Blackstone Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
Several visits to the bar and restaurant over the past few years. Bar service is excellent, table service is professional but slow. Too much chatter amongst themselves. The food is consistently very good- love the salads and sushi. Plan to return on my next trip.
We have had dinner at this location many times before and its other locations which are basically the same menu and pricing only under different names. I don't know if the major chain steak houses upped their game but the steaks here were not great, when you pay over $50 dollars for a piece of meat it should be excellent not just OK! The sushi also is nothing out of the ordinary, they even made a mistake with one of the orders and doubled it.
We went for an early New Years dinner and had a reservation. Restaurant was empty and they wanted to seat us in front of the kitchen door. They did move us but i was a bit annoyed at this. Sushi was excellent , my husbands loved his steak but my sons steak was under cooked and he didn’t want to eat it. My fish was terrible. Couldn’t eat it.
I frequently set up and attend Blackstones for business lunches/dinners/meetings as well as Rare.
Since this was a special event and my family and I were recently at Rare I decided to choose Blackstones. I was extremely disappointed I the overall experience ranging from the set up of the external dining, the lack of communication between the several wait staff we had to the food. I was beyond surprised at this and also embarrassed. I know the holiday season makes for busy and stressful working conditions but the area we were in was not overly crowded. Regardless, the expectations for the simple celebration we were having combined with the poor service, not up to the normal blackstones standards of food quality, for the expense of our meals was extremely disappointing on top of the whole point of the gathering being my godsons birthday celebration.
This is one of my favorite restaurants. Unfortunately I was not as happy with my rib steak as I expected to be Apps were awesome. My martini was perfect. Patio was way too drafty. Even after waiter noticed and offered to make it warmer. One the whole - a so so experience.
Christmas Eve a special dining night. We were greeted and seated. The sommelier selected a delicious bottle of wine which paired perfectly with our steaks. Rib eye on the bone for two cooked to perfection. Another selection was the surf and turf consisting of a perfectly cooked filet paired with a lobster tail. Starters were cold, fresh crisp oysters and bacon appetizer.
Everyone enjoyed their food. Highly recommend.
Service was terrible. They apparently were more interested in quantity of tables flipped for Christmas Eve then service. They got our order wrong. No appolgies, or any attemp to compensate. I practically had to beg for drinks. Even the waiter and waitress were unattentive. Even with all the staff i had to tell them to clear used plates. For such a highly rated and expensive restaurant the experience was less then thatvof eating at a bad diner.
Food was sent back twice (3 steaks were suppose to be medium well and they were rare, the restaurant is a STEAKHOUSE), staff was rude, email was sent to Blackstone with no reply. Christmas Eve dinner was suppose to be fun, joyous, and enjoyable. My family will not be returning. Extremely disappointed. We go to Rare650 often and was hoping for a similar experience.
I left a 200 tip and then went to the bar for a night cap, rather then order coffee and dessert at the table. I was taken back when the head waitress found me at the bar, walked up and questioned my tip and asked if I was unhappy with my service???
I felt horrible, as if I hadn't tipped enough. I asked if I had tipped to little and she said "yeah, a little".
I usually tip a solid 20% everywhere I go. the prices are triple here then anywhere else, the bill was 1,500 for 9 people. I knew it was going to be expensive when I made my reservations, no surprise. I just couldn't see giving a 300 tip on top of that bill, I thought 200 for the work performed was absolutely plenty.
My apologizes if I offended anyone.
We got married Friday....went there with this explained on open table. The hostess said congratulations. Neither waiter John and John said anything at all! No congrats...Not even a free drink. We go here regularly so we were kinda surprised by this. We even got better recognition of this at the dry cleaners! Everything else was in line as if it was a regular night going there
