Blackfish at Tulalip Resort Casino
We went here to celebrate launching our business. The cool, inviting, and ambient environment was perfect. The service was on point from the shrimp fritters to the congratulatory cake and the flower. We both loved it so much and cant wait to do it again.
This was probably about 5th time we’ve been there. Food has always been excellent. Menu could use more selection of ways to cook oyster and fish dishes. It would be fun to have customer seating looking into window by fire grill. We’ve walked over to watch them cook and have been to other restaurants that allow you to watch the chefs. Overall it’s one of our favorite restaurants.
I have gone to Blackfish a few times before and it has always been excellent, although we haven’t been there for a couple years, but this time was pretty terrible. Both me and my wife didn’t enjoy it this time. Our server wasn’t very good and the food was terrible. We barely ate it. Maybe because it was a slow night they sent the good staff home, I don’t know. We most likely will not go back.
Wait staff was great. Food was outstanding. Highly recommend.
great server, great food highly recommend it. Non one in our party had an issue and all loved their food choice
The food was excellent but the service was a little slow for the size of the restaurant. The only thing that would keep us from going back would be the noise level. For such a small venue the noise level was almost intolerable. My husband had to take his hearing aids out to enjoy the evening.
Delicious food, excellent service, always a nice night out, but quite noisy. Happy noises, but pretty loud when busy.
Sparse service, my new York was ordered medium, the blood came out and Risotto got ruined. Lobster salad was good, but immediately upset my stomach. The Filet was ordered medium well, specifically pink in middle. Bloody. we were used to Tulalip Bay next door, it's closed, but the only thing that resembles Tulalip Bay are the prices. Sad
New Year’s Eve. Seated promptly. Great waitress. Excellent food. Only problem the tuna was cold and not room temp but they heated it more for me and then it was room temp. First time i ever did that here. They were serving Ahi tonight. Last time they had sea bass which was perfect.
great food, great service, but very very slow and loud!
One of our favorite restaurants in the greater Seattle area. Always great food and great service!
Good food. Good wine list. Excellent Caesar salad.
Food and service were great. Noise level was a problem.
Never been disappointed, however the lobster was a waste of $48! Stick with the local seafood or beef.
Nice restaurant. A little on the spendy side for what you get, however the flavors were delicious.
2018 we decided to dine out for Christmas Dinner and selected Blackfish. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent!
The lobster salad was great. King Salmon was good also.
The wait staff was superb. Gave us time to ponder menu, suggested some choices. Always checking to make sure we were happy or needed anything. Food was delicious!! Loved it
The food and service is great I go every year for my birthday.
The food is always good but this trip we found a wine that was excellent. Uno Malbec.
You have to walk through the smog & sadness of the casino to get there, but it's actually worth the trip. The menu is fantastic & the wine expert was extremely helpful. They helped us celebrate our marriage milestone with class. We'll be back.
Great food and service !! Love this restaurant.
The glitches: service both front and back are lacking, waited 20 minutes to get a table, server wasn’t too helpful with suggestions
My Husband and I have been here before several times. It was our 29th Anniversary. We have been to the Blackfish in a small group and a large party too. The food and service is always wonderful. My Husband is a big Oyster fan and loves being able to chose his Oysters. I have always enjoyed the Atmosphere. It was rather loud the night we were there. We where seated out in the middle by a very large party. Still We enjoyed our night out. The Food and service were top notch. Thank you for the lovely desert.
Very good food and service but they did not have our reservation we showed them the confirmation and the got us in for our 57th anniversary thank goodness. Flaw in your system?
Always great food and outstanding service.
Everytime I have been there the food was excellent and our waitress has always been very helpful.
Good food so I always go back but it is very loud in there and hard to have a conversation. The food, appetizers and all are never served at the same time. Some people are mid eating before others get their meal. For the price this shouldn't be like that.
As usual, everything was wonderful. The price seems to have increased with no options for smaller steaks than 14oz. Not all patrons want a huge serving.
Usually love the restaurant but this time, the food was Mediocre. I had the lobster salad and it was good and large scallops were on point but the king and Dungeness crabs were lacking. Frozen? Neither were that good. Maybe next time?
Thanksgiving dinner was superb. We were all very impressed with the food and service. We will return.
We’ve been here many times over the years and foolishly hope it will get better. It hasn’t. Unfortunately, the past four times we’ve been here, including two days ago, we encounter the same problems - too dark to see your food, too loud to hold a conversation, mediocre menu, and poor food preparation. At our last two visits, the filet mignon - ordered “medium” - was brought to the table barely warm on the outside and cold and completely purple on the inside. Sending it back twice didn’t improve the cooking and resulted in us leaving without having been able to eat the steaks.
The service is pretty good as long as you have a reservation. The booths are in such bad shape that when the person in the booth behind you sits down, you literally are boosted off your seat like a teeter totter hitting the ground. Sitting at a table isn’t any better. There are so many tables jammed in the space, that you’re constantly jostled by guests and staff. I’ve seen many drinks spilled and food dropped as diner’s are bumped and shoved.
We’re likely not to return to Blackfish, but will continue to dine at other Tulalip restaurants. The food seems to be the same at all of the restaurants, but costs more depending on the restaurant you choose.
Blackfish has never disappointed me and this was their same outstanding meal and service. I ordered the French onion soup and New York strip. The soup was hearty, flavorful and with plenty of cheese. It could have been a meal in itself. The steaks were cooked to perfection paired with black fishes take on potatoes au gratin, which are wrapped in a little filo packet. Service was excellent as well. It’s not a budget restaurant, expect to pay an average of about 60 per person, but well worth it.
Very good - will return! The ambiance was classy and ethnic. The air was properly vented so it didn’t stink like the rest of the casino. Our appetizer, entrees and deserts were very good.
Great as always...great food, great service!!
Loved it! Quality has been high for a long time.
Food is fantastic, service was good. The only complaint is that it is so noisy. It’s dark like it would have a quiet ambiance but unfortunately not.
This was my second time at this restaurant and much nicer than my first experience. Go early as the place was very noisy the first time.
Make sure you “reserve” a booth if you want one. We didn’t reserve a booth and they didn’t let us wait for one so we sat in the center, next to an extremely loud party that was doing wine tasting. We had to yell across the table at each other the whole time to even hear what each other was saying. Several tables who sat and ordered after us got their food first. Wait for food was about 45 minutes and the server checked on us for drinks maybe once - I had to flag her down for another glass of wine. Food was great though, when it finally came!
Wonderful food. Will go back. Nice menu. Helpful servers.
