Had the chicken stir fry which was very salty. Overall experience was good.
Dinner was so so today!
Food was fine, we were happy with our meals. We were seated quickly. Overall service was very slow and our server never came back to check on us after food was delivered. We also had to seek her out in order to get our check, after waiting with two antsy kids for 15 minutes or so after we finished our meals. My husband physically got up and was looking through the restaurant to find her for our check.
Typically bar food and atmosphere.. Some how our table got taken, so we ended up waiting a bit longer for table, and seating in the bar instead of the dining room, since we asked for first available at that point. They comp'd us an appetizer. Food was just okay.. Kitchen was very busy, so a bit slow... But typical American bar food, not a bad place, just not memorable.
This was a dinner reservation. Five people dined there. Two were adults. Three were children. Food was mediocre and overpriced.
Ice cold beers, great food, awesome service. Would recommend
Our server seemed inexperienced but he tried hard to please. Bar service to our table was very slow in filling drink orders. The entrees arrived before the appetizer so our server cancelled it from the bill. There was nothing special about the food and the portions were only average. Overall the experience was only fair which is sad because I would really like this restaurant to be better.
I had the roasted vegetable flat bread, delicious. ALSO the kale quinoa salad, everyone at the table enjoyed their food.
We stopped in for a quit dinner before going to a movie. large bar with lots of table and seats around the bar. Food was good. We will go back!
Blackhawks game was on
Pretty slow Sunday evening... and the service was very slow too. Waiter was friendly but served our drinks and then disappeared. We waited quite a while to place our dinner order. That said the food was good and we were promptly seated using our Open Table reservation.
Went for bottomless mimosas during Sunday brunch. Great food and good service.
Was a birthday celebration with 8 people. Waitress never said anything about it. I had the grilled fish taco, worse I have ever had. Was dry and cold, didn’t want to make a scene since it was our daughters birthday. Comments about the fries from others was they tasted like fry cakes you get at carnivals. Guess all in all was not a good night.
Service was terrible and the food was cold! Usually a good experience but not this time! Will not go back for acehile
Food quality vs value has dropped considerably since the opening...
Had lunch with a friend... food was excellent!
Stayed at Hampton Inn down the block so walked over. Food was awesome. Spring rolls were fresh and filling and the ahi entree was excellent. Pleasantly surprised.
SinceI'm not a drinker, I cannot advise about the Bar but for the past 4 or 5 years friends and I have celebrated New Year's Eve at the Black Finn - early not there for the champaign at midnight but we go back every year.
I went New Year’s Eve around 8:30. The French Onion Soup was fabulous but the rest of the food (consensus of all in party) was average at best. The service was very slow and the restaurant was not very crowded. I wouldn’t go back.
Good, friendly, service, good well prepared food and quiet. Will do it again!
