Although sparsely occupied noise level still loud. Oyster dinner was very disappointing, small and overlooked, veggies cool not hot.
Scallops were OK, halibut was excellent and combo was very acceptable.
Overall the food was marginal from what we would expect from a fairly expensive highly rated casino restaurant.

Aside from the high noise level, which can be easily resolved with proper "decorative" sound insulation, the Blackfish is a great restaurant for special dining.

salmon was over cooked
waitress seemed hurried not a dining experience to pair with the price
steak was fantastic but green beans were woody....not even a goodbye when we left but we decided to talk to the manager and she offered a appetizer...which was nice ....we never used it because we felt the experience was not nice

My wife wanted to go here for our anniversary and it was amazing. Service was phenomenal! The meal was the best one we've had in a while. We're definitely going to go back again.

We had our first experience with Blackfish Restaurant when having dinner there before attending a concert. We really enjoyed the food, which was fresh and flavorful. The service was excellent, professional yet friendly. I had made the reservation sometime back and therefor expected to have a nice table. Unfortunately having not been there before I did not know to request a booth, which I would have much preferred. We were seated at a table where we experienced much employee traffic throughout our meal. We are not used to smelling cigarette smoke at restaurants, which was a huge turn off for both my husband and myself. Although people don't smoke in the restaurant proper, they do smoke in the room adjacent, which happens to be the casino. If you don't mind the smell and you like the looks of the menu you won't be disappointed. Ask for a both unless you want to be in the middle of a lot of activity.

We chose this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. The decor was pleasant and the service was generally good, though it took a while for the waitress to realize my iced tea glass was empty and the restaurant wasn't that busy yet. I really liked the frybread - it was nice to try something different than the standard bread that most restaurants serve. I had looked at the menu on line and the dish that I wanted was no longer offered; not sure why a large recreational facility such as Tulalip Casino hasn't updated their website with the new menu. When our food arrived, the presentation looked appetizing. My veggies were corn fritters and creamed chard. The chard was really bland but the corn fritters were good. My husband's veggie was a cheddar potato "pie" which was way more cheddar than potato. For the price we paid for our meals, it would have been better to get tasty veggies. I have a player card for Tulalip which I use to get discounts at the restaurants, so it was good to get the 10% off, but overall, the cost of the meals were not worth their value. We tried Blackfish, and now we know we won't go back. We'll stick to the more affordable offerings at the Casino.

Good food, but pretty spendy (you’re not getting out of there for less than $100 for two people, BEFORE alcohol). There are better restaurants offering very similar PNW dishes and seafood in the area for the price. VERY LOUD, not exactly the place to go for an intimate meal. They do have some unique menu items, and a good regional nod to how they do things, but overall it would not be in my top 5 if I were to make a list of recs for someone.

Great service, inconsistent food. We enjoyed our dinner at Blackfish, but were a bit disappointed with one of our dinners. First, the good news: the “Heritage Salmon” was the best I’ve ever had - and I’m a total salmon snob. However, my wife’s scallops were disappointing - flavor was fine, but the texture was off putting. They seemed a bit “flabby,” not the soft, but firm texture that one would expect from high quality scallops.

The service was excellent. The sommelier was very helpful without being snooty. Our server, Julie was a gem. When we go back - and we will - we’ll ask for her again.

Had a fantastic dining experience at Blackfish. The food was exquisite, the server was wonderful explaining everything special of what we were ordering for example the different aoili dips, the infused butters, even some of the ingredients that were in our various dishes. We can’t wait to come back. A very special place to be sure.

While our server was very good, the food was lacking. My daughter had the salmon, it was over cooked and dry. 3 of us had the scallops, ALL of them had grit which made them not so pleasant to eat. I like a restaurant that doesn't have a lot of light but this one was a little too dark for me. The next time my family goes out for a special occasion we would probably think twice about going to Blackfish.

While the service was pretty good, the noise level was excruciatingly loud and constant. Tulalip needs to figure out how to deaden the sound of neighboring diners. Food was pricey but tasty.

Date night dinner. Little too dark. Rhonda, our server was great. Started with clams. They were good. Small but many. Parm crisps they start you with were bland, even with butter. Berry salad was delicious. Lots of greens, goat cheese and 3 kinds of berries. The crab cakes were soso. little dry, somewhat flavorless. The green apple "salad" that came with the cakes was a nice treat.
The Bounty bowl.... Lobster bisque (like a 1/2 cup in the bottom of the bowl) was rich, but very bland, the fingerling potatoes seem completely out of place, the white fish was good, the shrimp were cooked well and tasted good, and the clams/mussels were also fine. BUT the 5" section of king crab leg that was jammed in the center of the bowl was horrendous. First, it was precut,like from the processing plant and when I tried to crack it, it just squished (previously frozen and thawed for too long). When I did get to the meat, the smell of ammonia was very strong. We were compensated for my meal and offered something else, but my appetite was gone. We probably won't be back.

The service was great and the food was delicious. My husband had the filet and I had Salmon. The fish was fresh tasting. The atmosphere is also cozy.

My only complaint is it is pricy. I thinks it’s over priced for being located in the back of a smokey casino. They absolutely try to make it a high end restaurant, but when people wander in from the casino dressed very causal it brings down the rest of the restaurant. A dress code might be a good idea.

Food was good and well prepared. Overpriced, like all the casino restaurants are. Food took a long time to arrive even though it wasn't busy. Server didn't keep us informed as to why the delay was taking place. We had a nice time, but we would have like prompter service and better value.

This was our 2nd visit. The first time we really enjoyed the drinks and food though the restaurant was very dark and noisy. Having liked the food we decided to return. This time we went and it wasn't as loud but I wasn't impressed with the food. The drinks were outstanding but the food was sub par in my opinion. Last time I had the filet and this time switched to the King Salmon. Very disappointing. It just didn't taste fresh. The "Tillamook Cheddar Hash" is more an au gratin potato casserole. Not bad but not my favorite either despite loving anything Tillamook! It was more of the texture. My husband's green beans didn't seem cooked or steamed at all. Broccoli was great though! Exception being the Walla Walla onion soup and salmon chowder. Those were fantastic! Not sure if or when we'll return. It was very much a hit and miss kind of evening!

Late night dinner with my Sweetie.We eat here a lot. The last few times has been late evening and for some reason the kitchen has been very slow despite the restaurant being mostly empty. The ambiance is very nice but it gets very loud whenever there are large groups, which is almost always. Still worth the visit! The scallops are amazing as is the Prawn Mary. My Sweetie loves the oyster flight and because of that has discovered oysters she loves and would’ve never tried otherwise. The seasonal menu is fun. If you can’t decide then get the Bounty Bowl. It has a bit of everything.
