BLIND FAITH always satisfies! The food is fresh, scrumptious and while all of the options are vegetarian, you always feel fully satisfied and your tastebuds are happy. I have been eating their food and desserts for years and although I have moved to California, the land of many wonderful restaurants, Blind Faith continues to be my favorite vegetarian restaurant. Whenever we travel through Chicago, we make it a point to spend the night in Evanston to visit friends and eat at Blind Faith. Always new entrees and consistent favorites. The Mongolian Stir-Fry is my go-to for tasty, spicy and yummy. The Jam Thumbprint cookies are my favorite secret indulgence.
Blind Faith was fantastic. Everything was great. We told our server that we were in a hurry (running late for a show) and we received our order in about 20 minutes. The food was delicious and fresh. Great ambiance as well. We will definitely return when in the area (we drove 40 minutes to get there, and it was worth the drive)
The Blind Faith has evolved from a 1970s vibe to a sophisticated ambiance, but one that remains warm, informal and welcoming. The menu accesses international fare (like the Moosewood Cookbook), and the results are reliably good. The booths are cozy while the big picture windows give an airy feeling. Street parking is usually available within a block. My favorite dishes are the ones with Gardein (a chicken stand-in), which can be bought as a side dish and used to top a salad. Still going and enjoying after all these years.
