Yummy brunch but the serving sizes are a little small. Excellent Bloody Mary’s though!!!
On vacation in Memphis and decided to stop in this restaurant at the last minute for lunch. There were 4 of us. Food was very good, I had the "Cubano" sandwich (not sure that is what they called it). It was the best one I have ever had. Thought it was unusual that it was not served with mustard as most are, it didn't need it. Sandwich was moist and succulent. All in the party were quite pleased. Excellent service as well.
The service was nice, and we had a nice bottle of wine, but neither of us were blown away by the meal. We opted for the less fussy bleu burger and fish sandwich, but neither were really anything spectacular. The chef came to speak to us and was very kind, and our waiter was very attentive. I would consider going back to try something else.
While it is a convenient location and a nice setup, its ambiance and food and drink options do not align with its price point. The cocktail list has mid-quality drinks at top-shelf prices. Host and servers are quick and helpful. Food arrives rather quickly.
They serve an herb-olive oil bread dip, which is delicious, but accompanies sweet dinner rolls and hard breadsticks, defeating the flavor profile.
The menu choices are lacking in diversity and are at the same price point of much higher-end restaurants with better food and better environments. The food was so-so.
It wasn't bad enough to complain, but not good enough to go back.
Everything was excellent! I enjoyed the salmon stir fry.
I had the Mahi sandwich and the fish tasted bad. I only took a couple bites and pushed it to the side. The sweet potatoes fries arrived to the table cold. I mentioned this to our server and she just replied, "Mahi is a fishy tasting fish". She then just brought us our check and offered no apologies. I have worked as a Service Manager , Private Dining Director, and Outside Sales Professional for a few well known restaurants, so I can easily identify bad fish. Nothing was offered as a substitute. I felt that my concern was ignored and that we were not valued as guest. We chose this restaurant to celebrate my sons birthday, because we saw the Chef on Chopped and thought it would be a great experience to dine there. Not the case! Very disappointed!
Well it was Friday night and my hubby and I had a sitter - (yay!) I booked reservations via OpenTable just in case the restaurant was busy after all is was Friday night!
After confirming the time on OpenTable- I immediately told hubby we're all set - Arriving at Bleu Westin Hotel - (ok so for those that do not know that Bleu restaurant is located inside the Westin Hotel)
We pulled into valet and received a valet ticket then entered the hotel -- the valet said to get the ticket stamped from the waitress or hostess after we're done dining--and walked inside to the restaurant- we we're greeted by a very sweet hostess and we then informed her of our reservation- she asked for our seating preferences
After we selected a table she asked what beverages would we like - water with lemon is what we selected and water was promptly sent over
Shortly after a waitress I believe her name is spelled Siedah - she was sweet and she asked if we needed more time to order - I was locked on I what I wanted to order •Salmon- she asked how I'd like my salmon prepared- My hubby ordered a seafood pasta dish
My hubby and I had conversation for about 15 minutes and the entrees were served - my eyes were happy at what I was looking at - and my tastebuds following in that pursuit- (happy foodie)
For a date night the ambiance was romantically filled •low lights •intimate table seating •low playing music •low level restaurant goers conversation •savory food •complimentary valet
The hostess, manager and waitstaff were phenomenal. We had such a great time!!!
Service was good, but should have been since we were about only ones in there (early reservation before Orpheum show). Food was underwhelming; especially for price. I got the short ribs and they were fairly tough and lacked flavor. Wife got salmon and said it was good. Grilled asparagus were thick, chewy and disappointing to someone who loves asparagus.
I will say the bar looked like it would have been a fun place to hang out for cocktails, and my Manhattan was made perfectly (I know sounds easy, but you'd be surprised how few restaurants actually make a good one).
It wasn't a terrible experience, but I don't see me going back there for dinner with other options downtown I like more and feel are better value. But I might go for cocktails.
Felt a little “on display” with the smaller table/2 seating options - probably better for four - six dining unless you can take over a booth in the back intended for larger groups. The food was excellent but the service felt a little spastic and frequent.
There were so many people involved in serving us I don’t remember our servers name.
The food was delicious and fairly priced for what you get. There were several things on the menu I wanted to try and will definitely be back to dine again.
We had a reservation for 6:45 pm and we were seated right away with no problems. However it seemed like we were forgotten because we sat there for over 25 minutes without anyone greeting us or even offering us water, or a drink menu.
What made it worse was that other people coming in after us were getting service and even ordered their food.
It wasn't until I flagged someone and told them and this person did not even apologize .
The food was ok but I was very disappointed with the service. Sadly a 20 % tip was already included, otherwise I was not going to Tip
Nice restaurant a little under staffed. Good value and good food
Very good food and great staff!!
Decree was our server. He went out of his way to make it an excellent dining experience. Kudos to him for sure. Food highlights: burger sliders very tasty, mahi sandwich tender and flavorful, huge pork chop was moist and tender. Compared to our last experience before a Tiger game last year, good and service markedly upgraded. Keep it up!
I haven't been to this restaurant in 10 months and I was sorely disappointed. The service was terrible in the dining room. The chef had to come to our table to get the order correct. In the end, the food was not fabulous as I had expected it to be. Another disappointment was the bar service; I had to take two drinks back to the bar to get them corrected. No fault of the bar tender just the dining room server not putting the order in correctly. It will probably be another 10 months or more before I try it again.
Great food & service
We went for dinner before a concert at the FedExForum. The restaurant was very busy. The service was attentive and the food came quickly. The food was exceptional.
We went for the Thanksgiving buffet. The food was delicious and there was a great selection. The workers were all friendly and helpful.
Great food with a good ambiance!
Service was excellent. Great place to eat before or after an event at the FedEx Forum. Went there with my family for Downtown Dining Week, but will definitely be coming back here for their delicious food and drinks.
Everything was great the food the music the setting I enjoyed everything about it and the service of course I will come again the drinks was on point also valet parking was wonderful you get good three hours valet free
Food delicious, attentive service. Bar service quite slow.
The ambience was very nice, the food was tasty but the food was just so little. I wished I got more for my money.
We had a limited menu for downtown dining week but what we had a few good options to choose from. The bisque was tasty and churros were flavorful. The ravioli and green beans were lacking some more seasons.
Went here a few years ago and we had a great meal. They said the chief was the same. I ordered my pork chop I had last time. It was the best one I ever had. This time it was terrible. The waitress never stopped by to check if the food was alright. It was too done ( I ordered it medium to medium rare so it would be tender and juicy) and my wife's short ribs were very tough.
It was kind of busy that night and the waitress really wasn't qualified to be working there.
We had to ask for the bread earlier and my martini came in a cocktail glass in lieu of a martini glass. I should have known then it wasn't going to a good night.
I would not recommend going here.
Always great service and a friendly staff. Food is always excellent.
We went for appetizers later at night. The eggrolls and crabcakes were good but pretty small.
Great food. Everything had a well developed flavor. Great service.
The wait service, the food, and the ambience were great!!! Good job!!!
The lamb chop was very good, and the cheesecake. Service, was slow although it wasn't a lot of people in there.
A very nice view of the Fedex Forum and close to Beale Street.
The food was good and service was good!
Bleu did not prepare for the pre-concert crowd. The restaurant was packed as expected. We had a reservation and were seated after a 10 minutes wait. There was only one hostess trying to seat and set the whole restaurant. We waited more than 10 minutes for our server, then another 15 for our first drinks to come. 2 appetizers and 2 salads (ordered and delivered together) took another 50 minutes. The hostess and server were very nice and trying to do a good job but they were overwhelmed. Management should have a better plan.
We've been here many times, usually before a show or ballgame, and don't expect an amazing experience. It's all about the convenience for us. We took another couple before a concert and were there for hours!! It took forever to get our menus, forever to place our drink order, forever and a day to get our drinks and then place our food order. They weren't overly crowded either so all we could guess was understaffed.
We frequently go to Bleu before events at the Fed Ex Forum. Unfortunately, on this evening, we waited 45 minutes for our food to come and they forgot our appetizers completely. The food was good when it came and our waitress was kind but swamped. We will return in the future and hopefully it will be better because we know that it can be.
I feel as though they should have better food choices since they are pricey and they should give a better portion of food. First time dining there and i came for my birthday, I wasn't pleased.
Our service was slow, although I feel the sweet waitress was doing all she could do with so many tables and the bar. It took a long time to get a drink. The food was cold and the hamburger we ordered well done was served rare. The restaurant is pretty and convenient to the Fed-Ex Forum.
This was the worst restaurant experience ever! I made reservations for 6 people for 5:45 on 7/5/17. We waited like 15 minutes before our drink order was taken. I ordered a cocktail and one of my friends did too off the cocktail menu. They were horrible. I've never sent a drink back neither had she. So, we decided to get a basic cosmopolitan. 30 minutes later the waitress brings 2 drinks that are almost clear, you can tell it was not a cosmopolitan. It tasted even worse. We just drank water. We had ordered our food before this was ever brought to the table. 7:00 we still have not received our food. We asked. It appears that food had been sitting on the counter for a long time. I don't know if it was ours or not. At 7:15 they start to bring some of our plates. The food was so cold, we asked for a manager. One of the chefs came out and was very apologetic and offered to bring one of the guest a slider appetizer since his fries and burger was cold. 3 of us ordered the filet that was served over mashed potatoes with asparagus. The potatos were cold and the steaks were Luke warm. Again this is at 7:15 our reservations were at 5:45. The one chef was extremely apologetic. The second Chef her jacket had Ann G. Executive chef if I recall she was a black female. She never apologized and just started snatching the plates off the table. She was so rude and abrupt she bumped one of my friends and didn't say excuse me or anything. She continued that until she removed every plate as though we had done something wrong. The other chef I did not see her name but she was a white female. Again apologized and told us not to worry. The poor waitress felt horrible and we did tip her. It wasn't her fault but she wasn't the best waitress either. With all that being said. I've eaten there numerous times in the past. The service has always been poor. The food has been ok. I do not understand what the issue is with this restaurant, it's inside the Westin and across the street from the Forum.
Our server was very nice, but the bar was extremely slow getting cocktails to us. We waited forever for our food and were not served at the same time. My bleu salad was not as described (no bacon what so ever). Very disappointing. Will not return before any Forum event.
Great job with concert crowd. Enjoyed the server and the food.
This was my 2nd time trying Bleu; the first time wasn't great but I was hoping for an improvement. Unfortunately it felt like deja vu. There was only one other table of guests when we arrived and it still took a very long time to receive our food. We had tickets for a 7pm show at the Orpheum so we made 4:30 reservations. By the time we were able to pay our bills we got to the Orpheum with only 5 or so minutes to spare. For the amount of money we spent the experience just wasn't worth it.
I would have rather eaten at home and had my hello fresh meals and the objection of the evening was to get out of the house for fine dining. Spending that money, you expect better quality food and it just was not quality food.
