   Last visit was for Christmas Goose, it was quiet and food was great. This time is was excessively loud due to a group of over 20 seated at a group of tables that ran the length of the restuarant. I can't really blame the restuarant for accomandating a large group, I just should have left and found a quieter location. Both of our entrees were very salty, they were German dishes, but still way to salty. Service was outstanding. I'll go back, but will avoid when there is a big group.

   I am not really into this type of food, heavy on the carbs. But ok for what it is. Good beer though.

   great service, good food though smallish portions, wine list needs bottles starting well below the $42 level.

   Before coming to Blaue Gans, I've never had German cuisine. Coming from a European background, I was expecting to see similar dishes with twists. To my surprise I discovered new, unheard of, and delicious food! Food was great, although there could have been more choice. Don't pass up on dessert, it was PHENOMENAL! Our waitress Olga was very pleasant and offered us help in choosing the right dish for us. I was expecting the setting to be a bit more German and was dissatisfied to discover very New York wallpapers surround the entire restaurant. Overall we enjoyed our dinner very much and would definitely come back!

   Always great food and beer. Schnotzels are always great as are the wurst and Liptauer cheese. The special this evening was venison goulash which was excellent. Great bread and pretzels as well.

   Everything was terrific from the food to the service. The interior of the restaurant was great also and added to the experience. Will come back again on another trip to New York.

   I was invited to Blaue Gans for some friends' anniversary dinner. The food was terrific, the cocktails delicious, the staff helpful and very good at their jobs. So when it was time for my birthday later in the month, I invited folks to celebrate with me at Blaue Gans. They loved it, including a discerning German!

    Schnitzel on the brunch menu was really good-served piping hot with a crispy breading and tender meat. Desserts were very good though expensive. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Nice beer list.
