The mussels and fries are always great and the service is excellent.
One of the finest meals we have had in a long time. Such a great value!
Food is pretty good. Servings are not huge. The 'pommes frites' were cold when served, unfortunately. Nice ambience. Really nice servers. Will give it another try.
Highly recommend Bleu Boheme for a romantic date or anniversary. Our service was outstanding. I appreciate the fact our server didn't assume I would be making the wine choice for our meal. Instead she politely asked who would be making the selection and then made wine recommendations to my wife. So many good choices on the menu too. Will be back to sample some more!
Great food and wonderful staff! Best french in town!
One of my favorite restaurants in san diego, never disappoints, excellent everything, food, drinks, service, etc!
Lovely birthday dinner...very nice server and excellent food as always
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening celebrating my wife's birthday. The food was outstanding and the service was very good. My wife received a free small goody for dessert that topped off the evening.
Another great experience at Blue Boheme! My husband and I were celebrating a special occasion and our table had a congratulatory card signed by the staff waiting for us as we arrived. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and our two main dishes were delicious. We ended up having desert - profiteroles- to end the meal. Also delicious.
Two thumbs up for Blue Boheme!
Lovely food and excellent service by Angela. It was a wonderful birthday celebration.
Great moules and very nice gnocchi 🍷
Food was amazing. The decor is super cute, the servers were attentive and pleasant. Overall a great experience.
We were looking forward to going to this for restaurant week but when we initially got to the restaurant we were hit with the smell of mold and or mildew that was so off putting we sat outside. The food was not good served our medium steak well cooked and the mashed purée had no flavor. The desserts were also disappointing. This is the first in a long time we were disappointed by restaurant week. Definitely will not be coming back.
Mediocre food and drink & overpriced! Not impressed.
Everything I've ever had there has been outstanding. Wonderful menu and attentive staff. A real favorite!
Wonderful French food but in busy neighborhood with no ambiance. Probably perfect place for young people seeking small plates at cocktail hour. Not for fine dining. Boeff burguinon excellent as was the lamb.
The food was extremely salty! I ordered the skirt steak. I couldn't eat it, as it was so tough. The ambiance was lovely with all the lit candles. Very nice touch.
Very much enjoyed the food and the service was great. The room was a little loud but that could have been the large party that was celebrating.
This is the food that you dream about.
The only thing that eclipsed the exquisite food at this establishment was the exceptional service we received. I will be returning anytime I am even remotely near the San Diego area.
Beautiful place. There was another patron there that was super loud and obnoxious, but the restaurant did a good job accommodating our requests to move a couple of times to get to a more peaceful/romantic table.
We love this restaurant for all aspects however, this visit included a very loud crying infant (on going) I respect the restaurant staff for leaving the parents to care for the child, but I don’t appreciate parents who selfishly bring infants to fine dinning restaurants.
The food was amazing especially the steak n fries. The drinks were also amazing, and service. The only issue I had was the bread was way too hard, actually was inedible because of that, hurt my mouth when trying to chew it. Overall was great though.
Mussels and Martini Monday’s are a personal favorite. Highly recommended
Awesome food. Reasonable prices nice selection to choose from. Nice wine list we will return
They were very nice and held our table, even though we were running late.
I arrived at 5 pm for my reservation. This happened to also be when their Happy Hour started. The staff greeted everyone as they entered since the restaurant was just opening at 5 pm. I chose my table and was escorted by the server who was also the manager. I advised her that I had a 5 pm OpenTable reservation. She promptly said we do not accept reservations for Happy Hour. I mentioned I would be around well after Happy Hour.
While eating my dinner and waiting for my friend who texted me she would arrive late. I glance at my phone to see if there was an update and noticed the restaurant had canceled my OpenTable reservation.
I mentioned this to Jasmine (the manager and my server) and she stated that we do not honor OpenTable for Happy Hour. I advised her that I came to order dinner and had in fact ordered dinner, pointing to my plate of Boeuf Bourguignon. Jasmine was reluctant to change the status with OpenTable but after a minute conversation, she decided she would make the change.
I am very disappointed that I had to bring this topic up with the restaurant. It is my favorite place for French food and especially the Boeuf.
It was embarrassing and made me feel like I was begging. I am very disappointed that Jasmine change/canceled my OpenTable reservation without even telling me. If I did not look while at the restaurant. I would have been furious when I found out at home.
Although it was fixed. I feel it was petty rude for the manager to assume I would not be having dinner. I love this restaurant. It has been my go-to. I feel it affected the service I received. My server was excellent and very apologetic. Jasmine was smug and unapologetic. I am so sorry technicalities are more important than making a guest feel welcomed. Unfortunately, it has tainted my perspective on the management of the restaurant. Jasmine could have easily given me a warning and everything would have been fine. Instead, she made me grovel......
Just love this restaurant. Always delightful ambiance. Wonderful staff and of course, there's the delicious food. Can't say enough wonderful things...
Food was uneven: the pate was served too cold and was too hard and dry (maybe just old); all three desserts were subpar -- the profiterole was rock hard, waaay too old, creme brûlée too sweet; chocolate mousse also old and serving was on the stingy side. On the plus side, the paillard of chicken was excellent, the pan sauce plate-licking good; peas tasty and perfectly cooked; gnocchi however was glue-like, with little to no flavor. Our server was very personable without being obsequious; there when he needed to be, but never hovering. The wine list seemed fairly comprehensive, if you know French wines, which I regrettably do not.
Our food was excellent. We've already recommended it to other people and are planning our next visit. Loved the ambiance and drip candles. Parking was convenient.
Food was pretty bland. I’ve had Moules Marineres many places here and France and it’s by far the worst I’ve had. There were a few bad mussels in it also. I will return one day but will get my Moules elsewhere.
Went there on date night with my husband. We have been there multiple times in the past but it's been at least a good year. Went there for the food, basil martini, and atmosphere. I ordered the chicken dish and was a bit disappointed. It had some flavor but tasted like it's been sitting under the heat lamp for too long. My husband got the ribeye special and was not very impressed either. The basil martinis and ambiance were great tho.
Nice neighborhood restaurant with excellent food and wait staff.
Marvelous everything truly a lovely dining experience
We really like this restaurant but recently the food has not been as consistent.
I had a dish with calmari and pesto and beans...having had something similar in Portugal this dish had too much pesto sauce...a little goes a long way.
There mussels are fabulous and there gnocchi was light and fluffy.
They were out of there scallops which if your are a scallop lover is to die for.
Would come back but would be more picky on my choices.
Nice time on the patio with our dogs. It was pretty slow on arrival and it seemed the crew wasn’t super motivated. It picked up later and the intensity did as well. Our server was attentive but seemed to be taking tables inside and outside. We wanted to take our time and she read that well and paced our meals nicely. Meals were tasty as always. Great meaty mussels, charcuterie, chicken entree. All yummy. Delicious Sancerre to accompany. Very nice night overall. Will certainly go back and recommend
Seating was prompt and menus followed immediately. It was an anniversary and they had a thoughtful card on the table signed by all the staff. We shared an escargot cassoulet, which I had never seen before at a French restaurant and it was substantial and extremely tasty. I had the duck confit. I would say their confit is more flavorful than other places I have enjoyed it in the past. This is much more like you find in France. My wife had the beef bourguignon which was also substantial and excellent with very tender beef and wonderful sauce with surrounding veggies happily swimming in the sauce. For desert they gave us a chocolate mousse which again was very flavorful. We had been to Boheme several times before and were happy that we picked it for a special day. It's casual and they do have free parking in back of their location in Kensington. Highly recommended!
Great food and service
The food was good, we ordered off a dinner for 2 menu. The good thing about that was the portions seemed to still be the same as if you ordered each item individually from the regular menu. Really nice ambiance but very slow service.
Gem in the neighborhood!
