Eclectic menu with some interesting choices. Wine by the glass offered mediocre choices. Service was disappointing possibly because we were not big drinkers.
Our experience was VERY disappointing! We ordered the spicy Thai shrimp and was told it had a kick. The shrimp was all burnt and the sauce was just garlic and cilantro, no spice. It was sent back. When I received my albacore tuna cooked rare, the entire dish was cold and not edible so it was sent back. When I received my new dish it was hot, but the fish was cooked all the way through. My husband’s short ribs were hot but he rest of the dish was cold. The crab cake was good. We received a free dessert. The restaurant was crowded, so we expected slow service, but we couldn’t even get a second drink or get our water filled. We won’t be going back.
Come here every year for annual ski trip and birthday celebration. This time was a real disappointment as the service was very slow and their menu has shifted to the Asian flavors and our traditional meals were not as flavorful as they have been in the past.
I am a frequent patron of "Blind Dog" and always love it. They consistently have one of the best steaks in Park City (the rib-eye) and very good sushi. Definitely worth the visit!
Can't recommend Blind Dog highly enough. Eclectic blend of cuisines, but everything was spectacular. The only criticism is a number of the entrees came to the table well behind the rest. The server warned us that might be the case, but it was still surprising that some of our group was almost finished with their meal before everyone was served.
First time here and it was excellent. I had the short rib special, and it was amazing. The presentation was superb, meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender. It was served over asparagus that was perfectly cooked and yummy mashed potatoes. Two in our party had the Shellfish Pan Roast with mussels, shrimp, clams, scallops in a heavenly broth with grilled baguettes for dipping - they both licked their plate. The other two had salmon and said it was the best they'd ever tasted. Service was exceptional and our hostess and our waiter were fun and funny - adding to our enjoyment of the evening. We all shared a Bananas Foster bread pudding dish that was out of this world. Highly recommend!
Hostess I believe it was Kate was outstanding , service was good and variety of foods great
This was my second visit to the Blind Dog. The food was very tasty and prepared well. My overall rating had to do with my coffee. I ordered regular black coffee which looked a little thin compared to my husband's decaf. It tasted average, but given the high quality of this restaurant, I expected more. Also, the table service degraded as the meal went on: orders came at random times and the water refills eventually stopped even though we had not even had dessert. Overall, I will rethink returning to this restaurant.
Love the Blind Dog, however I ordered the jumbo lump crab cakes and was very disappointed. I had been told that yours were very good. We are from Maryland and therefore have a high standard for these. Yours had a lot of filler and not a lot of jumbo lump meat. I will return but will never order these again
Great for everyone . Even the vegans in our group
Food and Service were both excellent. We were greeted with a smile and it continued throughout dinner service. Sushi was excellent, as we the main menu. I would highly recommend the Blind Dog to anyone looking to dine in the Deer Valley/Park City area.
Really great food, fun tasty and inventive. Huge menu...
Excellent steak and short ribs. Beet and kale salad was very good. Good service.
We've dined at Blind Dog many times over the last 10 years. We love it! Great food and usually great service. Sunday night was a bit of a let down. Maybe our server was a bit overwhelmed. Not sure what happened, but he was inattentive. Lots of waiting. This won't deter us! We still love Blind Dog and actually plan to take 8 guys there next week!
Great food. Lots of variety & all is expertly made. Well worth the effort to go and the cost. They also make really good cocktails (considering Utah’s archaic liqueur laws
Great food. Main hostess was difficult to deal with and service was mediocre. Food was very good as always. Yes
The sushi was pretty gross.
Great environment and service. Laid back, but still nice. Good food.
I had sashimi. It was outstanding -- fresh, flavorful, melt-in-your mouth. Beautiful presentation too!
The food was average, not exceptional. Service was awful, probably one of the worst. Our table was right across the entry, with lots of traffic. There were plenty other tables available, however, when we asked for a bit more private place, we’ve got refused. Things got worse quickly. The cold air from outside would blow straight to that table. 20 min, still no food, frozen and hungry, we asked if anything could be done with that cold air, and again, nothing. Expensive but mediocre food, inconsiderate staff, poor service. We’ll never return, and definitely wouldn’t recommend this place.
Menu looks good until you get to the part where the chef says there is to be no changes to the entrees. Imagine this with all the dietary concerns these days. Message is harsh and rude- total turn off.
Everything about our evening at the Bling Dog was exceptional! The ambiance, the service and the food were fantastic.
Every time we come to Park City, our first dinner out is always at Blind Dog. We love the sushi there, and always sit at the sushi bar. Mike is our favorite sushi master, and we absolutely love everything he prepares for us! We don’t even look at the menu anymore! Absolutely go there!!
We went for sushi. The roll was not tasty, skimpy on the sauce and it fell apart. The tuna appetizer was good but I will not go back.
Our waiter was awesome, one of the best we have ever had
We had the sushi it was ok very bland not much flavor with the specialty rolls. Also not once was our sparking water poured for us. After finishing our fits drink we were not asked if we wanted another.
The service started out to be very slow and disappointing but by the time the meal was finished we overlooked any negative service because the food was outstanding. By far the best dinner at Park city!!
The sushi was like super market sushi super basic as well the presentation. The drink was terrible. I follow them in instagram but was not the same
The Blind Dog has exceptional décor which is warm and inviting. The food, truly outstanding in every respect. Chef's menu selections has something for all demanding tastes. One of the changes I would like to see made is OFFERING bread with the salad course. I expected it especially with a small plate to my upper left and nothing to use it for. Another change would be is to SLOW THE COURSES. My wife and I were out the door in less than an hour after dropping $150. When on vacation I don't like to be rushed.
Great variety of food
I recommend we eat at Blind Dog as I had eaten there in the past and had a good experience. Unfortunately, my experience this time was not good. We had a large black hair in our mac and cheese. While the waiter took it off our bill, he never asked if we wanted a new one. Everyone in my dinner party found this odd. Additionally, the waiter wasn't attentive. I had to get up and get silverware from a vacant table and he never brought what we asked for... more water, more grav, etc. Finally, one of the meals came out cold. I am not a complainer but I found this experience really awful and thought it should be known to potential customers. I was also embarrassed as I was the one who recommended Blind Dog to my dinner party.
We had a group of friends visiting and wanted to take them to a good spot off Main St. Blind Dog is usually our go to, but this time....
Arrived on time for our reservation, and seated right away. Waiter did a decent job, but his back up sucked. Seems there was a mild celebrity in the other room and there was not a busser with a clue in ours. Seemed kinda high as the busboy would start to clear a table then get distracted. Worse for the restaurant than us as they had empty tables sitting on a busy Saturday night. Our food came out and mostly pretty good. The appetizers were served followed by entrees without anyone clearing the table. The wine was not refilled, and haphazard clearing of the table but still leaving an empty wine bottle and a few plates. Food pretty good: favorites were the steak special with a crab cake on top, and the appetizer sushi and cauliflower bake were good. Mahi with gumbolaya was a miss, but not like anyone asked us how things were.
In all fairness, BD is usually consistent. But this night, not so great.
Delicious food, artfully presented
Specialty foods were great such as burrata and Philly cheese steak egg roll. Restaurant is loud.
Our waiter and the food were great, but waiting for that food was too long and the noise level was very high so it was hard to hear.
Outstanding menu. Tremendous atmosphere. Very outstanding restaurant. A can't miss place in Park City, Utah.
Used to be better
Food and especially service has declined
Awesome, unpretentious, great service and food. We ate here three times during a week’s vacation.
Always visit here when in park city!!!
