Both hosts and waiters were very nice and accommodating as everything went smooth.
It was ok. The service was odd. They brought out my soup before my wife’s drink, our meals came out separately, same with dessert. Not terrible but not fine dining. Food was above average. I’d go again but not for a special occasion.
First time. Really enjoyed it. Very loud though.
Had the scallops and pork chop and we liked both entrees. Nice ambiance and service. Would return again .
Loved the Sunday brunch menu. Salmon avocado was amazing!
Nice ambiance and service! Brussels sprouts are excellent!
BHG has had its problems from time to time - iffy food, dodgy service. On Feb 18, 2020 they were very dialed in. Food was excellent, service was a welcome compliment.
Service was great same as the food.
The waiter forgot too many things. And, we had to ask each time. Menu was basic not very many choices . It was not busy that nite. We looked forward to a good meal was a little disappointing. Our waiter was good he tried, but, felt it took away from our evening.
My wife and I were treated to a Prix Fixe menu for Valentines Day. I was able to get a reservation on Valentines Day, which seemed to be impossible everywhere else. I have always enjoyed the food and service at the Blackhawk Grille and Valentines Day was no exception. The restaurant was full and you would not have realized it based on the service, exceptional.
The Prix Fixe menu was a something I initially thought would be less than ideal. However, the appetizer, main course and desserts were all five star worthy.
We enjoyed Bacon wrapped shrimp and corn salsa appetizers. Filet Mignon and Shrimp entree’s. And finally Red Velvet Cake and, my new favorite, Butter Cake for dessert.
Exceptional service from the moment my husband and I walked in. clean and very warm environment. Food presentation and taste was awesome! We will be back Thank you!
Servere Serah was outstanding. It was nice dinner was a little pricey. Will have to go back and and try when its not a prix fixe menu.
We loved our Valentines/birthday dinner! The food was amazing and they set up my fiancé’s dessert for his bday. Our waitress was really nice and attentive. We also enjoyed the fact that we were put in the room towards the back so it was a more quiet environment.
We can’t wait to go back!
Slow service. Had to ask for bread. Mediocre food. Low quality meat.
Excellent food and service! The ambiance was wonderful .
Food was good but I was disappointed that I was not able to order additional items from the regular dinner menu.
Excellent Chop Salad for lunch. Service very responsive.
We had Shelly for our server and she was very attentive and professional. Thumbs up for her!
Very nice relaxing dinner, no issues to report
The food was delicious! Two in my party had the ahi tuna salad, one had the pulled pork sandwich and the last one had the flat bread with prosciutto and arugula. Everyone loved their choice! We had the skillet chocolate chip cookie with ice cream. It was warm and wonderful.
Great service excellent food. Friday night a little noisy from the car area. Will return
Great management, service and location. Was a local favorite of ours for years. Great for a date night, a bit noisy for business but well worth a visit.
its good for a date night. Not very good value though.
The young lady that seated us was great and very nice to us. Unfortunately it got bad from there and I dont know how to word it. We tried to sit outside and a bunch of girls doing their sweet 16 came out and made it unbearable to even hear the person next to you speaking. So we came inside and were seated. As it turned out so did the posse of obnoxiously loud 16 year olds and the dining experience was loud and obtrusive. Their parents being there made it worse as I would expect them to quiet them down. I would like to see the restaurant have a member of management step up to quiet that loud noise down. These girls were screaming at the top of their lungs and disturbing everyone. I wish Blackhawk Grille would have shut that down.
great food service ok drink first weak 2nd much better
Not busy the night we went (Thursday). Waiter and servers very attentive. Had drinks, dinner and dessert. Will most likely go again.
Fantastic evening thanks to the phenomenal staff that took care of us from start to finish. We had a private dining room experience in the oak room and we could not be happier. Great place for groups and private party’s. Our event planner worked seamlessly with the Blackhawk Grille staff to creat a magical and memorable evening for our party. Highly recommend the Blackhawk Grille to anyone And everyone
Scallops were fabulous-
They were very attentive to our party of 7 that included 2 children under 6
I had Lunch with my Fraternity Brothers and SororitySisters we were celebrating Our Founders Day and the
Centennial for Zeta Phi Beta Sorority. The food and Service was Par Excellence.
Great staff, very professional. This time the food didn’t match the service. Way too much salt on everything. Also they never carry dark beer selections.
We enjoyed a Sunday lunch at Blackhawk Grille. It was an enjoyable time as the restaurant wasn’t too busy. My husband had the chicken sandwich and I had the pulled pork, both very good. The service was perfect with both the hostess and the server. We have been going to Blackhawk Grille for some time and will be returning.
It’s a nice restaurant. I went there for a birthday dinner celebration with family. Great service and good kid’s menu. We got a few complimentary birthday desserts! Enjoyed it there.
The special was halibut that was over-cooked. The risotto and asparagus was superb as was the clam chowder. Good as they were, the halibut spoiled the experience.
Great happy hour!
I enjoyed the food and service. It’s been awhile since we’ve eaten here as the past two times the service and food was bad. We recently decided to try again and was pleasantly pleased. We will come back.
We have been going to Blackhawk Grille for New Year’s Eve for almost 3-4 years. The restaurant is local so no need to drive too far. Our party was seated 15 minutes after our arrival. Price fix menu for the evening and we all ordered the surf and turf. Waitress came back and advised the lobster was sold out and would be substituted with a crab leg. It’s only 7:45 pm. Why didn’t they have extra lobsters for New Year’s eve ? Noticed a group of four seated 20 minutes after we were seated and they were served the surf and turf with lobster. We questioned our waitress about it and she said she only did what she was told.
Our waitress was not in a happy disposition during our meal.
Disappointing experience. Maybe try another restaurant next New Year.
Great New years eve dinner this year. We have been here off and on for New years Eve and it's been good and ok. It was great this year. Great selection, quality and quantity!
