Was one of the first tables to sit this morning. We all enjoyed put meal. But dis notice that the portions seemed a bit larger as they came out after we had been given ours. Would definitely return. Merry
Food was delish. Way too crowded, tables were on top of one another. Poor wine list.
Service was excellent and food was delicious. We always enjoy returning to Blenheim. Bar snack of fried chicken is something I wish was a main but then wouldn’t have had the amazing short ribs. Wine paired perfectly with meal. Look forward to our return.
Great food. Quiet atmosphere. Tried restaurant week menu and food was very good. Would go back.
Lively place with great food and cocktails. Beautiful space.
Although the restaurant messed up our order three times (served a martini in a rocks glass, gave us a dish with yogurt when we requested no dairy, asked for salad with dressing on the side, salad came with dressing...) it was good. I think they have a little more work to do on paying attention to what is being ordered
Loved the food, wine, and staff! I had the chicken dish and my fiance had the pork five-way dish and we loved it! We had the poached farm egg and crispy brussel sprouts to start and both were delicious and fresh as well!
Bummed to see the quality of food since this place opened has taken a nose dive.
Food was ok.
Excellent experience all around, from service to food. Would definitely (and intend) to go again.
Service and ambiance were great. I expected more for a farm to table concept. But it was good enough.
Wish there were more reasonable wine choices.
Lovely service. Great food. Comfortable quiet atmosphere.
We had a great thanksgiving dinner here - many thanks to the team at Blenheim
Thank you just wonderful
We love Blenheim and returned to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. A special place with an emphasis on farm-to-table cooking. Warm caring service. A delight!
The food we had was good, however they were out of many things on the small menu including both entrees, salads and sides. They couldn’t make one of their signature cocktails because they had no cucumbers. Couldn’t they go to a market and buy a cucumber for drinks! With so many great restaurants in the city, I wouldn’t go back,
A slightly more dressed salad would have made the meal excellent. Still, the braised short rib was superb!
We had a great dinner here - very superior food - very friendly and fun service and knockout drinks - we will visit again for sure
This was bistro was such a pleasant surprise. I first attracted to chic decor & so I made a reservation. Then the warm & knowledgeable service made me want to come back. After we had a delicious & incredibly fresh tasting there course dinner we were totally in over. I’ll be back for sure.
Blenheim is in most respects, a cozy spot for a very tasty farm to table dinner. Came for Restaurant Week and had a delicious chilled tomato soup, an excellent green salad. For mains, a pork two ways was outstanding and roast chicken quite fine. Service was friendly. The only drawback is the pathetically anemic wine list. With very little to choose from, the markup on the always wonderful Guigal Cote du Rhone blanc at $69 is the most exorbitant I I've ever encountered in a NYC restaurants in over a half century. With tax and tip this wine, which I buy for $11-12 we're talking a 700% markup. I guess if you lack capital, space or interest and offer an almost non existent, generally dull list, you compound the felony by this whopping robbery. Despite a lovely meal, I'll have to think twice about returning unless corkage is a viable option. A pity.
Our server Ahad was great. The pork two ways was tender and delicious. The salad was large and excellent. The pea risotto was too salty but they made me a new one. The genoise dessert and raspberry almond cake were to die for, but alas the rhubarb tart pastry was very heavy and not flakey at all.
Outdoor is best to sit and relax, enjoy great food and the chef can cater to any or all food allergies, loved it
We went for Restaurant Week. The selection was very good and the food was delicious. Service was very, very slow. I think it was the kitchen, not the waiter.
Wine prices are horrific. No excuse for a 500% markup on a bottle of wine. That cancelled out any discount on the RW menu. Big time.
Very nice West Village dining experience, distinctive decor, great service. We went for restaurant week, so perhaps not maximizing the farm to table offerings that Blenheim is known for. Cocktails were exceptional, nice pour with the wine. If I must pick on anything it would have to be the fried chicken which was a bit too much like General Tso's, heritage chicken or not. Okay, I'll admit I liked it anyway, so cetainly don't let my comment on it keep you away from Blenheim.
Party in small private room. Excellent food, very accommodating. Short ribs were too fatty. Everyone oohed over other courses. Service quite personable. One negative note. We were running a separate tab for wine for the entire group. Aggressive refilling wine glasses. This prevents people ( and we had young adults) from responsibly tracking liquor intake. Glasses were not even 1/4 empty before they were quickly refilled.
Service was quite poor off the bat, waiters were understaffed and inattentive. Many items on the menu were unavailable and did not feel cared for as valued customers. Falafel appetizer was pretty good...However, the king mushroom steak entrée was absolutely fabulous and was one of the best dishes I have had in a while.
The owner did a very nice thing for my daughters school so I showed my appreciation by taking my wife there. Courteous and prompt, tasty and above the fray, I would do it again in a heartbeat.
Consistently consistent. Fun wait staff.
We recently revisited Blenheim and although we were always very pleased with the quality of the food and ambiance, I think that both the menu and the execution of cooking have reached new heights and levels of sophistication.
Among the appetizers I can heartily recommend the kale salad, the spaghetti squash carbonara and the outstanding seared octopus. For the main dish my husband and I split the pan roasted skate which was full of flavor but not greasy at all.
For dessert we chose the heavenly, light as a feather marzipan cake with a fruity middle and pale green icing, so delicate and absolutely delicious!
In the end, we were pleasantly full but not overstuffed :)
Thanks for a wonderful evening!
Overall, it’s not worth the money: overall okay food,no inside interior, but the key issue is value for money. It’s expensive, food is just okay, the fish I had was fine, but entree for $26-30 without any side is on the expensive side. Short rib my husband ordered was not good. My appetiser was tiny. The cauliflower side I ordered for my fish was too oily, but that’s for me.
The location is very nice though and the marzipan cake was delicious.
We loved Blenheim in the past, and this meal was every bit as good. It really stands out in this very restaurant-intensive neighborhood (Cafe Cluny, Beatrice Inn, Waverly Inn, Wallflower all with a block or 2) for it's QUIET atmosphere and commitment to local ingredients, most of them I think coming from there own farm. It is a little more expensive then we expected, but otherwise basically perfect.
I often recommend this to people looking for a West Village restaurant to take European guests to, because its' informal elegance and careful service feels more in keeping with European higher-end restaurants. And to repeat, it's quiet!
We arrived roughly 5 minutes later than the reservation with open table. The hostess stated she didn’t know where or how I made the reservation I replied through open table. She said well we’re closed until 4 since you’re late. She was eating herself!! Awful customer service go across the street to cafe cluny so good!!!!
Excellent food perfectly prepared and presented. The service was excellent. I can't recommend the restaurant highly enough. We had a wonderful evening.
A well designed menu using ingredients from their farm. Everything was prepared extremely well.
We had an amazing dinner. The food was unique & the staff was very friendly!
Food was very good and our server very friendly and helpful. However the huge wait time to get the food once ordered was ridiculous. Arrived 11:35am ordered 11:45. Food arrived 12:25.
Lovely food that was beautifully presented. The wine list was great and we tried some very nice cocktails too.
Very good food. But service and staffing is troublesome. Host is less then welcoming. I don’t usually make style statements but wearing a widebrimmed hat as a host sends the message that you want to hide from customers and it’s off putting. Server was friendly but incompetent. Really long waits between courses. He then forgot about our appetizer (luckily the delicious snacks of cauliflower and Brussel sprouts were delicious and hit the spot). Then another inexplicably long wait for our entrees. And a really long wait for our dessert menus by which point, three hours later, we were ready to go home. It was almost like there was a giant room we didn’t see that required constant attention because there wasn’t any being given to our area. Strange way to run a restaurant where the kitchen obviously has skill, talent and ambition. I was glad my guests didn’t seem to notice but as the local host, it was embarrassing.
We had the most wonderful dining experience. Our server, Ahad, was absolutely amazing!! A true gem!! I have dietary restrictions and the chef was so accommodating and created the most delicious meal for me. We will definitely be back!!
