Had more tables set up outside due to new COVID restrictions,
Love this restaurant! Even dining here al fresco during Covid is a true delight. The service is top notch, they have an extensive wine list and the food is always consistently good.
Great meal with my Daughter who is learning French. We had a great time and loved the food.
Great food and atmosphere as always but even better service.
Everything was outstanding. Charcuterie board and French onion soup were wonderfully authentic. Main dishes were steak frites, mussels, croque garçon. My oh my!!!! All delicious and perfectly prepared. Shared profiteroles for dessert. Chocolate sauce was perfection. Great wine selection. Service was spot on, friendly and attentive without overdoing it. Will return many times for sure!
We visited for Father’s Day
Expensive but excellent Food and service
Came here for my anniversary dinner and it was amazing. Friendly staff all signed a card for my wife and I. They kept the place clean and safe from Covid.
Amazing food and great ambiance. Perfect for date night!
Excellent service. Great food! Food and drink menu has a lot of varieties. Would eat here every night if I could afford it!
Very romantic and casual at the same time
Wine was great. Food was good, but the pork chop/mashed potatoes and vegetables were cooked well, but lukewarm. Pork chop was very thick and hard to cut. My partner’s duck confit was good. Best part was the flourless chocolate cake, but for the portion size vs. the $10.95 price, it and the rest of the food were overpriced. Bleu Boheme have changed a lot since I went there in 2009!
We had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary at Bleu Boheme. The service was stellar and food was great!
Great management when a dish wasn’t up to par. Service recovery was on point, highly recommend this romantic hideaway. Btw, the basil martini is the BEST.
The calamari appetizer was the standout food item but it was all good. Excellent cocktail (boulevardier). Service was attentive but not oppressive. We like to take our time and we were not rushed at all. Excellent onion soup too. Love this place!
Really lovely experience for our first anniversary.
The mussels are so fresh and tasty, my all time favorite.
The servers went above and beyond to make sure my dad had a great birthday!
We had a very pleasurable experience, and dinner was terrrific!
Service was great ..
All the ambiance you would want and was a beautiful evening very happy to be out and we felt safe ..
Blue Boheme is one of my favorite restaurants.
I didn’t like the bread they served.
The old fashioned bread was much better.
There was a mix up with the dishes and it took a long time to sort it out.
We were not charged for one of the dishes
This was our first dine in experience in 3 months, and we had a wonderful experience. The food is awesome, as always, and the service is top notch.
The staff was great, and the drinks were exemplary, all while maintaining the exceptional food and service, under the current stringent guidelines.
We look forward to many more great experiences at Bleu Boheme.
Everything was fabulous! The staff is always lovely and the salmon was absolutely perfect!!! Cocktails were over the top as usual! Outside dining on this warm evening was a reminder of normal life before covid! Thank you Blue Boheme❤️
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our first dinner out since March.
Great waitress. Restaurant really practiced Covid distancing , disinfection and masking practices which is comforting.
Delicious food and great service!
Used to come here a lot for lunch but after them curtailing that service we haven't ventured to Kensington for quite a while. Food is just as good as we remembered with great moules/frites. They are definitely in the lead there after the much loved Cafe Chloe closed.
We go here quite a bit and have always received amazing service and friendly hostess. Tonight the hostess was less than friendly and a bit curt. We got there 5 minuets before our 2 guests and would not seat us when clearly the table was ready. I understand policies but her delivery of the message was curt. I asked if we could sit and order appetizers and she pointed to the bar. Then when our party got there, she put all 4 sets of silverware on the side of the table and with the menu without bothering to hand them individually. We sat there for another 10 minutes before someone came by. It was certainly not the experience we have ever had here! Our food servers were good at least and our favorite food server who gave our dessert even asked us about our family and was engaging. I get it’s a pandemic and everyone is just figuring it out but if I go out with my family, I do expect a welcoming attitude. Otherwise why bother?
Lovely place for a quite romantic dinner. Wonderful food. Charming ambience and great service too. So glad they are open. Praying they will remain so.
Very nice atmosphere, not hectic or overcrowded. Service was friendly and responsibly protected and covered.
Charging for bread, especially at a French restaurant, is disappointing. Also, presenting the bread in a paper bag is even worse. The onion soup was delicious but overpriced
Great food, amazing staff, and a fabulous wine menu
We have enjoyed many meals here in the past. When we got the word they were open again, we could not resist.
Always, excellent food and service.
Normally one of my favorite restaurants, but the food quality was just not up to par this time. Very disappointing.
Hopefully they workout the issues, but I’m not sure I’ll try again.
We sat outside with our reservation, which I highly recommend due to the demand and availability of tables with the new norm of social distancing. It was casual and our server was very attentive and very informative of the new social distancing rules with dining in. He recommended his favorite dish on the menu, which we ended up getting because we were still hungry towards the end of the meal. It was the salmon tartar with roe on top of a crepe with some kind of cheese? It was delicious and felt very French. I loved the duck pate and options on the charcuterie board. The hanger steak with bernaise sauce and frites were cooked perfectly. The French onion soup was sweet with just the right amount of cheese. We also shared their beet salad with friend goat cheese and hazelnuts. It sounds heavy, but because they were all such fresh Ingredients, it didn’t feel overly gluttonous at all LOL My best friend and I couldn’t have had a better first meal to have out in the real world :)
So disappointed in the food here. Everything tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge or freezer for too long—stale and flat flavors, and even the prep and presentation was sloppy. Steak was not evenly cooked and the beef bourguignon sauce was bitter and had no pearl onions (one of just the few veggies it is supposed to have). The charcuterie was just sad. This restaurant is in a price bracket ($200 for 2 people with 2 drinks, after tip) where it is competing with the very best restaurants in San Diego and the food isn’t even close.
The restaurant did a great job distancing people. The food was great and we enjoyed our meal very much. Prices seemed to have been raised since our last visit but that was expected since they can only serve half as many people. We recommend and we will return.
not impressed with the food. Took a long time.
They got my order wrong. I didn’t say anything, however it added $40 to my dinner
Charging for bread now, which I understand. I don’t like their crostini's that are being served with the cheese board.
great place for just wine salad and cheese but that’s it
Expertly prepared food in an authentic atmosphere. The service was great and everything was delicious. We had mussels prepared two ways. Both were excellent and by far the most mussels I've ever been served at a restaurant.
Wonderful exoerience..great food, drinks and service.
Food is mediocre at best. Dry duck confit that I would throw away if cooked as is at home. Unfresh escargot served out of shells on a random plate without any display for 20 dollars. Burnt cheese top on onion soup. For a restaurant charge premium price with below average food quality, I am surprised it lasted this long.
