We had dinner here before a show at the Villar Center. Prompt and attentive service, and the food was delicious! Only thing that detracted from an otherwise fantastic experience - and not necessarily the fault of the restaurant- was the presence of several loud, whiny small children in the BAR.

I would recommend it, and they do have free valet parking that makes getting in and out a breeze if you are not staying in the village. Otherwise, it is an easy and pleasant walk to a delicious dinner!

Good food. Nice service. Very slow kitchen but we weren't in a hurry. Room can be very noisy if other diners aren't using their inside voices.

Very disappointed. The hostess is in the wrong line of business, be it over the phone or in person.
Our waiter was ok but not stellar. The food was decent but not on par with other restaurants in BC.
The wine list is very nice and the sommelier knows his job and his list. That was the highlight of the evening.

I'm an employee in this restaurant and when I came in for the first time they overcooked all 3 of the steaks that were ordered by the table. We ordered 1 MedRare and 2 medium, we received 2 MedWell and 1 well done. This is a consistent issue in the restaurant as 6/10 steaks are cooked wrong.

Much better food than I was expecting for a ski resort restaurant. Only downside was the service was stretched so the few waiters were desperately trying to keep up, forgetting things etc.

This was our second visit to Black Diamond Bistro. Our visit a year ago on Spring Break was a wonderful experience and we were looking forward to this year, however this year’s visit was considerably less than subpar. Where to begin.... First, The Hostess was extremely rude and inattentive and their were dirty dishes and food all over the table in the waiting area by the fireplace. Second, service was extremely slow. Finally, the “manager “ was considerably rude and spoke to several adults like they were children. It was extremely unprofessional quite embarrassing to witness. Located in a Spring Break Resort Destination, one would expect a far superior experience.

Food was absolutely wonderful - the scallops with leek purée ... and the blood orange ice cream especially! Best meal I can remember ever being served :)
Jeremy was a great waiter too and the place is nice and airy, with good ambience and ample space for each table, good acoustics.

Don’t change a thing!

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely meal. The half-chicken was delicious! I really liked the team approach that the wait staff uses. Our server Alex gave us recommendations and answered all our questions and was very friendly. He did a great job!

Our party of 5 adults were seated in a room with 3 large groups including many children. The noise level was the worst we have ever experienced in a restaurant. Couldn't wait to get out of there. Pizza and burgers were good but the environment so awful I can't recommend.

Double pork chop was excellent; restaurant ambiance should be quiet for a 7pm dinner reservation however it was unpleasant due to a screeching child (tolerated for over an hour). So food and service was very good; a unique situation made for a less than enjoyable evening. We would give it another try with hopefully better experience minus the disruptive behavior.

Had dinner there one night. A family with a 1 year old baby was there and the kid was shrieking all during dinner and kicking the table. The parents did nothing. The wait staff should have gotten a manager to speak to them. We were not the only upset customers, another table of guys made a comment to the parents that the kid should be in bed (it was 8:30). My friend turned around to them and said they should try to quiet the kid. Wow that was the wrong thing to say, the Mom got very defensive. I don't think it is the responsibility of the customers to go at it, the restaurant manager should have politely asked them to quiet the child or remove her. It seems that we have to teach the general public manners.
Otherwise the food was good, but that screaming child made it an unpleasant evening.
Thanks for listening
Linda Scheurer

Everyone was very pleasant here but it did not leave the most memorable mark. The wine list was limited and could’ve been of better selection. Gluten free options were a plus. The trout was pretty good.

Seated promptly. Waitress was wonderful. Drinks were poor quality. Waitress made the next round herself which were perfect. Food took a very long time to arrive and was average at best. We have been coming to BC for years and decided to try something new. We were very disappointed. We paid a lot for average food/experience.

I love the menu and the food. But I ordered a rib eye to be cooked medium and it was almost well done. It sounds very exagerated but I found it very important in beef. Other than that everything was good.

Our dinner was really good. Didn't wait long , especislly the colflower soup was really delicues . Would love to have the rescepie. Rosted chicken and NY steak was also good. We sit at High table , so it’s really like bistro not restaurant. Its not luxury place but good place to go for casuale dinner. Also with kids. The Service is good but you feel how much they are bussy ( but in most restaurant in the willage) they forget to smile a little bit...

Our 19th season in the valley and this was our first visit to Black Diamond Bistro. Overall very pleased with our meals and service. Pizza and all of the appetizers were excellent but my fish was a little over cooked. The only real disappointment was the wine list......limited wine selection and after my third choice I finally had to ask what they had. We will be back, just hope they invest in a larger wine inventory prior to holidays.

The food was outstanding. It took a little while between courses for the food to arive. We had leftover's which we had to box up ourselves. We went there because of the special they were running of 50% off the entire bill. Priced at the higher end of restuarants in Vail, There are better choices. Would we go back? Yes when they run the special again.

Showed up for our reservation that was confirmed on opentable and was during restaurant week, and it was completely closed and empty. Would be nice if you updated your reservation system so people don’t drive all the way out there to find you closed.
