Slow. Awful service.
We loved our server Shannon and the food was excellent and prices were reasonable.
First off, the waitress, Shannon, was the most helpful and pleasant! My mom didn't like her beer, so Shannon put it in the fridge until I was ready for it. The fried green tomatoes with bacon jam was one of the highlights! I also had the filet mignon with potato puree and green beans; the steak was hands down one of the most tender and flavorful steaks I've ever had! The only complaint I have is I wish I would of had more green beans as I had only about five small ones on the plate! We were in town for a Elton John Concert which was across the street at the Fed Ex Forum. I would highly recommend this establishment!
Had a reservation before a concert. Waited for an hour after we were seated and only got water. Ordered drinks and appetizers and 1 hour later still had not seen our waitress again. Horrible experience. We walked out because we could not find a manager/ waitstaff to help us.
Please accept my apologies. We had challenges on Saturday with staffing due to tardiness and absence. We did the very best we could under the circumstances but I know it wasn't enough. I am so sorry our problems impacted your night out and that you left for the concert without getting any service or food. Kind Regards, Carrie Ashley
This was our second time to this restaurant, and it didn’t disappoint. The food was out of this world. We both got the shrimp and grits which were delicious! The service in general was a little slow, but it may have been due to the concert/appeared under staffed. However, our server, Shannon, did an amazing job. We will definitely return!
Thank you for your kind words about the food and Shannon's service. We did have some last minute staffing issues and I'm sorry that it affected the speed of service. I'm sorry that it affected you on your visit to us. Kind Regards, Carrie Ashley
They were understaffed. The waitresses were cheerful and definitely doing their best under the circumstances. Our soup was lukewarm and it took a while for drink refills and for the food to arrive. I think everything would’ve been better had they had more staff.
Hi Allison, Please accept my apology that you didn't get the service you deserved. We unfortunately had some staffing issues at the last minute at affected our abilities to provide the level of service we like to have. Kind Regards, Carrie Ashley
The food was incredibly good - everything we ordered was fantastic. The folks in the kitchen who developed the cheese/cauliflower/bacon side that accompanies the ribeye need a medal. That could be an entree on its own. Carmen took excellent care of us. We will definitely be returning soon.
Hi Tammy, Thank you for your kind words about Carmen's service and the food. I will share them with the team. Kind Regards, Carrie Ashley
The restaurant was nice and quite, our service was awesome, and they did everything to ensure our date night was great
Nice place for a quite supper. Suitable for the casual dinner or someone visiting the downtown area. I would not recommend for people with children, but fine for teens.
I only gave this 4 star because our food was excellent but what I did not like was the restaurant is located in a hotel. I did not realize this when I made our reservations. Service was excellent and the food delicious, I recommend eating there if you are staying at the hotel but why would you since Beal Street is just out the door and down a block with many fabulous restaurants.
Mother daughter trip
We had dinner at Bleu prior to a show at the FedEx Forum. Our server was very attentive and sweet. Dinner was really good ... halibut for me and grilled Caesar salad with chicken and roasted red pepper soup for my husband. 😋!! We will definitely be back !!
We had slow service at the end and never received our dessert bc we needed to leave to make our 8pm show. Very disappointed we didnt get to try the dessert bc all the food was so good.
Service was excellent. Was surprised by how small the shrimp and grits portion was. A little disappointed for something that cost $28. Everything else was really good
We went to Bleu before a night at the Orpheum and it was perfect! It was not crowded, the server was fantastic, and the food and drinks were delicious! I will definitely be returning!
Shannon was a great server! We went before a show at the Orpheum. I was a little surprised it wasn't busier. It's such a short walk to the theater. The food was excellent!
our family of four (all adults) went for my wife's birthday, as well as pre-theater dining before an Orpheum show. Servicve was wonderfully attentive and the food was top-notch.
2nd visit. 2nd great experience. Friendly, professional staff, food prepared and presented well. Pre Orpheum dinner, we were out in plenty of time to leisurely walk to theater.
6 in our party: drinks, appetizers, entrees and desserts.
Shannon, our waitress, was amazing!
Great service. Great food. Was surprised it was hardly nowhere there that night tho.
Food was delicious and server was very friendly!
Food was really fabulous. We ate early as we had to catch a plane, so didn't get to take advantage of what looked like was going to be a fun place to be. I would go back . . . and love free valet!
We went for Mother's Day Brunch. The first issue that I encountered was when I asked the server for the salmon to be prepared medium rare, I was told that she would see what she could do for me. When our food arrived, my salmon was medium well. My Mother also ordered the salmon, and there was absolutely no distinction. It was obvious that all the salmon dishes were prepared in advance. Additionally, the portion size was very small for a $26 meal that didn't include bread/rolls or a side salad. My plate contained the salmon, approximately a half a cup of couscous, 3 asparagus spears and one small carrot. We left the restaurant hungry.
The ambiance was cold and business like. I do need to mention that the hostesses were friendly and attentive, and our server was attentive. I believe the restaurant caters to business professionals that are traveling, since it's connected to The Westin. I didn't realize this was a hotel restaurant until I arrived.
I will not be returning here. I would only suggest this place for drinks and a light meal or appetizers for people not looking for a filling meal.
We enjoyed dining at the Bleu...great experience and the waitress was extremely nice and attentive to every detail of our order as my mom is a vegetarian .
The ambiance of this restaurant has changed since I last visited. Food was pretty good. Charcuterie board was a joke. Do not get.
Great location! Great food selections! Service was SLOW.
I was expecting it to be good but it was far better than I expected. The food was outstanding! And even though we’d prepared to be there a while because a lot of other reviews said the service was slow, our service was quick. It was a wonderful dining experience!
Very nice restaurant at street level in the Westin just off of Beale St. Nice menu choices and reasonably-priced. It was a very quiet early evening on a Saturday. We enjoyed a charcuterie board, beet salad and short ribs. We shared them and it was a great meal for two.
The staff was exceptional and the food was awesome! Going back for Mother's Day.
They were cleaning the floors, so we ate in a nearly empty restaurant, so I cannot comment on the atmosphere. But the food was seasoned and heated perfectly. Staff was very kind.
We went there before a concert and really enjoyed it. The food was very tasty and generous in size. The only negative was the dessert. We shared a chocolate mousse and it was quite small and very average in flavor-not bad at all but nothing remarkable about it. Plus it was expensive.!
Our waiter was the best ; you’re fortunate to have him! Cheese board was fantastic and wine great value for an Italian red. Was dining before the Jackson Browne concert ; great date night!
Very good casual dinner, after the game some wanted burgers, others flatbread, and the chicken breast was excellent a very pleasant surprise
Friendly folk. Scrumptious food. Exceptional service. Perfect for pre- or post- forum events. Try the tomato bisque and grilled cheese. To die for delicious!!!
Service was excellent. Food Delish. We had some talent in town and took them here for dinner and a Grizz game. Great choice. The kid even ate his whole plate!
Top notch service and the most personable server ever, Angela!
The food was very good but the service was a bit lacking. They seemed to be short staffed. A member of the cleaning staff bused the table. We will try again because the food was good. Hoping it was just a bad night for staff.
Went in and no one attended us, not even after we walked up to the bar. I am not a picky person and worked in the food industry for five years. The place was unwelcoming to say the least.
Waitress was great- so ew we were going to b-ball game and got us out in plenty of time
Limited menu, but executed very well. Server not classically trained, but was very polite and friendly, very enthusiastic and attentive (just the right amount - not hovering over, but never far away) - far and away better than 99% of the wait service I've received in Tennessee.
Bleu is now my absolute favorite spot to go either before or after an event at the Fedex Forum - and maybe even just when visiting Memphis to stroll on Beale. Great place.
Our dinner was fabulous and service was exceptional!!!!!
