Great spot and wonderful shrimp tacos!!
Ehh! Nothing special! Bit overpriced for the food that was served and nothing tasted extra. It was just ok, would try something else.
Ate an early Friday lunch while attending a nearby national convention. It was early and as such nearly empty. An expansive space with a great bar. My only criticism is that NO dark, brown, or red ales were on offer. This is NOT unique to this restaurant. Unfortunately, for me, I am living in an I.P.A. world! Having lived in England and being in and out of the U.K. and Ireland for my entire adult life, I cannot ‘lower’ myself to drink straw colored ‘beers’!
Service was great and the food was delicious.
Tacos were delicious and the service was great! The chips were a little too thick for my liking but thats just me!
The dip served with calamari elevated this appetizer. The enchiladas we outstanding! I was shocked how well carrots and black beans go together! My husband had lobster tacos with poblano rice and was pleased.
Making the reservation via Open Table was flawless. Walked up at the reservation time and they had the table ready for us even though it was quite busy due to baseball game.
Service was really good and food came out pretty fast.
Chips and salsa were awesome. Everyone at the table had tacos. I thought the fillings were good but felt that the tortillas could have been cooked more. Overall though, I'd go back.
It's close the stadium and the outside seating was good.
Food was amazing. Great atmosphere!! Would recommend
Atmosphere had potential, but overall it was okay. Food was ok, not great not bad, average for the price. You have to pay for chips and salsa. They add a 4% charge to your bill for the hardships they have had (haven’t we all had them). Probably won’t be going back next time in the San Diego area.
Brunch intermittently available, but lunch/dinner menu is awesome.
Very expensive tacos.
Just not worth it. Food wasn’t tasty. Didn’t touch my veggie tacos. One bite and didn’t care for it. Server didn’t notice apparently and didn’t check in soon enough after getting our food so I couldn’t swap it for anything else. We sat down at 5:05 and a waiter came up finally at 5:18. Overall not a memorable spot.
Had a great dinner. Excellent pomegranate margaritas!
Great tacos, friendly staff, and great drinks! I come here every time I am in San Diego and it never disappoints. Some of our favs are the lobster, fish and short rib tacos. The churros are always amazing.
We didn't try too many items but the Chicken, Grilled Fish and Al Pastor tacos were all very good. The Calamari was nothing special. The guacamole was a generous portion but could have used some more seasoning. The salsa was decent but lacked any distinctive character. The service was very good. Nice outdoor seating area.
If you're in that zone and you're craving a taco it is worth the stop, it is not Puesto but it is pretty good.
Lobster tacos n there corn ,where do delicious 😋
Wish they would bring back the tongue taco.
Don’t go here on a game day if you’re not in town to watch the game. We came here on a Friday night when there was a Padres game happening and were quite surprised to find the entire restaurant blasting the Padres game on every TV & speaker VERY loudly. This is not a sports bar (and definitely isn’t priced as one), and we were in town for a bachelorette, plus a couple of us had been there previously and that was not at all the vibe, so it was a disappointing experience overall. It’s one thing to have the game on the TVs at the bars (realistically only one bar needed to have it on, it was maybe at 20% capacity overall), but to have it literally blasting throughout the entire restaurant was extremely excessive. We definitely would never go here on a game day ever again and wish we’d had any idea it would be that way prior to booking our reservation, since we would have booked something different had we known. Such a bumm
Great food. Street corn is amazing!
My entre was under cooked. It was much better after I took it home and browned the corn tortilla
Food was not good
First time here and had an issue with the small amount of margarita you get for the price of $13 and $16. You got maybe 8 ounces and if I’m paying that much, it needs to be more than that. The tacos de pollo and carne asada tacos were very good along with both beans.
The food and drinks were so good, came here for a birthday dinner.
Started with the Traditional Guacamole, Clase Azul, Burro Cadillac Margarita, then the Cilantro-Lime Shrimp and Surf & Turf Tacos. The Guacamole was chunky and tasty, the Chips were thick, crunchy and could hold up to the Guacamole. Tacos were very good and Lexi was GREAT. I never ran out of water.
The food was delicious. I ordered the grilled fish tacos. They were amazing! My son ordered the carne asada tacos and the meat was delicious. Will definitely go back.
Food wasn’t good. Service was ok
Perfect spot for Padres game dining…the food was delicious…especially the shrimp tacos and the queso! They will also customize for kids-one child with us wanted just nacho chips with cheese and it was no problem.
Always a great meal at Blind Burro. Favorite place to hang out before a Padre game. Good eats, good drinks, and within walking distance. We’ve never been disappointed!
Great food and spicy like I love! Huge portion of guacamole and chips. Our server was great and it was a relaxing experience. Will be back.
Great food and service! Loved it
Food was very salty. Very oily.
Service was slow even though there were very few people there.
Great sports bar atmosphere, but food is an aside not a reason to go.
Great food and service. The location is right near Petco Park home to the San Diego Padres.
Great food service and the drinks were made very well. Price was on target. We sat outside but the nose was just fine. Waitress was attentive and food came out hot and quickly definitely recommended and will visit again.
I went with a group of 6 & everyone liked the Blind Burro. We all ordered tacos. I had the Surf & Turf!
A good place to stop for a drink pre Padres game but not the place for great Mexican food. The service was very slow. The cocktails were not good. Won’t be going back.
Service for food and drinks was very slow and restaurant was not busy. (3 pm)
Limited menu for the ballgame. Food was pricey and not tasty. We ordered the stuffed jalapeños and they came on a metal skewer and all the filling leaked out on the plate. The corn was not flavorful. Drink specials were expensive. Server not friendly. I understand they have staffing issues which is why brunch was not offered and our reservation was bumped to 11:30 but still there are a lot of options in the area so they won’t be getting my business again.
The tacos were fabulous! Service great! We will be back!
You go here for the ambiance of being in downtown San Diego and nothing else. The food is OK - nothing special although very large portions. The cocktails were all watered down and horrible so stay with beer/wine.
Very good steak and egg tacos. Just a bit too greasy for my preference but taste was delicious!
