After a meticulous renovation of the Fells Point General Store in 1997, The Black Olive has become a hallmark of quaint elegance on the cobblestone section of Bond Street in Fells Point, Baltimore's waterfront jewel. Although over twenty-five years old, its spirit is rooted in a rich, multi-generational legacy. As a Greek fish tavern in historic Fells Point, we specialize in Mediterranean seafood and traditional Greek dishes, complemented by house-made breads and desserts.     The food was ridiculously delicious and fresh. We did 4 small plates and it was perfect for 2 people. Filet mignon, grilled mushrooms, tziki and the cottage pie were all out of this world. The apple and icecream for dessert hit the spot. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. An excellent spot and one of the best meals I’ve had in years. Cannot recommend strongly enough!

    My husband abd I went for Father's day. They had a 3 course prix fixe menu for $80. The choices on the menu were excellent and all the food outstanding. This is what we ate Appetizer: scallops & lamb meatballs. My scallops were large, tender, and perfectly grilled. My husband's lamb meatballs were delicious and came with a very yummy sauce. Entrees: softcrab wrapped in phyllo & fillet mignon. I am a softcrab "purist." I don't like a lot of coating or sauce on my softcrab. I hesitated a bit before ordering, but I am so glad I got it. The crab was perfect and the flaky dough enhanced the crab. There was a delightful sauce on the side, which I ended up putting on both my crab and veggies because it was so good. Dessert: we both got the baklava ice cream - perfect ending to the perfect meal! Also, perfect service and atmosphere. The restaurant is decorated beautifully, has white tablecloths and the tables are well spaced. To me it is an elegant, romantic setting without feeling stuffy. Thank you Black Olive for a delightful, flawless evening!

    The black olive is a real treasure in Baltimore. We had a large party and they were so accommodating in terms of seating us. everyone’s food was excellent. We’re happy that we were able to introduce so many friends to a new wonderful dining experience for them in Baltimore.

    Great to be back at the Black Olive, after too long an absence. The whole fish lived up to our high expectations and the Greek appetizer (grilled squid/souvlaki) and dessert specialties (baklava) were also superb The wait staff was new and could have been a bit more knowledgeable about the menu, but Dmitri behind the bar more than made up for that with his Greek wine and spirits recommendation (and a perfect Negroni!) Excellent experience.
