Host, server, manager, all were very friendly and attentive. Fun cool vibe, it was perfect for dinner out with my friend. Duck tacos were amazing!
Discovered the Blind Burro 5 years ago on a business trip and it’s a must go to every time I’m in San Diego!
The shrimp and chicken tacos were fabulous. Great margaritas and delicious chips, salsa and guacamole. I especially loved the elote—corn off the cob. The service was great! Just a bit loud for the 7 of us wanting to decompress after a 3 day conference. Overall, we’d still go back in a heartbeat!
Really loud inside, the food was OK, I wouldn’t recommend the wings, the steak salad or the burro-burrito. The server was friendly but was not upfront about additions (I asked for some romaine lettuce for the burrito and then the charge for the amount of lettuce seemed exorbitant). I’d look elsewhere for better food and dining experiences.
Had an absolutely great time!! Best food! Loved everything.
Love coming to Blind Burro! Their street corn and al pastor tacos are delicious!! We will definitely be back!
Barely anyone there on a Friday night and the server was not attentive at all.
Great tasting food. Service impeccable. Great spot for a nice lunch
Love the Blind Burro! The margaritas are fantastic, as are the house made chips and entrees. We will definitely be back!
Nothing special in any way. For a city full of great Mexican fare, this was not something I would recommend.
Blind Burro is great for happy hour and meeting up with friends. Recommended for these activities, the food could be a little more authentic. Gaslamp location allows many visitors with good seating.
The food was amazing! I’ll definitely be back.
Great tacos. Love the diverse flavors on the menu.
Really great service. The food presentation was really cool and unique. Will be back.
We had an early meal so the restaurant was fairly quiet; after a leisurely meal and more guests arriving, it was still very easy to have a good conversation with my friend over dinner. I love carne asada, and the carne tacos at Blind Burro were delicious...tender, well-seasoned meat in tasty corn tortillas. Pinto beans were a great side for this meal. And the churros...hot, fresh, with a vanilla sauce. I would definitely go back to the Blind Burro!
Excellent food! Cool waiter. Too loud for easy talking. Good margaritas.
Excellent service, bold flavors, nice ambiance and it bit higher in pr6due to area
Despite there being a conference nearby, I was able to easily get a reservation day of and snag a great table right up front. My colleague and I had ample selections to choose from on the menu and were both satisfied with our Baja style tacos. My house margarita on the rocks was a perfect companion as well.
Great, open air restaurant with a sports bar feel. A group of 5 colleagues gathered recently to watch Game 7 of 2019 World Series. Great food and service.
Only recommendation is to offer a margarita without Triplesec (replace completely with Gran Marnier or Cointreau). Any high end marg should not have Triplesec, IMO.
The food came out quick and was super yummy!
The atmosphere is deceiving: local sports bar in summary. Then the food comes out and it’s much more upscale than you’d expect. Great menu with something for everyone.
Food was pretty good. Server had a bit of an attitude. He was obviously overwhelmed and did lots of loud sighing which is just unprofessional. Had to be asked several times to bring things. Food was pretty good but not worth the wait or grouchy service. Rather spend the money where business is wanted.
We sat at the bar that had the stools outside and we had a great night!
Food is top notch. It can be a little busy and service wasn't very attentive. Prices are a little high, esp for things like chips and salsa ($3) and side order of guacamole ($11), but they were delicious.
Discovered this during SD Restaurant Week. It was a gem of a find and would come back again. Loved the ceviche, tacos al pastor, and churros. Our server was nice and friendly as well!
Service was great. Food was a little different and sides were boring (dry fried potato slices).
Their street corn is to die for! Tacos and burritos are also very tasty!
Waiter was very friendly! I liked that he made suggestions and told us the best items to order. The short rib tacos were AMAZING!!!! We ate outside which was fun. Would definitely go back. I wish we had discovered this place at the beginning of our trip!
Average meal at a reasonable price. Service was adequate but slow. The atmosphere was a bit noisy not easy to have a conversation.
Food and drinks were great.
Our waiter was pretty rude, but that’s it!!
Terrific food, huge portions. We ordered chips and salsa and queso before entrees. Then we were shocked by the huge size of the burrito and machete quesadilla we ordered. If you are visiting Gaslamp and don’t have a microwave or fridge in your room, skip appetizers because you will not be able to finish the entrees. So delicious. Great selection of unique Mexican food.
We were about 15 mins early for our reservation but were seated immediately. We asked our server what his favorite appetizer & entrees are and took his suggestions. Chips & Salsa, Chicken Tingas Enchiladas & the Skirt Steak (I added a skewer if cilantro lime shrimp) did not disappoint!!! The portion sizes are large & the service was outstanding. We will definitely be visiting here again.
Good Blind Burro experience. Beware the food is pretty hot. Intolerable for anybody that doesn’t live in the west. Before a Padres game it’s loud - and crowded. Great service, wait staff works hard
The street corn off the cob was really tasty. It was disappointing that there was a charge for the chips and salsa. The biggest disappointment were the chips. They were very inconsistent - some were good, but many were chewy, soft, and/or greasy.
Convenient location for "before game" dinner. The location is walking distance, and the food was excellent. The corn salad is an excellent side. I would go back for sure!
Service was great, food and ambiance made for a great evening hosting my friends from China. Definitely will go back.
Had the shrimp and ahi tacos. Both flavorful and well put together. Street corn and salsa are great. Staff was friendly and attentive.
Nice place to eat for lunch in the Gaslamp district of San Diego.
