Ashley is great and so is the food! Great value also.
Lindsey was an awesome sever. Food was great
Definitely recommend it
House margaritas were nice. Guacamole was fantastic. Had the beef taco plate with corn. The corn was perfectly seasoned. However, no salsa was served to accompany the tacos. Not sure if salsa is included because chips and salsa is ala carte. We dined while things were slow and quiet for an early Saturday dinner. Will definitely stop in again during a ball game. Great place for a quick bite before or after a game but would expect the noise level to be tremendous.
Just got into town looking for some lite fair and drinks, this place checked the boxes. Able to make happy hour great Margaritas and fish tacos. Then they continued with specials from 6-10 More tacos and drinks!! Grilled fish, shrimp, salmon, and al pastor tacos were the Awesome
Just had to wait nearly 40mins for main meal due to large party before us , with kids not great
The food was disappointing. For a Mexican restaurant in Cali, you’d expect top notch tacos, but these were just so-so.
Great place to eat but not visit. Our party of six had to leave to talk. But the food was excellent
Love this place! every time I visit SD I have to have a dinner here.
The food was amazing, as was the service. I have a feeling that we will go back before our week here is over.
The grilled fish tacos were outrageously good. The chips were in abundance. I ate too many.
The service was attentive and the food very fresh! Had an awesome experience!
Good food and excellent drinks. Atmosphere needs a bit of work. It’s too much like a sports bar at present. Weird in a place aspiring to be a quality Baja-cuisine restaurant. Also there was a very off-putting smell of cleaning product coming off the grill which filled the restaurant.
Our waitress was awesome and the food was delicious! I just wish the drinks were less expensive considering they were $12 for a mostly ice margarita. Though I would say it was delicious!
Enjoyed our dinner but were not blown away, although price was right. Music was too loud so made conversation difficult.
Blind Burro came highly recommended but I feel like maybe we came on an off night? It was Taco Tuesday so perhaps all the specials offered came with the substandard ingredients and service...? I don’t know but I really can’t say I’ll be rushing back there anytime soon.
The food and drinks were just not to the caliber of what I had heard described...with the exception of the street corn which was fanfriggintabulous and the only thing we had that wasn’t on special for taco Tuesday LOL! But seriously, why would they change the ingredients, preparation and portion size just for one day? I mean, that’s no way to inspire customers to return.
The service was also not up to par. Our server was nice enough but he seemed to often disappear and also kept forgetting stuff we asked for. So, there ya go.
It was great for our large group of 16
The waiter was a little slow; at the same time I understood that she was busy because she was the only server but if there is only 3 tables ahead of us to give us 10 minuets to give my table one beer Ill get a little annoyed. At the same time the food was so worth it, I just hope next time the management doesn’t have one server for brunch time.
The chips were a little over fried but I really liked the salsa. Delicious grilled chicken in the tacos I ordered. Loved the skinny margarita drinks!
Service was impeccable! Great atmosphere and reasonably priced dishes. The food was a little more upscale than what I was expecting and personally prefer more traditional Mexican cuisine.
Service after my reservation went very smooth, we sat in a secluded booth & had a wonderful time, the tacos were second 2 none as the corn tortillas were homemade & really fresh.
This was the first stop for my cousins bachelorette party and everyone had an amazing time! The food was delicious and the drinks were great!
Wasn’t super crowded and we had a nice table in an area to ourselves. Food and drinks were great! Our waitress was good and hands on when we needed service.
Baja Tuesday is the best! I will be back! The bottomless margarita option was so fun!
Good place to stop before baseball game due to proximity. Nachos are good but otherwise overall it is mediocre Mexican food.
Nothing special about the place, however the service was exceptional!
We were early, as we had a show at a local venue to attend. Our server was also the bartender and was not able to be as attentive as he should have. Food was ok, although the carne asada and short rib taco meat was very gristly and we ended up able to chew through only about half of it. The guac and plantain chips were good, as were the margaritas. The prices seemed high for the value delivered.
What a treat finding this place was! I had Carne tacos and she had Shrimp Tacos and we shared one of each. Carne was flavorful and tender. Shrimp was char grilled and delicious. Although they charge for chips and salsa both were fresh and homemade not store bought. Hope to come back soon.
Not bad, just average. Service the same.
I had a great dinner at Blind Burro. Their margaritas are delicious - although the house marg starts at $10, it is a great drink made of good ingredients and worth the price. The chips were still warm when served at the table and definitely a few steps up in quality from typical table side chips. I had the al pastor tacos which were well seasoned and the toppings nicely complemented the meat. The only part of the meal that I think could be improved was the street corn side. Something about the cheese came across as dry on my tongue.
All in, it was a delightful meal with great service; so good that I almost went back for brunch the next day. I will certainly return when next in San Diego.
Foods not that impressive. Prices are pretty high for why you get. It’s kinda like a over priced chipotle..
Really good food and atmosphere. Was kinda surprised that you have to buy chips and salsa. Free at most any Mexican restaurant in TX!
Chips, salsa, queso were solid. Sweet corn was very good, but the surf and turf tacos were really bad. The short rib which is typically a tender piece of meat was chewy and not edible..seemed more like a skirt steak. Lobster was not great either.
Everything was excellent. Will definitely try this place again
I love Blind Burro, their steak and egg tacos are to die. I think Blind Burro expects too much from their servers, this Sunday they had a food runner, a waitress and a bartender for the entire restaurant. They were swamped and I felt bad for the servers because their quality of service probably went down a bit. The football games are way too loud on Sunday mornings, I could tell no one was paying attention to the games, maybe turn it down a bit.
Say right away. Server was great. I got there and my friends were 30 minutes late. Never felt rushed and the server checking in appropriately throughout. Excellent food as always.
Very loud, high energy kind of place. I'm sure it was busier than normal because of an event at the stadium next door. While the house margaritas tasted great with the muddled jalepeño, the glass was packed full with ice, leaving little room for the margarita itself, and making them a pretty terrible value. Modern Mexican isn't usually my thing, but I thought the food was good. Our waitress was friendly, though it was hard to get her attention at times as the place was pretty packed. If I were to do it over, I'd probably order beer and go when it's not as busy. I'm sure I'd have felt it was a better value and enjoyed an overall better experience.
Very good server, food was tasty (guacamole, salmon and swordfish tacos), but some stuff was quite spicy. Corn side with the fish was too hot for me to eat. Rice was tasty, salsa was really spicy.
Server was super busy but she kept things moving and didn’t forget about us.
Overall a solid place with good, not fancy food.
Delicious and plentiful portions on food, great service, and nice, casual atmosphere!
Great downtown location for some superb Baja Mex food! As it was a weekday lunch, we got seated no problem and our wait staff, Mel, was ultra friendly with just the right smile and service!
My three out of town guests were delighted and wished it was margarita time.
The Surf and Turf tacos were munchaliscious!
Definitely coming back soon!
I really liked the ceviche. The menu was great because you could find healthy options (skinny margarita) or giant burritos! Our server was nice and customized my drink to make it extra spicy. Everything came out pretty quickly. There are only churros for dessert though, it would be nice if a few more options were added.
