Blackfins at Captain Hiram's Resort
A local fixture, Blackfins at Capt Hiram’s offers Sebastian’s best riverfront dining. Grab a table on our riverfront deck for fresh seafood, including “catch of the day” specials and locally sourced plates. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, this is Sebastian’s favorite spot for delicious island-style favorites, including conch fritters, crab cakes, fish tacos and local saltwater peel n’ eat shrimp. Don’t miss the Dirty Oysters, a Capt Hiram’s signature featuring fresh-shucked oysters served with caviar, sour cream, onions and hot sauce.
Excellent choices. Reasonable with adequate portions. Good service and atmosphere.
It was our 40th anniversary, and not only was the food excellent, but our server Matt was outstanding. The only negative, the screens were up, as it was a beautiful day and when the dock light went on the bugs were attacking a few of us. Now that we know that we will make sure we do not sit near the light again. Overall it was a very nice night. Thank you Matt.
Very good service, selection, food, and reasonable price. What more can or needs to be said.
Great spot with our big family group.
Glad to see this local favorite back on track. The newly revised menu is a welcome change. We really enjoyed the specials. Service was excellent last night- from the hostess table to the manager.
Went for Christmas dinner 6pm reservation already out of 1 dinner special veggies subbed cream corn and both desserts that were advertised . was a little disappointed. Had gone the night before ordered from regular menu was better.
Food was good. Service was ok. Cool spot
We went there for Christmas dinner and our check was $300 which we were expecting to pay for a good dinner but the food was just awful and our waitress was the absolute rudest person ever, I bit my tongue through the entire dinner and still left a 20% tip because it was Christmas! Out of 10 people not one person wanted a To-go box and not one person left happy and to top it off the 4 people that had the snapper were running for the restrooms, so no I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone and this is the first time I have ever left a bad review for anything! Run!
We came at 4 we had reservations. Three people wanted scallops wrapped in bacon (who could pass that up and then they all wanted carrot cake and both items were out. Poor planning on your part.
Awesome stay! Thank you! What a wonderful time and awesome view!
My wife and I had a very enjoyable dinner on Christmas day. The food was great, the service was great and with lots of happy faces and smiles.Would do it again.
Great Christmas Day luncheon. Perfect service and great seafood at reasonable prices.
Not what expected. Disappointed with visit. Very limited menu offerings. Not much seafood available for a “seafood” restaurant. Skimpy portions. Food served “luke warm” not “hot”. Server inattentive. Pricy. Limited parking available.
Birthday. Asked for a candle in dessert on the reservation & on the phone with hostess when confirming yet no candle.
Love this place ... We drive down from Melbourne from time to time to enjoy the great atmosphere, food and service. Also bring visitors here to show why it is unique living here.
Perfection for a fun, delicious, truly Floridian meal and with a view to die for! We LOVE this place!
Came in for Thanksgiving dinner.. Waitress didn't seem to be very happy working on the Holiday.. Service was a little slow and forgot items that we asked for.. Had to get someone else to get them.. It was our first time trying the restaurant and overall it was a good experience.
We we’re 5 and 1 got the catch of the day and fish was very mushy. 1 got the seafood Paella it was like rice that they just thought some seafood into the theCalamari were like rubber bands
Love the atmosphere. Family friendly. Menu could be a little bigger. Have more seafood selections. Will visit again.
We reserved a table at window and didn’t get it. The food is mostly fried and you should offer more veggies instead of two starches
I had a good time here. The waitress was a hoot and the food was pretty good. Nice water front dining atmosphere
Attendant brought us to table. We had asked for window seating, but even though there were a few open the attendant said they “weren’t clean.” Also, folks were not meeting the dress code- yuck.
Came here with family. Sat at table by water. Beautiful views. Shared a couple appetizers, everything was very good. 5 people at table and everybody had something different for an entree, and everybody was happy with their choice.
We were looking for a waterfront seafood restaurant for dinner. It was a nice waterfront location and our table was cozy. The booth benches are connected and the person behind me kept shifting in his chair and was bouncing all around. The conch fritter were delicious. The tuna was horrible. It was super thin and I ordered medium rare and it was cooked medium well. The server asked if I wanted to send it back but them my son would have been done with his dinner by the time I got it back. The server could not believe how thin the tuna was. I think they were running out and decided to cut the tuna in half. The server should have had a manger come to talk to me and taken some money off my bill but none of that was done. I would not go back to this restaurant when I go back to this area. They are just ripping off the tourists.
Awesome location, great staff and delicious food!
Love staying and dining at Capt. Hiram’s
Great food , service and best location.
Have recommended and will continue to recommend this great place.
Great service making for a very wonderful date night!
Everything was great. Unfortunately it was very hot outside and the restaurant is all open.
My granddaughter's birthday was June 20th, 2018 and we were seated at open table dining by the water. KAREN was our waitress. I can't say enough about this wonderful woman. She took pictures of us as requested and also by the mural. Service was excellent, food was great. I will definitely use open table again and we'll certainly ask for KAREN !!
Jeanna was our server and amazing. She even brought my dog/Chewy a bowl of water. Now that service!!!!
We were at Captain Hiram’s to celebrate my partner’s birthday. The calamari and fish dip for appetizers was unbelievable! We also enjoyed our dinner. The food was fresh, flavorful, plentiful, and the presentation impressive. Our waitress was attentive, and on top of everything! We can’t wait to return!!
Good food. Great atmosphere and great service! We will be back next visit !
Staff was somewhat overwhelmed for Mother's Day, Table ,although sticky, was nice waterfront view.. Brunch buffet was meager, and seemed added as an afterthought. We ordered from the menu and the breakfast was nice. Overall nice place ,but go when they aren't busy....
Since seating is covered patio - basically outdoors - there is no air conditioning. Service was fairly slow but we weren't in a hurry so that was acceptable for the evening. Getting 2 bottles of bottled water took almost 30 min. Food was OK. Menu has several options and food was hot. Nothing I couldn't do at home. Live music was very loud. Made conversation almost impossible.
We stayed at the hotel on a Wednesday so the place was not crowded. Staff was super cheerful. Good service..conch fritters were over cooked but the fish sandwich and calamari were well prepared. The drinks were perfect and a fair price. Also an outside with a Key West vibe. Beachy..with music.the view of the water fantastic.
Great food and beautiful view!!! Moved away so Haven’t been there in 15 years but just as good as I remembered!
Captain Hiram's is so unique!! I have lived in Brevard County for 28 years and only been down to Sebastian a handful of times. I NEVER miss the opportunity to go to this amazing resort bar/restaurant. It has something to offer everyone! The view is completely unbeatable and the service is great. The food is fresh and ready quickly! Great times!!!!! If you have a boat you can even pull up and dock there and use the resort amenities and they will even prepare the fish you caught that day! It is a hidden GEM!
Had the best time for my mom’s family birthday dinner. The food, atmosphere and view was wonderful as always. Mussels with Chorizo appetizer was fantastic! Travis our waiter was attentive and patient with our older, hard of hearing birthday girl and also had the rest of us rolling with laughter every time he was back at our table :)
As always, food was pretty good... not great. I have tried most of the menu, and the calamari is the only thing I would say is above average. But nothings bad. The atmosphere is good. Karen is a great server.
No shrimp cocktail in a seafood restaurant?.
They don't know how to make a lobster roll, got to be kidding
