Bleu Sushi Ratings and Reviews
We were seated right away, which is great. The waiter took our order and allowed us to leave to go get alcohol. All of the servers were attentive. However, the one thing that left us perturbed was how they rushed us and others. It’s such a small establishment so they ran out of space fast. As a result, they didn’t tell us to leave but you could definitely tell they were trying to get us and the people next to us out of there.
I’ve been here several times and it’s always been a great time. Staff is super friendly and the food comes out quickly.
As a picky eater who was originally afraid of eating sushi, everything is very descriptive and it’s not an intimidating environment to try!
I originally called to let the establishment know I was running late, which was my fault but the lady who picked up the phone was extremely rude with me like If I was being a inconvenience to her by calling.
Once we got there we waited at least ten minutes before our server even came to ask if we’ve been helped.
A truly wonderful experience! The sushi was delicious and beautifully presented! We were there for lunch which was a true bargain. We started with edamame and some dumplings - very good! My daughters each had the sushi roll combo, my husband had the Udon noodle lunch, and I had the shrimp tempura lunch. So, we had a fairly wide selection of food from the menu - everything was fresh, delicious, and presented like works of art. They may serve the best miso soup I’ve ever had. On top of that, the owner personally came over and chatted with us. I will definitely go back and would highly recommend.
Very tight dining quarters. Other diners were loud, it was hard to hear my friends. Even though my friend asked if our food plate to be separated it wasn't and we had to figure out what belonged to who. The waitress lied about how many rolls came with certain rolls so we were confused thinking we were missing food. And when the waitress came over to explain which roll was which they talked directly over the sushi rolls.
Bleu Sushi was a great find. This little neighborhood gem was not only inexpensive compared to other sushi restaurants in the area, but the quality of the seafood was great. Even better, the fact that the restaurant is BYOB allowed us to spend more on sushi and less on wine. We will definitely be returning soon!
The best sushi I've ever had. I've had sushi up and down the East Coast, and who would have thought that a small hole-in-the-wall sushi place in Center City Philly would have the absolute best sushi. We had the chance to sit at the sushi bar for dinner and got to meet the sushi chefs. All of the staff were hospitable and kind. Our favorite rolls were the Drexel Roll and Rainbow Roll. We've already made our reservations for the next time we're in Philly. We can't wait to go back!
I can't say enough good things about this place. Its unique, its fast paced with the most kind hearted staff I've ever encountered. The food is phenomenal, fresh and vibrant. We sat at the bar as just watched in awe as the chefs prepared endless beautiful creations. Go and eat and yoh will not be disappointed!
I love bleu and go there all the time for dates and friend get togethers. The food is outstanding and ambiance is good. Their specialty rolls are TO DIE FOR - especially the Villanova and the Arcg. At busy times service can be slow, but other than that an awesome BYOB sushi option in the city.
I usually dont write reviews for restaurants, but this sushi place exceeded my expectations!!!! I am a sushi enthusiast and have been to upscale sushi restaurants all over the world such as Nobu, Buddha Bar, etc. But this place is something else! U get a superior quality of freshness and their prices are beyond affordable! The reztairant is nice, small and cozy with blue dim lighting which is perfect for dinner for 2 or a get togethet with friends. The owner came out while we were having dinner( we came by at 5 p.m so the place just started getting busy) and greeted us and talked to us about the concept of fhe restaurant. At the end of the dinner he sent us a complimentary dish tastings which was delicious! We loved it so much we went there 2 nights in the row! The only con is that they dont sell alcohol, but you can bring your own. The staff is super attentive and polite. This place ia absolutely great for lunches and dinners! I will be definately going back and reccomending that restaurant to others!
