Great vegan & vegetarian food! Best vegan cake I’ve ever had! Wonderful service!
Very nice host and waiter and water man etc!
Food was tasty and filling and fresh!
Enjoyed our experience and lunch very much !
as usual, another excellent meal at BFC - this time brunch
BEST restaurant in Evanston. Drove 3 hours, 1 way to have dinner here.
Food as good as ever. Service not up to the usual.
Superb. Delicious. Friendly. Good value. I love this place.
It's our go-to restaurant for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
Love that there are so many vegan options! Stellar food and decently priced for the quantity and quality. Also love the intentionality and mission of the restaurant!!!
The food is very good whether you are vegetarian or not. Definitely a place to go!
I've been going to Blind Faith for almost 30 years. Always fantastic. This past visit, there were some very good new things on the menu. I love the shiitake consommé. The new Azteca dish with poblano peppers is very good, but very spicy. Desserts: fabulous like always. Even my mother, a meat eater enjoyed it.
Excellent as always and accommodated our late arrival and need to eat quickly to make a theatre performance!
Excellent as always. A terrific lunch where this vegetarian and my carnivores all walked away full of good food.
Birthday celebration and surprised with delicious cupcake!
Fantastic time!!! Love everything about Blind Faith! The staff is so warm & welcoming!
Great service with delicious food. Will be going back!
Loved it! Great food!!
It’s always a great, comforting experience!
Food is always excellent at Blind Faith, including deserts!
I love Blind Faith. I have been going there ever since they opened many years ago as a cafeteria style restaurant in another Evanston location. Food has always been consistently good, wholesome, creative & vegetarian.
I am a regular at Blind Faith Café, which probably affects how great the service is (since they know me). However, I witness how great the servers are to other diners, as well. The food is great and the portions are big enough to provide another meal, via leftovers.
I love this place. If you want a excellent vegetarian meal! This is where to go!
We always enjoy the food and service at Blind faith. Our dinners are delightful.
I've been going to Blind Faith since it was a cafeteria down the street. It is my favorite restaurant. It has evolved into a special occasion place as it is more upscale and expensive now. The food is tremendous. The Valentines Day prefix meal was outstanding from the first to the last bite. The service was excellent as was the ambiance. Even the music was fantastic. It's a great place for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. Love Blind Faith!!
As a lifeline vegetarian, I've watched the Blind Faith evolve from its early days in the late 1970s till today. Under the guidance of David Lipschultz for four decades, the Blind Faith has gone from a modest coffee shop type of spot to an elegant, cozy, romantic dining experience. The menu features a combination of old-time vegetarian standards like Mexican fare, dinner salads and Asian seitan entrees, and seasonal specials like shitake walnut loaf and Gardein (faux chicken) pot pie.
Although I'm not usually a big soup eater, I cannot resist their shitake soup. The warm richness of the ginger-infused broth is intense and satisfying. I tend to toggle between the vegetarian and vegan fare, but there is plenty here for both tastes.
The biggest draw of this restaurant is the care given to creating a Zen environment. For example, the floor space of the main dining room is carpeted. I can't think of many restaurants that go to the trouble of vacuuming and cleaning a carpet daily, but the benefit is that the noise level is always low, even with a full house. The abundance of booth seating also cuts down on profits, but gives plenty of private nooks to couples and others for intimate conversations. Soft lighting and solicitous service makes this a great destination for dates, meetings and special events.
Blind Faith is absolutely one of our favorites. This was a birthday celebration. The food was outstanding, as always. We both had the Shiitake-Walnut Loaf with butternut puree, and the Berry Cobbler and Belgian Chocolate Pudding for dessert. Yummmm! The service is always attentive; this time it was exceptional because they knew we were celebrating a birthday. And prices can't be beat, especially given the quality of this food. Thank you, Blind Faith, for another wonderful meal!
I always love it here!!!!
We a\enjoyed a wonderful dinner last Saturday night at the Blind Faith Cafe. Jonathan was our server and he was terrific. His recommendations were spot on and he figured out right away that it was going to take us awhile to decide on our menu selections. We don't eat out very often and he respected the fact that we wanted to take our time to enjoy each course. The brussel sprouts and the French fries that we order as appetizers were great. I enjoyed my beet salad and my husband enjoyed his entree.
Thanks for a great evenbng
Food was very yummy! Atmosphere was chill. Right across the street from Space music venue. Our server was just slow and we felt like she kept forgetting about us. She was very nice just absent. We were going to order dessert but didn't have time. Super disappointed about that because being gluten free and vegan most restaurants don't have to many options for me. Blind Faith Cafe certainly did we just couldn't wait any longer. I will definitely eat here again next time I catch a show at Space.
Deliscious and healthy.
as always, BFC was terrific - food, service and ambiance. We celebrated a family birthday and our server brought over a cupcake with a lit candle for dessert, gratis. Thank you BFC!
Went here for the first time this past Saturday, the entire experience was fantastic. The service was great, our waitress suggested the Thai peanut noodles and the Mongolian stir fry, both were so so good. I wish we had been a bit hungrier so we could of tried some appetizers. We had fantastic lattes as well and brought home a piece of carrot cake which was incredible. We don’t live in Evanston but we can’t wait to come back!
Wonderful selection of vegan bakery items with some vegan, gluten free options too. Deleicious cakes; full cakes can be ordered for special occasions. Fairly extensive menu options. A longtime neighborhood gem.
Everything was perfect: service (John was terrific), food, beers, desserts, and possibly the best cappuccino I've ever drunk.
Happy Birthday to me 🎂!!!!
Blind Faith has been on my bucket list for a long time. We had 3 people in our party, we were celebrating my 46th birthday. I picked the perfect spot, my friends absolutely love it as well. It was our 1st time there and definitely not our last. My friends have never tried Seitan and they were blown away tha is wasn’t meat, excellent!!! Highly recommend everything, seriously though the flavors in every dish we tried were mind blowing. Service was excellent!!! Thank you so much for exceeding! Love KarmaGirl ♥️
First time there. Went for dinner. Onion tart and seitan fajitas fantastic!! Desserts great! Looking forward to going back again real soon ... and to try it for breakfast.
Love this place! Amazing food, great vibe, great people! No negatives as far as I can see. We love Blind Faith!
Excellent vegetarian dining, some of the best in Chicagoland
Blind Faith is a neighborhood gem. Looked all over for a place to eat that would satisfy a group of 7 including some vegetarians, some vegans, some no salt or oil, and some who just love to eat. Everyone left happy!
Blind Faith Café is a consistently wonderful experience. We had the Moroccan stirfry and the fajitas. The ingredients were fresh and delicious! The atmosphere is warm and charming. The waitstaff are friendly and very attentive. They have a delicious bakery connected to the restaurant and had to bring some goodies home after dinner. I would highly recommend Blind Faith Café to anyone seeking a delicious vegetarian experience.
