After a meticulous renovation of the Fells Point General Store in 1997, The Black Olive has become a hallmark of quaint elegance on the cobblestone section of Bond Street in Fells Point, Baltimore's waterfront jewel. Although over twenty-five years old, its spirit is rooted in a rich, multi-generational legacy. As a Greek fish tavern in historic Fells Point, we specialize in Mediterranean seafood and traditional Greek dishes, complemented by house-made breads and desserts.     This is our staple restaurant when we come in to town. The food is amazing and consistent. Favorites are the eggplant dip (Melitzanasalata), Avocado Greek salad, Chilean sea bass and rack of lamb.

    Coordinated a group dinner in the Celler and the experience was AMAZING!! Dimitris and his staff were welcoming, kind, and very helpful. The food (Black Olive Lobster Pasta with Squid Ink, Filet Mignon, Whole Black Sea Bass, Grilled Octopus Salad, Stuffed Calamari) was raved about throughout the night from the group. Dimitris recommended two great wines (red & white) to go with our order and they were both perfect! Hats off to the Black Olive staff for a great experience!!

    We spent 4 days in Baltimore and this was our absolute favorite restaurant. We shared 2 small plates. One was a mushroom and bread item - excellent. The other was the lamb meatballs - also excellent. Then we shared an entree of sea bass. That included cauliflower and a rice with yummy spices. Cute place in a cute part of town. Bartender was also very thorough in making sure our drinks were perfect. We would definitely go back. HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!

    The restaurant treated us like royalty! The food was amazingly delicious and ambiance perfect. We had a very “hangry” 3 year old with us that lost it a little and they brought her fruit to snack on while we waited. Highly recommend. The place feels like home…they take such good care of you!

    it's been a few years since we've visited Black Olive. We were delighted that the experience remains an excellent one. If we were Baltimore residents, this would be a frequent dining destination. Recommended: Grilled scallop appetizer and grilled yellow fin tuna.

    The food was ridiculously delicious and fresh. We did 4 small plates and it was perfect for 2 people. Filet mignon, grilled mushrooms, tziki and the cottage pie were all out of this world. The apple and icecream for dessert hit the spot. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. An excellent spot and one of the best meals I’ve had in years. Cannot recommend strongly enough!

    My husband abd I went for Father's day. They had a 3 course prix fixe menu for $80. The choices on the menu were excellent and all the food outstanding. This is what we ate Appetizer: scallops & lamb meatballs. My scallops were large, tender, and perfectly grilled. My husband's lamb meatballs were delicious and came with a very yummy sauce. Entrees: softcrab wrapped in phyllo & fillet mignon. I am a softcrab "purist." I don't like a lot of coating or sauce on my softcrab. I hesitated a bit before ordering, but I am so glad I got it. The crab was perfect and the flaky dough enhanced the crab. There was a delightful sauce on the side, which I ended up putting on both my crab and veggies because it was so good. Dessert: we both got the baklava ice cream - perfect ending to the perfect meal! Also, perfect service and atmosphere. The restaurant is decorated beautifully, has white tablecloths and the tables are well spaced. To me it is an elegant, romantic setting without feeling stuffy. Thank you Black Olive for a delightful, flawless evening!
