My friends and I enjoyed everything! I will be back!
Me and my mother went up to the food area for a second round to grab a waffle and fruit and come back to the entire table cleared. Plates, silverware, fresh cup of coffee, mimosa and personal belongings. Server walked right past us when he saw what happened. We spoke to manager and he pushed blame back on the server. One new mimosa came out 15 minutes later. We had to ask for a new coffee and had to hunt them down for 20 minutes after that to get sugar.
Teron, Server and Quentin “Q”, Manager was AWFUL with accommodating. We asked for “Jeremy” General Manager to come out but “Quentin” pretended as if he was the GM. How sneaky!!!!
I understand restaurants and people make mistakes but...it’s all about how you make it right.
People need to take some courses in customer service/service recovery and or leave the service industry.
As expected, we enjoyed our meal, the service and the entertainment was wonderful!
One of the best brunch I have ever been to. The atmosphere was so relaxing
I've visited this location several times and have yet to be disappointed.
Reservation for 1 (yes 1) was at 715, arrived at 722 (old town parking is horrible) but within the 15 minute grace period. Hostess says she’s going to have to put me at the bottom of the 730 reservations (?) and it would be a 30 minute wait. I didn’t question it and just went and had a seat. I waited until 8pm still no update. So I went inside and asked where am I at on the wait list. The hostess catches an attitude and said “wait let me check the back patio.” She disappeared for almost 10 minutes. She comes back in, walks right pass me and goes to the front patio. Another 5 minutes goes by until I walk out and ask her what’s going on. She says (rudely) we’re going to put you on the front patio. I feel like they forgot all about me and then acted rudely as if I was inconveniencing them. I did not get seated until 839! My waitress was good and the food was ok, yet overpriced.
The service here is terrible. You’ll wait 25+ mins for just water, years for your cocktails and eons for your entree—even if you order salad. The riverfront views are the only reason to frequent BWH and there are plenty other restaurants with better food, service, and the same views.
When my boyfriend I arrived on our anniversary date the atmosphere was very pleasant and noise level was moderate. We had a 4’o clock reservation on Saturday 7/31. We were sat on the front patio. Once sat the server greeted our table and stated he’s the only working the front and he’ll be right with us (ok understandable). He returned started explaining some of the items that we had questions about on the menu then took our food and drink order. After the food arrive everything begin to go down hill because the wait was absolutely ridiculous for any of the food except the fries. Once the food arrived we waited longer for items we requested along with drinks. The manager on duty greeted our table and tried her best to assist to help our date and first time visiting great. However, the server showed signs of being overwhelmed or exhausted as he took 20 minutes to return with our check while picking up drinks and placing orders for his other tables. Once he returned with our check we asked what took so long when he stated he’ll be right back. In which he replied “I am the only one working the front”. That is an unexceptional excuse for the amount people spend to enjoy a nice meal in a perfect area. I am glad I tried this place but I will not return.
Plates were dirty, wine glasses dirty. Food was decent. Server was polite, Ambiance was great.
An excellent menu, offering soup to nuts. The food is very well prepared, sane portions, it arrives Hot (very important) or Cold (equally important), as it should. Nothing tepid or underdone. The service was better than excellent.... a very nice wait staff. Overall, a good experience.
Our server Justin was wonderful, enthusiastic, and attentive! Thanks.
Daily special was excellent. Staff was friendly and well informed. First time visit.
I was disappointed in the food. We had three different entrees and no one was really satisfied with the food. Ambience and service was good. Mentioned we were there for a birthday dinner and not even a happy birthday was expressed. Maybe a bad night.
We have dined here numerous times over the past few years. Our experience last night was disappointing at best. The portions were extremely small -- the risotto (with two shrimps and two scallops on top) and crab dip in particular. The hot dishes were not hot, barely lukewarm. The only high point was our server. A $150 dinner for three and one expects more.
The majority of the food was very good. I ordered the Brussel sprout appetizer and was disappointed.
Servicer took longer than normal to get to our table but made up for it once he came to our table.
Will definitely return again.
Risotto was too salty.
Food was well plated but arrived warm not hot, which does not bode well for the meal. While the flavors were good, the Crab was under represented in both the Crab Cake and salad. The salad was sparse and very over priced for the amount received. The deserts were fine but the service was slow and the scoop of ice cream that I was supposed to receive arrived mostly melted and all over the plate.
Fabulous experience! The food was great and the atmosphere is beautiful. Sunday brunch had a jazz band which just made the ambiance even better. The service was excellent!
Food was great!! Live music was awesome!!
No handicapped access very noisy enjoyed the view
The food that we received was very good. Unfortunately, the kitchen was horrible with expediting the orders. We waited so long for food, I cancelled the order . The waiter was very apologetic and accommodating .
Quality of food was mediocre. Better quality for money elsewhere.
We had a mid-afternoon reservation Friday; the restaurant had very few patrons but several wait staff standing around. We were seated for over ten minutes before a wait person came over and asked if we wanted sparkling water. After another ten minutes, the wait person took a bill to another table, smiled at me and walked off. My partner walked around the restaurant looking for a pitcher of water or anyone who was not on their phone. After another ten minutes and zero service, we got up and walked out. For so few patrons, and several wait staff standing around, we were also shocked at how unclean the floors and tables were. Very disappointing since this reservation was for a birthday celebration.
Food was great server was okay.
Food was good. Service was great. Weather was nice to sit outside. Overall great experience
We had a great waiter and she made sure we had everything we needed.
Noise level wasn't "energetic" -- it's TOO LOUD. It should be possible to have a normal conversation without having to fight against the loud speakers. Also, when the "music" you program is just "boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.....etc." it really detracts from the food, the service, and everything else that makes a restaurant an enjoyable experience. It wasn't exceptional, by US standards -- but nearly all US restaurants are too loud, which is what destroys the experience and why I eat out when in Europe, but not in the US when I can avoid it. Be a thought leader! Be Bold! Think DIFFERENT! (and be quiet......). :) Thanks for asking.
Food was mediocre
Excellent brunch spot. Food is fairly generic -- omelet station, carving station, raw bar, salad station, but servers are friendly and the crowd is fun. Musician was too loud and allowed off key singing which detracted from the dining experience. Hostess was inexperienced and took forever to find my Open table reservation. I suggest that Blackwall Hitch have more seasoned staff handle the Sunday Brunch rush.
Always a great time. Busy but organized. Lots of food safety measures are in place and adhered to;) Customer service is always good and with a smile. Several thingsngoing on at once but we were able to enjoy our conversations and still enjoy the music:) I've been coming there since they opened and is ALWAYS on my list of recommendations for ANY meal. Brunch or weekday dinner. Even your indoor dining has a great view just as well as outdoors:)
The restaurant is nice we have been coming for years for brunch the obvious is great the food is good but it’s a little pricey for a group of three we spent $270 drinks are really expensive but overall everything was nice I waiter was nice as well
The food was horrible and cold!!!!!!! Clearly there is a new chef and the food is no longer of the quality that I experienced prior to the Covid-19 crisis and shut down. This is my first time returning in over a year and I won’t be returning!!!!!
This was a very good place for a first date. The food was amazing.
I just love this place. Everything about it is good.
Service was slow. Food was great. Blueberry mules are mostly ginger beer. Place was very loud.
Food was great and great drinks
Food was fairly disappointing based on reviews
Justin was our Server and he was fantastic. friendly, attention to detail, great recommendations. The noise level was awful - I could not hear the colleagues on other side of table. I will only sit out side in the future or have to go elsewhere.
The food was terrible and extremely overpriced. I don’t mind paying high prices for high quality food but the fish was dried out and my friends salad was a pile of lettuce with some cold crab on top. Not good at all - won’t return.
