We love Blade's Bistro and have introduced many of our friends since we were introduced by friends years ago. It is an intimate setting - definitely a casual neighborhood feel...and the food is an added bonus! Outdoor dining is lovely if the weather cooperates, but an "intimate" feel, nonetheless. From the north valley (Los Ranchos) it was less than a 20 minute drive (less than it takes to get to Montgomery and Juan Tabo in Albuquerque.

2 newer items on the Brunch menu were innovative and very tasty- Sandia Stack- the best with green chile, hash browns and poached eggs and the Copenhagen Benedict- salmon with Eggs Benedict. What a meal to end the year with!!

We had a lovely dinner and date night. The mussels as a appetizer were delicious, as were the burgers we had for our main course. We enjoyed casual ambience and will return in the future.

Blades' is a hidden gem...my Wife and I had brunch on Christmas Eve, and they did not disappoint. Service was outstanding, hollandaise sauce was perfect. We will be back!

We recently moved to New Mexico and although the southwest food here is wonderful we were delighted to find a nice French type bistro close to our home on Bernalillo. It is very similar to our favorite restaurant in Washington state. I had the mussels appetizer (fresh and delicious) and my husband had the brussel sprouts. We both had a seafood pasta dish, which is a specialty at Blades. It was creamy with lots of yummy shellfish. We didn’t leave a bit on our plate. We shared the chocolate sampler. Also wonderful and perfect for two. The wine list wasn’t extensive but had a nice variety. The service was good but our waitperson seemed a bit harried. Can’t wait to return!
