    We live in Anaya. & when we come to DC, BlackSalt is the only place we dine. Jim is always a pleasure. It was great to also meet Andrea. She was a joy. Great service, knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, she treated us like we were in her own dining room. Can’t get any better than that! We look forward to seeing Jim and Andrea on our next visit.

    Everything we had was excellent. My wife got the black cod special and I got the seared tuna. We were both very pleased. Service was also outstanding. Will definitely return and highly recommend.

    Had a great dinner at BlackSalt. Service was wonderful. Kenny took good care of us. Raspberry gin cocktail was really bright and refreshing. Glad to see more mocktails on the menu too, which we also enjoyed. Disappointed they didn't have softshells that night. But seared tuna (blue - as Kenny recommended) with lobster dashi and udon was delicious! Salmon and tuna poke bowl and black cod also good. Chocolate peanut butter bomb almost as good as the chocolate peanut butter pie they used to have with the caramelized bananas. Wish they'd bring that back. But bomb was very good - even had the peanut brittle.

    Wanted to order mussels similarly prepared to moules mariniere and waiter said they could do it but what he delivered was nothing like French prepared moules. Also ordered grilled calamari and it had so much sauce you could not taste the calamari. I doubt we will be back.

    By our standards, this is very expensive. But still our favorite place for very special occasions. Top quality food, lovely ambience and unmatched service.
