Always a wonderful experience. One of our favorites!
We dined outside on the deck. Even though it was cool, the space heaters and warmth of the staff made it wonderful.
Beautiful, historic restaurant overlooking the river. Food was very good. Our server was great. Their Cabernet Suavignon is superb.
Such a great place to enjoy the atmosphere. Good food doesn’t hurt either.
Casual fine dining ‘outdoors’ .... Perfection from start to finish !
The Black Bass was the perfect setting to celebrate our 26th oanniversary. The view of the river as well as the atmosphere in the restaurant was wonderful. Our server was attentive and the food was delicious. The dress was casual. Would definitely return again!
The view is spectacular they do not have the brunch do to COVID overall it was very good.
Everything was fabulous...always a great experience!
This is one of our most favorite places to eat. The food is great and it has a wonderful atmosphere.
Start to finish was solid. Food was delicious. Service was outstanding.
Wonderful birthday meal! Great spot even if the weather forced us inside
Very pleased with whole experience
Initial service response was slow. Service was fine afterwards. Enjoyed the cocktail and wine. Braised ribs were very tasty and warm.
Everything was beyond amazing from start to finish!
Amazing .. as always.. The food, the service, the ambiance.
Loved every second of it! Wonderful food, service and atmosphere. Cant wait to go back!
Great service, views and food. Great place.
Lunch on Friday was great. Porcini chicken and Porchetta were both excellent. Brussels sprout appy was done perfect. Sat along the window and watched the Delaware roll by. Reasonable price even with 2 glasses of wine. Spread out diners among all rooms and the car. The patio was socially distanced as well. One of our favorite places.
Beautiful setting and nice food. Unfortunately we has a very loud table sitting near us and could hear their entire conversation.
Very nice scenic setting along the Delaware Canal and River with big windows to overlook the scenery. Had cassolet for a 2nd time; this time it was much better but was a bit light on the meats. The Black Bass chard was very good (as always) although a bit pricey as well at $38 (750 mL bottle). All-in-all it was a good meal and experience.
Excellent service. Great food. Quiet place. I strongly recommmend.
The only thing I wasn’t happy with was that I called and left a message to request a window seat and they said no when we got there. The window tables stayed unoccupied the whole time. They stayed empty for the entire time we sat at another table.
Everything was perfect! Not only a delight to the tastebuds, the Black Bass checks all of the boxes. If you appreciate history, you will never want to leave. Highly recommended!
Had a lovely Anniversary dinner at the Black Bass Hotel. Everything was wonderful from beginning to end. Looking forward to having Thanksgiving dinner there this year with our family.
Anniversary dinner was fantastic. The waitress allowed us to take our time enjoy or cocktails and appitizer s and had our dinner ready at a nice slow pace. Very very enjoyable
Service and food was amazing! Only thing they didn’t acknowledge was our anniversary tho, not once it was mentioned. Not that we expected a handout but most places will at least say happy anniversary. n they knew as we were staying at the hotel as well n the manager confirmed but at least they seated us by the window.
Upon arrival, the floor under our table was dirty and had food on it. They offered us tap water or sparkling water. We went with tap water because I'm not picky but it tasted like it was from the river outside. The service was decent and our waitress Sue was very friendly and polite though it did take a little while for her to come and check on us. The menu changed on Friday apparently and we attended on Sunday evening so everyone was still getting used to what they had available. The food was delicious!!! The filet is probably in our top 3 favorites now. After dinner, we had dessert and champagne brought to our room upstairs which was lovely and the pumpkin cheesecake was delicious.
The food was excellent and the special cheesecake divine and the Sparkly Berry drink was very good. The tables were spaced apart so you were not close to other diners. The staff were their usual helpful, pleasant selves. Lunch was very enjoyable Would without a doubt go back.
Fantastic experience. Great atmosphere and outstanding service. We will be returning in the near future.
Filet was excellent.
“Signature Chesapeake Crab” was watery with texture of crab more mushy than expected.
Booked way in advance so that my daughter could see what her mom and aunt have been talking about. Wonderful meal and now she plans to return with friends! Tables nic3ly distanced and all top notch. Thank you.
Dinner, food, was the issue, ordered the Chartobriand medium rare and it came out medium to well, messed up entire experience.
Beautiful view, so nice to back inside! Service was friendly and helpful!!
Fantastic meal in a fantastic location with stellar service!
Was looking forward to Sunday brunch and found out when we sat down that brunch wasn’t being served, only the lunch menu. Started with the daily soup special which was only warm upon arrival. Entree was fair. The gentleman who seated us and the server weren’t friendly. I’ve had wonderful meals here before but unfortunately this wasn’t one of them :-(
Only lunch menu offered , flies were all over us at the table and waiter outside of window during meal stacking chairs in front of where we sat inside. Food was just ok , for the price definitely not worth it. View out window was nice , if you were sitting in middle of dining room.
We loved it there. They did a great job with social distancing and still providing a great meal.
The staff was very helpful in making us comfortable with our seating's , meaning we were to sit outdoors but it was a cool evening so they let us move indoors ever though our reservations weren't. Our waitress was the best, our food satisfying.
We like this place, food is always good, the staff attentive friendly and professional!
As always the food was delicious for most of our party. My friend was underwhelmed by the crabcake but she said the asparagus was good. My salmon was delicious as was salad, my husband's soup and jambalaya. We chose to get dessert at the general store but was told we could not get it unless we had the evening meal. Not sure why that happened. This was our third time visiting and even with these little inconveniences, we surely will be back.
