Blackfish at Tulalip Resort Casino Ratings and Reviews
Blackfish is one of our favorite restaurants. There is a wide variety of seafood to choose from as well as a list to choose from in how you would like it cooked. In addition, you have a choice of sauces and a choice of two sides. We always have a good meal at Blackfish.
This was a special family gathering, including several birthday celebrations. Everything was great except the price. The raw oysters were very small and at $3.00 US each very expensive. The pan fried oysters were under cooked. But all in all our experience was good.
First time at this restaurant. Was excellent from appetizers of crab cakes to bread basket with several flavored butters to entrees of Seared Scallops and their Seafood Bowl Of Bounty. Complimentary chocolate dessert to help celebrate our anniversary dinner. My flavor buds still anxious for our next visit there. Highly recommend this establishment. Waitress and sommelier were very attentive yet in the background. They were all very well trained and it shows
The food was good. Steak was delicious and potatoes were great too. The waitress was pleasant and attentive. The male Hostess seemed put out and sour faced when my elderly parents asked to be moved to an available table instead of the tight booth they originally requested. Very bad behavior from someone whose job it is the greet patrons and leave first impression.
late new years eve dinner. ordered the salmon and it was over cooked (dry). I guess since it was near midnight they didn't want to cook another salmon. the piece they served me look like it had been sitting around awhile. Unusual for this restaurant to compromise on food or service. Service was great my wife's steak was excellent my salmon was terrible. Didn't complain not my style.
My food was not cooked right. Brussels sprouts and potatoes were rock hard. They also serve these odd giant crackers that just seem cheap and out of place for a restaurant that is supposed to be upscale. The atmosphere was great. They have a window where you can see your food being cooked which is awesome.
This was our first visit and overall it is an excellent restaurant. The staff was friendly and responsive, our waitress checked in often and made sure everything was great. The food was simply amazing. My husband had the New York steak and I had the Pacific NW Bounty Bowl and I'd come back for those two items again and again even though the rest of the menu looks just as good. The prices are high, but for the quality of the food it is worth it. We did go for a special occasion (birthday) and they brought out a little chocolate cake at the end which was very thoughtful. The only thing we didn't care for was the noise level. It is in a casino and we were seated as far back from the casino as possible and it was still very hard to hear each other.
Service was terrible, waitress never checked on how our food was. Requested fresh pepper never came back, a guest of mine wanted steak sauce took like 10 mins and a different waiter to finally get the sauce. Our waitress kept on complaining that it was busy but the place seemed dead. Plus we were there before the folks came in. Had to ask multiple times to refill our water. Just a complete disaster of eating there and WILL NEVER BE BACK!
We were looking forward to a great Christmas Day dinner as we have enjoyed this venue before. The service was great but one of our two entrees was not. I had the holiday lamb chop special which was outstanding. The medium rare lamb was extremely tender and the red wine flight was an excellent value at $10. The problem was my wife's pistachio crusted Alaska cod. Instead of a nice flakey white fish, it was actually mushy with very little taste. A complete turn off. We are not ready to write this place off but will not be reluctant to send back a meal like the cod next time.
We were shown to our table without having to wait at the time of our scheduled reservation.
The food suggestions were wonderful which our extremely friendly and knowledgeable waitress recommended...from the wine recommendations, to the oyster appetizer choices, and finally the main course, we were treated to a wonderful dinner meal on Christmas Day.....and at the end, the price was extremely reasonable for the quality of the food and drink we enjoyed.
Started out great had a 5:15 reservation on Christmas day and was able to get our table 10 minutes early. Went down hill from there. The restaurant was not crowded, but still took almost an hour for 2 filets, one crab legs and one soup, which all arrived at our table luke warm. Would not recommend this place as the price's are over inflated and the food in not worth the prices charged!
Food was ok. Quality was similar to that of a chain steakhouse. Noise level was quite loud. Service was subpar. Don’t you dare ask for your potatoes a different way! There are NO substitutions. Servers should be trained to know that sautéed in no way means pan seared. You can google that on Cook’s Illustrated if you like.
I brought my partner there for her birthday, put it on the reservation. I expected something,no enquiries about what was the occasion. Oh well,we don't have to return. Food was good, let the server talk me into chefs ' way of prepping.
I should have had it the way I wanted it.
I would not and currently will not recommended this place to anyone. I had the New York steak and my wife had the Tenderloin and we were both disappointed. I would think at least one of those steaks would have been a hit but no - a strike out. It was Thanksgiving so we were hoping for a great meal. Next time I'll deal with the traffic and go downtown to Daniels or the Met where I know I can get a good steak for the money.
Special occasion with 4 of us. Service was very slow- from getting water to menus, to drinks, to the food. 2 large tables around us had no problems with their service from the same waitress. for the price we paid you should have more servers to ensure the smaller 'lesser value' tables are as closely attended as the larger 'big value' tables. The food itself was mediocre and not the level I was expecting based on previous experience. I was disappointed as we had dined here before with better service and far better quality of food.
I've enjoyed Blackfish more before. This time the sound seemed to be too loud, and the service less relaxed or as attentive as the times before this visit. The food was still good but I wish I had stayed with my favorite: lobster mac & cheese. Not the little salmon bites I had. However, thank you for the Birthday dessert treat.
