Great service. Noise was a bit on the high side but likely due to lots of tables occupied by soccer group.
Food was good and really liked the historical pub atmosphere.
As soon as we walked in the Manager was quick to greet us and take us to our table. Our waiter, Max, was great - knew the beer menu and he was warm and friendly. Food was great, as always with the Black Powder.
Loved our server and the food was amazing as always.
This was a halfway point for the four of us to meet and we were all impressed with the excellent service and food at Black Powder Tavern. Will definitely be going back soon.
the best cedar plank salmon ever!
Been there over the years many many times. The quality of their food, their service and the restaurant are all great but yesterday service was horrible tho.
There could not have been more then 5 tables in the restaurant and no event in any room but it took over 30 minutes to get our appetizer of calamari.
About 20 minutes in, I asked a waiter and they stated the kitchen had just gotten yelled at.
The food was good but if they were short handed or anything logical, they should have told us. Otherwise that is unacceptable
Amazing food - the chicken Milanese had the best fried chicken we have ever had.
Good food and attentive service.
Good food good service
Our server, Blake was charming, attentive and helpful. The manager checked in to make sure all was well. The burrata and heirloom tomato appetizer with a delicious balsamic glaze tasted like summer. My chicken Milanese was perfectly seasoned and cooked and served on a bed of tasty salad greens with a pesto vinaigrette- delightful! My friend was pleased with her veggie burger and I did steal a few fries from her plate- they were cooked just right and very yummy. If you’re into margaritas at all you must try the cranberry jalapeño margarita. It’s my new favorite.
Great burgers and beer selection!
Service always great as well!
Our favorite place in Valley Forge area. Really neat place with great food and service.
Couldn’t walk in at 6pm. Open table reserved us a table at 8pm.
We were reuniting with friends from out of town that we hadn’t seen in over 2 years. Everyone was very accommodating of our desire to relocate from indoors to outdoors and to take our time through dinner. Waitress Sabrina/ Serena was excellent. Only complaint was that they seemed to run out of items that were on their menu such as French fries and certain vegetables. Their food in general was good but as with most restaurants post pandemic their menu was more limited than previously and they closed unusually early (9:00pm ) for a Friday night.
Small patio but nice to be able to dine outside. Loaded Potato Chip appetizer was amazing!
I had the best prime grade beef hamburger I've had in many years!!! And cooked to perfection!!!
Went for the Father’s Day all you can eat brunch and was great. It was a little crowded inside nonetheless.
No Omelette station was a huge let down. Chipotle seasoned meats for a brunch did not fit with the rest of the options.
Service was hit and miss.
Very friendly and attentive staff, great atmosphere. The Steak Frites was amazing!!
We love Black Powder and rec it to all our friends.
We went here with a party of 6 people for dinner. The parking lot was a madhouse but the hostess directed us to park in the pick up spots so it turned out ok. Inside was very cute and the food was actually very good, as was our server.
We were having a really wonderful time until the end of the meal. We were waiting on our check and a last item from the kitchen that was taking quite a while (likely because they were so busy) when the manager (I’m assuming she was a manager - striped shirt, glasses, and a septum ring) approached our table and rudely said we had to go because they needed the table space. We were pretty taken aback considering we had been there less than two hours from when we sat down, had ordered more than six meals, multiple appetizers, and multiple rounds of drinks. Not to mention we were waiting on them to actually get out of there.
It really put a damper on the experience to have this unprofessional person try to rush us out the door without even bothering to pretend she cared about our experience or appreciated our business. Such a shame the place has trusted her to be an important face of the business.
What a great dinner with my husband and son.
Great service and great food.
Looking forward to going back .
We had a wonderful experience. Our server, Jay, went above and beyond. He was super helpful with our daughter’s gluten intolerance and just an overall great server. Food was excellent also!
We always enjoy our food and drinks and the staff at Black powder tavern. This time we met jaclyn (spelling) who was lovely. She introduced herself and we had a nice conversation with her. She is a great addition to your staff.
First time here. Met some friends who I hadn’t seen since the pandemic. Had a wonderful time catching up. We had two great appetizers a burger and a couple of reubins. Everything was great, service was exceptional and the place was very cool.
We all plan to meet again here!!
Our favorite go-to for lunch after our long walks in the park. Outdoor dining is a must in the good weather. Live it here!
We always enjoy dining at Black Powder and if we are lucky we get Jay as our server! He is SO knowledgeable about the history of the location and we love hearing about it. He is very attentive and friendly. The food is terrific too!!
I have always had great service and food at this restaurant. I brought two friends here for brunch. Both one of my friends and I ordered the avocado toast. It took forever to get our food and when it finally arrived it was ice cold and burnt to black on the underside. I also ordered sausage links and two of the links had been nuked to the point of being too hard to even cut. Although we did not complain, we were offered dessert on the house. One friend ordered the mini danish. Apparently, they were not too flavorful as he did not finish it. It saddens me to see this local eatery going bad.
Best burger husband has ever had, homemade bacon jam and blue cheese sauce! Fabulous authentic poutine. Fair prices, especially as so many restaurants have really increased prices during /after COVID
The service was outstanding!!
Always excellent food and libations! This is one of our “go-to” spots! Never a bad meal😁😁
Good neighborhood place. Food is good and some interesting things on menu plus basics. Nice draft beer selections. Servers and bartender get good grades - attentive and nice. Has outdoor patio and now has booths inside perimeter of bar area - very nice.
Best Onion soup around, Meal was wonderful, servers were very good and sociable, Valet parking, nice atmosphere. Its was a perfect dinner. I've been going and taking people here for years. Oh I forgot to mention, a great bar and bar keeps.
Everything was delicious and our server Alyssa was amazing and attentive. Would go again!
Great food, atmosphere and service!
Great food and drinks.
We were seated right away. Our server was very attentive. The food and dessert were very good.
went on a Wednesday night- 630pm, during- hoping, the end of covid. Server- Jacqui I believe was great. Accomodated food and drink choices. Great that the staff was open to being adaptable to request.
Have had 11 dinners here in 2.5 months and always loved it. Lunch menu pales in comparison in both selections and quality. Will continue to go for dinner (we have another reservation for next week!), but will not return for lunch.
Beautiful evening specialty burger dinner outside with wine
