Bleu Bohème is designed to create a feeling of France's past generations. It mixes the Bohemian and artistic free spirited left bank of Paris with the roots and tradition of the rural areas. Bleu Bohème is a neighborhood restaurant that serves accessible, affordable and comforting French cuisine.

Normally one of my favorite restaurants, but the food quality was just not up to par this time. Very disappointing.
Hopefully they workout the issues, but I’m not sure I’ll try again.

We sat outside with our reservation, which I highly recommend due to the demand and availability of tables with the new norm of social distancing. It was casual and our server was very attentive and very informative of the new social distancing rules with dining in. He recommended his favorite dish on the menu, which we ended up getting because we were still hungry towards the end of the meal. It was the salmon tartar with roe on top of a crepe with some kind of cheese? It was delicious and felt very French. I loved the duck pate and options on the charcuterie board. The hanger steak with bernaise sauce and frites were cooked perfectly. The French onion soup was sweet with just the right amount of cheese. We also shared their beet salad with friend goat cheese and hazelnuts. It sounds heavy, but because they were all such fresh Ingredients, it didn’t feel overly gluttonous at all LOL My best friend and I couldn’t have had a better first meal to have out in the real world :)

So disappointed in the food here. Everything tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge or freezer for too long—stale and flat flavors, and even the prep and presentation was sloppy. Steak was not evenly cooked and the beef bourguignon sauce was bitter and had no pearl onions (one of just the few veggies it is supposed to have). The charcuterie was just sad. This restaurant is in a price bracket ($200 for 2 people with 2 drinks, after tip) where it is competing with the very best restaurants in San Diego and the food isn’t even close.

The restaurant did a great job distancing people. The food was great and we enjoyed our meal very much. Prices seemed to have been raised since our last visit but that was expected since they can only serve half as many people. We recommend and we will return.

They got my order wrong. I didn’t say anything, however it added $40 to my dinner
Charging for bread now, which I understand. I don’t like their crostini's that are being served with the cheese board.
great place for just wine salad and cheese but that’s it

Expertly prepared food in an authentic atmosphere. The service was great and everything was delicious. We had mussels prepared two ways. Both were excellent and by far the most mussels I've ever been served at a restaurant.

Food is mediocre at best. Dry duck confit that I would throw away if cooked as is at home. Unfresh escargot served out of shells on a random plate without any display for 20 dollars. Burnt cheese top on onion soup. For a restaurant charge premium price with below average food quality, I am surprised it lasted this long.

We were so happy to see them open. Felt very comfortable there. Menu options were great. We were so pleased with our server Jorge. The drinks were delicious and the food was prepared to perfection. We had the salmon and the beef bourguignon Everything was perfect for our first meal out of quarantine. Thank you.

Everything was perfect for our first night out to a restaurant. Tables were spaced appropriately, staff was fantastic and the food was wonderful as well. Once again reminded why this is one of the best restaurants in San Diego.

So excited to be back in a restaurant and Bleu Boheme knocked it out of the park . They made everyone feel safe and comfortable and the food was off the charts. I am a regular once a week diner here and I couldn't be more grateful for a beautiful moment to escape from the stress of our world. Thank you, thank you to all the staff for being brave.

The experience was pretty excellent considering it was the 1st day back after months. The table spacing made us feel very comfortable and everyone wore masks when they were standing or walking by so it all felt very secure. Food was good as always

We were so happy to get out finally! The dining room was immaculate! Nicely spaced out tables. The staff were fantastic, clean, kind, and accommodating! Hats off to Blue Boheme for being ready ASAP! It was a wonderful night out! Prices are up a little but I expected that. Happy to pay. Thanks for being open!! A new fav.

We really enjoy Bleu Boheme and have since it opened several years ago. We always have a good meal, good wine and good service. It's only 15 min. from our house, more convenient than a downtown trek, and just as tasty.

We celebrated my birthday and was given a birthday card and chocolate mousse from the restaurant.
The harvest salad, mussels and escargot were wonderful.

Out go-to place in Kensington/North Park area. The Tuesday Prix-Fixe $35 dinner menu is a great deal and perfect portions. If not on Tuesdays we split the mussels as an appetizer and then split a plate for dinner. You will not be disappointed.....

the beef burgundy and duck leg were really good. the escargot was fishy. nutella crepes and bread pudding were okay. waiter was mia for most of dinner. i don’t think it was worth the $118 dollars.

Six of us went to Bleu Boheme for a birthday dinner. As soon as we arrived, we were seated promptly at a comfortable table. We started with the cheese / charcuterie sampler board, which was wonderful - a really wide selection of cheeses and meats - everyone at the table was pleased with it. For dinner, there was a wide variety of dishes ordered - confit de canard, beef bourguignon, Jidori chicken, mussels & fries. Again, everyone was very happy with their meals - no one had a negative thing to say at all.

For dessert we ordered 3 different dishes - creme brulee, profiteroles, and the brioche bread pudding. All the desserts were very good but I have to say the standout was the brioche bread pudding. The brioche was very tender and flavorful, and had just the right amount of sweetness - sweet but not a sugar-bomb. One person in our party even ordered the chocolate martini for dessert and said it was marvelous. So in one night the six of us managed to cover most of the menu. Everyone agreed that Bleu Boheme was a hit - we will most definitely go back.
