Great food and the 1/2 price apps from 5 to 6 were really good. Our server Christian was also very nice and knowledgeable.

My friends and I were very excited to try Blind Dog. The reviews we read were great, the menu looked great, and we had not been here before. Visually this is a very comfortable restaurant. Great lighting, hip atmosphere, comfy chairs/booths... would be great for a cozy winter special occasion. However, maybe it was an off night.... not really sure. But the waitress’ lack of interest or effort to even tell us about the specials immediately changed our minds about this place. She even asked US if we would be interested to even “hear” the description of the specials. The menu was also different than what was online so the dishes we wanted to try were not available. We decided instead of spending $35+/plate on something we didn’t really want, we would have a cocktail and their lobster bisque and then try another spot. Costco has better lobster bisque than this place. It was watery and very salty. I was so disappointed and I really wanted to like this place.

This restaurant has a very welcoming atmosphere. An Interesting menu with steaks, seafood and sushi and a rustic lodge like setting. The food overall was excellent and the steaks we had were outstanding. A reasonably priced selection of wines were available. Noteably, the floor manager came by to make sure we were having a good experience. Altogether, it was a very enjoyable evening.

We both had lobsters for dinner and a side of asparagus. For dessert, i had creme brulee and my husband had lunch sorbet. The asparagus was ok since it was overcooked. But the lobsters and both desserts were excellent. Service was great. We highly recommend this place.

Normally a Blind Dog fan. But had the Ribeye special and while OK, it was an average piece of meat. Then was stunned by a $68 charge.

So the review conclusion is if you want Steak then suggest go to a steakhouse that serves highest quality meat. Other entrees were good but more appropriately priced at around 1/3rd of the special!

To management, average meat at inflated price leads to loss of customer loyalty. I hope this was a one off.

We really wanted to like it. The reviews were widely positive. The eclectic mix of casual vibe and varied menu had appeal. We figured we had all the makings of a good meal. Not so. The owner bluntly values good food over good service. Be warned: It's written on their menu.

Positives: Our table was great, vibe cool, gracious host experience, amazing flavors.

Okay, now for the bummers. Mainly, our server just wasn't that into it. Never introduced himself, never offered to re-fresh my husband's drink, brought the wrong app, chided me for "changing my mind," lollygagged around his section engaging his co-workers as they bustled by, one even brushed him off, apparently pre-occupied with actual guest service. Our sushi sat visibly on the well for ten minutes and was only brought to us after a pile-up. Three rolls of amazing flavor combined with uncooked rice and one absent nigiri, which he actually said I never ordered, but "whatever, it takes like, 2 seconds," he said. The nigiri eventually arrived and was wholly delicious.

A lovely pair of ladies were seated to us. They were brusquely greeted by the same server and simultaneously abandoned as one made her query at his departing posterior, a breath too late for his liking. A bit taken aback, she caught my eye and we shared a look, like, "Really?? It's not busy enough to be rude."

Takeaway: I think maybe great flavor and poor, pompous service is their schtick. Again, The menu bears a clever disclaimer that I fully appreciated until we realized they are SERIOUS. Even the bill was wrong. When I slipped my $100 note into the pocket, the amount due read $75. When I took my change, it now read $83, the difference of one unagi nigiri. No acknowledgement. We left him $10 for his trouble and vow to dine elsewhere. 3 stars. Not a disaster, unless you consider that We won't be back. Blind Dog can enjoy our $100 while we enjoy their competition.

Missed the happy hour that they are known for, so took advantage of their summer special two-for-one entrees. The crab cakes were just okay nothing special for $33 and the seafood stew clams mussels shrimp and scallops had to be returned since all the mussels were overcooked and chewy, they did bring back scallops in place of the mussels and they were fantastic. Even though we did have a problem they took care of it promptly.

We went here for my wife's birthday and I put a note on my open table app just asking for them to give a little extra attention or just acknowledge it was her birthday and they responded by giving us one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had. My wife ordered the 45 dollar steak and asked for it to be cooked medium plus. When it came out it was what I can only describe as a folded over piece of burnt dog food. It was disgusting. Totally overcooked, the side which my wife had asked to sub the potatoes for some Parmesan rosemary tater tots (due to a gluten allergy) they brought out just basic tater tots, when we asked for that to be fixed they took it back to the kitchen and they just threw Parmesan over the top and didn't even bother to melt the cheese or anything. They told us the steak wasn't overcooked...."that's how they cook a medium plus". Trust me, I worked in the restaurant business for a good portion of time and when there is no visible sign of pink in the middle and it's so overcooked it's grey...it's not even well done. It's dog food. Heck, I don't even know if I would have fed that to a dog. The attempt to fix the steak was charcoal on the outside and purple in the middle, at this point everyone else at the table had eaten, all of us being very disappointed with our food as well, my wife was super upset and when I let them know very nicely that we didn't want to take the time of having a 3rd steak cooked since they couldn't seem to figure out how to correctly cook it. Our server told us that we could go on-line and sign up for the VIP club and we would get the cheeseburger that I had ordered for free. I told him that I appreciated what he was trying to do but that I wasn't gonna pay for a steak that was absolutely horrible. The manager came over and was very abrupt and defensive at first and after we explained the situation and everything that had gone wrong (every dish ordered other then my sons dish, had a major problem) she was better.

I was disappointed in our meal. I had the crab cake entree which arrived with nothing except a sauce very similar to a chunky tartar sauce. Paying $33 for a two crab cake entree, I expected excellence but instead crab cakes were soggy, not crisp and not very interesting. We ordered a brussel sprout side for the table for $10 and the tiny serving was only enough for one.
