The Charter building and black diamond bistro is in real need of a facelift. Food was ok but absolutely no charm or ambiance. Dirty windows and needs a paint job, would not recommend .
ambiance and service were fine. food was ok. They were out of my preferred entree. wine and cocktails were as expected.I would rate the restaurant 3+ to four stars.
Service was not great. Long stretches without contact from the server. Table beside us left because nobody came to take their order. Elevated ski lodge food, but definitely not worth the price tag.
Delicious halibut - I all but licked my plate clean. My husband had the bison and also enjoyed it very much. Beautiful setting sitting outside on the balcony. It was a lovely evening and most delicious meal.
We had a great experience! Nice wine list, menu with something on it for everyone, and gorgeous views! Friendly staff too.
Great staff, mountain views, good value-a real hidden gem. Highly recommend.
Had a great dinner. Huge dinner portions great service
We think the bar seating here is one of the valley’s best-kept secrets. Gorgeous views and casual vibe. Friendly wait staff and bartender and the food is awesome. Lots of gluten-free options. We never visit without a trip here for their chicken dish. Other great steak and fish selections. Pasta. Appetizers. Good pizza too.
They overcharged for the drinks and when told the waitress she answered that she knew that the bar overcharged us but said nothing.
The meal was absolutely delicious. In our party, we had the salmon, the halibut, the crabcakes and the BBQ pork steak. Everyone ranted and raved about how good their meals were. The staff was fantastic as well. We will be back!
Great food, including some good veg options. Love the outdoor terrace
Had a server who was training. Halibut dry and over cooked. Wine was mediocre. Ordered a ceasar to share and it was brought on 1 plate. Trainer did bring an additional plate. Service was rushed. Have dined here previously but this is probably the last time.
great food and service, would definitely go back to Black Diamond Bistro
Is the chef choosing to experiment? Some dishes are good however the Lasagna could 100% win a contest for the worlds worst attempt at Lasagna.
Service was outstanding. Good craft cocktails and excellent choice of entres. Had the duck and steak frites. Both very good
Great service from Scott, Tom and Ryan! Love the pork steak.
The meal was very delicious. I got the crab cakes and duck. The duck was cooked absolutely perfectly and the crab cakes were full of meat with delicious dressing. Highly recommend.
Really expensive for what it is... wouldn’t say it’s worth it.
Great food, great view overlooking all of the main BC lifts and slopes.
Friendly and attentive service. Delicious specialty tequila cocktail. Had the pork entree on the server’s enthusiastic recommendation and am glad I did. Sooo tender! It was well plated with tasty sides. This was a very enjoyable dining experience.
Loved the food. Only negative was it was a little hot in the dinning room. Overall great experience.
Overall, would recommend. Our waiter was conscientious but a bit neurotic and over attentive. We also felt rushed. The food was excellent! The atmosphere OK. We were in the adjunct dining room. I would definitely return but also would be willing to look at other choices
Fantastic food - everyone enjoyed the variety of appetizers, entree's and desserts. Ambience is ok, but you will be glad you dined here.
Beautiful view of the mountains. Loved the cocktails and the pork steak.
The cioppino was excellent!
Food was upscale and great. The server, Christian, was attentive and personable.
I would give it 5 stars but the price was unusually high. $400 for 4 adults and two young children is a bit more than we expected. We will go back because we liked the food and service.
Family get together on ski vacation. This was our favorite dining experience of all during a week of skiing. We have already recommended it to other friends who go to Vail/Beaver Creek somewhat regularly. Andrew took very good care of us and anticipated our every need. He also made some great recommendations (Braised Short Rib - fabulous!, Espresso Martini was yummy, Brownie Sundae for dessert).
We enjoyed a good meal after a long day of skiing. The truffle fries were delicious!
Ski Vacation in vail
Interesting beer selection. Delicious appetizer with ricotta, candied carrots, salad, fennel. Dried Angus steak excellent.
Short ribs of beef a bit too fatty (fat permeated the beef) for my liking.
Good food poor ambience moderate service
Unfortunately we split a meal but the food wasn’t split in the kitchen. We were handed a plate to split ourselves. The pork was tender but had a good bit of inedible fat in it! The noise level was high. There’s no soft surfaces to absorb the sound. Overall not a great meal.
A hidden gem in Beaver Creek found in the Charter hotel. 4 different orders, all equally delicious and prepared to perfection.
Excellent food! The pork steak and the duck breast were fantastic. Solid ambience- not too stuffy- just right for a nice meal at a ski resort.
The food was good but definitely not great. Our server was very nice and pleasant but we were rushed through the meal and found that VERY disappointing. Our entire dinner lasted one hour which is not what we expect from fine dining. We didn't even have the opportunity to finish our bottle of wine.....
Great service and excellent dinner. Never heard of a pork steak and was glad our waiter recommended it!
Pork steak was unbelievably delicious accompanied by a killer potato dish and Brussel sprouts that went great with the BBQ sauce. The roasted chicken was almost equally good with a great combo of mushrooms and olives
A more casual setting (no table cloth), but very comfortable. Great service by Tom. We enjoyed Minestrone Soup (outstanding), Mahi Mahi on Lentils (wonderful) and NY Steak (perfectly prepared).
