Bleu Northeast Seafood
We were here for brunch on Mothers Day. It was a last minute decision so our choices were limited. We were pleasantly surprised by the food, it was very good and for that alone this gets my recommendation. Unfortunately, we had the last reservation and we were definitely encouraged to move along by the staff (places cleared and bill brought before 2 of our party of 4 had finished eating.) The other negative is ambiance, its a hotel lobby/lounge/restaurant - its dark and generic.
Creative menu , excellent service. Would love to go back for dinner.
Incredible food at a competitive price. Great brunch- the perfect Mother’s Day!
Very good meal - food was excellent, service was a little slow - felt like kitchen might have been a bit understaffed. But we had a great experience overall and would recommend. Pricey but quality of food met the price expectation.
Bleu is a delicious restaurant with a contemporary feeling and beautiful view of the Lake. I highly recommend this for any occasions.
My mother is not one for "fancy" places, but she found your wonderful food and the welcoming atmosphere perfect for a lovely meal. Came for Restaurant Week, we will certainly come again. Best seafood in the area!
We had an excellent meal at Bleu. I recommend it for people who enjoy high quality ingredients served up in a delicious and beautiful way. This is not an inexpensive restaurant, and it should not be - it is fantastic and the price point matches the quality of the experience. An excellent choice for people with discerning taste.
Great food and service. It is a slower dinner, allowing you to enjoy the food and wine. I would suggest being prepared to be there for a few hours.
We visited Bleu for our first time during restaurant week. Each course was outstanding; delicious, nicely presented, and generous. Our “primary” server was great; very personable and efficient. There were other random servers that also stopped by our table which was a little confusing. The restaurant week menu was a very good value but drinks were a bit pricey.
100% it was a lovely dining experience with excellent service. I truly appreciated the delicious food and atmosphere
Yummy and intimate. Our server was knowledgeable and the lobster roll was even more delicious than the ones I get on Cape Cod.
Food quality was excellent however 50+ minute wait time for brunch for a table of 9 is ridiculous. Server was nice but showed minimal attentiveness. Manager was responsive and apologetic for situation. Bottom line VERY slow service but phenomenal food
Best views in Burlington! Overall a very satisfactory experience. Would like to see more fish on the menu, though. (We didn't quite understand the predominance of meat)
Nice prix Fixe menu for Vermont Restaurant Week. Food was excellent but please stop serving children’s drinks in glasses!!
I had never been to Burlington before and had no expectations. The dining room modern
And comfortable with a view of the lake for some tables. The menu was creative, just the right size. The staff was very friendly and offered a nice wine list. It was also restaurant week.
Excellentes pâtes aux champignons, artichaut ... service parfait
The atmosphere is lovely, especially at sunset. We were very satisfied with the service. Food was good but not excellent. We shared a very nice Charcuterie board as an appetizer 1 diner's swordfish was a bit overcooked and quite oily (? added oil). The salmon was very good. The bouillabaisse was mostly mussels but flavor was good.
Exceptional service from Timea and the rest of the staff. The large, boisterous party in the dining room was a bit of a distraction, but the host was accommodating and took steps to make sure we were still comfortable and enjoying our meal. Incredibly delicious food (some of the best scallops I've ever had), and overall a great night!
Amazing service and incredible food!
It was visit day for new admits at UVM so the restaurants in downtown were packed. We went to open table to find an alternative in the area, and Bleu came up as having openings. When we realized it was in the Marriott we were a little suspect at first, but it turned out to be an amazing meal. I had the papperadelle which was wonderful, and someone in my party had the trout, which I regretted not ordering. It was delectable.
If you're looking for a great place for seafood and a quiet atmosphere and a spectacular view of the lake, I highly recommend Bleu.
Food delicious. Staff professional and friendly. Highly recommend!
Great service. Server very friendly and answered all of our needs with a big smile. She made sure we were satisfied but it was never too much. It makes a huge difference when you are served by professionals.
This was better than expected/anticipated. We have stayed in the hotel previously and haven’t thought to eat in the restaurant, much to our chagrin after dining at there recently. Food and service were fantastic and the ambiance was very nice. We will return in the future, certainly if we say at the hotel.
Yummy food and excellent service!
Another delicious meal at Bleu! The seared Striped bass was just delicious as well as the accompanying delights. The service was great and a good crowd having dinner. It’s a little pricey, but, tastes and service make up the difference. Would recommend this restaurant to all. We’ll be back!
Seated right away. Host and servers were very pleasant. Very nice decor. Tables were quite comfortable. Menu options were great. Food and beverages were impressive. The crab cake was absolutely delicious. Highly suggest the local trout dish. Would highly recommend Bleu Northeast.
All 4 of the people in our party thought each of their dishes was exc ellent--including two differen t soups, a salad and multiple entrees and deserts. Best we've had in Vermont!
Dinner before the play at Vermont Stage. Dinner was a bit pricey but absolutely delicious!
We had another delicious meal at Bleu on Saturday night. It was a lovely meal and great service. Plenty to eat and a very comfortable place!
We had one dish (cider mussels) that was out of this world good. The fish and chips were okay. I had the special and it was yummy but the smoked rutabaga was pretty terrible. Thin and chewy. Not a good way to go for rutabaga. The cocktails were good. The service was pretty good except for the fact that they didn't wipe down the table after a course. We got some yummy VT cheeses and port wine for dessert however that's pretty standard for most places downtown. The noise (band) from the bar was a bit loud. We were having a hard time hearing each other across the table. My partner is a bit of a quiet talker so it wasn't as cozy and chill as we thought it would be.
Excellent new management and waitstaff. Exceeded expectations
Our waiter Geoff was amazing! The food was amazing! I had the scallop appetizer and surf and turf dinner. The crab cake was absolutely delicious the steak was cooked to perfection. We also got the chocolate hazelnut cake and apple almond tart to share so good. I absolutely will be going back!
all around a wonderful evening. highly recommended. food, drink, atmosphere, service.
our waitress was fantastic... but the food for the price was not overall impressive. I had the risotto and it had very little flavor.
We had received a gift certificate to Bleu for Christmas so we went on a Friday night in February. The setting was lovely - soft lighting, a window seat, comfortable seating. Our waitress was attentive but not omnipresent! Just the the right combination of being attended and being left alone. The food was superb in both presentation and taste. Green Lentils came with my roasted Char. What a nice change from potatoes or rice. My partner had polenta sticks with his swordfish. I love that they think creatively! Dessert of apple tart with cinnamon ice cream finished a delicious meal.
Very good quality food, preparation and service though not innovative. An excellent choice especially if there are non-foodies in your group.
Outstanding service and food quality for a great date night!
We had a great dinner at Bleu. I was very pleased that the staff worked with me to make a dinner out of the scallop entree - nothing was too difficult for them. My wife loved the lobster roll. We would definitely return.
Our dishes (charcuterie plate, scallops, bouillabaise) were fantastic, swordfish and fish and chips were OK. We saw the sunset over a frozen Champlain and that was fun too. Who knew a former restaurant could reside in a Courtyard?
Our expectations were a little bit higher, not very impressed with the food choice.
We'll probably recommend the restaurant to a friend but we'll not be very enthusiastic.
