Service was just OK but the food was good. Prime rib was a little done for me as I ordersd Med Rare and it was more of medium.
She gave very good service. There was a problem and she took care of it very gracefully.
Black Angus is and has always been a great experience! We love it there!
My steak was ok. But my wife order the rib. It tasted not salted and dry. We liked the room setup and the servers were nice.
Stale bread, and waited more than 20 minutes for 1 canned beer and a cocktail at 5:30pm. Walked out.
Out of town visitors
The booths are set up so your dining experience is very intimate and private. Our steaks were cooked to perfection.
Good food, at reasonable prices. Our waiter was knowledgeable and friendly, and my husband loved his birthday cookie and ice Cream! It was the first time our son had eaten there, and he thought it was really good, and would come back again for sure.
Great food and very nice service. Everything was good and served well.
I’m 70 years old and I must say this was one of the worst meals I had- the restaurant is very tired carpet from the 50’s- service was terrible- waitress seemed more concerned with getting us thru dinner than any type of real dinning experience IT WAS MY DAUGHTER IN LAWS BIRTHDAY DINNER will never go back and will advise anyone who ask no to go- I could go on but I think you get the point
It would be nice if the greeters would pay attention to the on line reservation more closely. It's twice now they have tried sitting my husband and I in the main dining room when I specifically asked for the bar area. Even upon checking in I reiterated the bar area .
We had a reservation for a very busy time of the evening and we got seated in a timely manner.
Good service and good food.
Service was outstanding, but the steak had a piece of grizzle running all the way through it that pretty much ruined it for one of us! Other steaks were tasty and the lobster tail was really good!
We had early dinner reservations and were quickly seated. Our server was very attentive but not overbearing. Food was served in a timely manner and dinner flowed well. Good food and excellent service.
It was the worst service I've ever had it took the server 45 minutes bring has any bread and then our salads came out about 2 minutes before or untreated. There were people who came after us who got their bread and salads long before we did. It will be a long time if ever We Come Back to Black Angus are in Vancouver.
We enjoyed a great meal including wagonwheel appetizers, salmon, filet mignon, salads, bread, loaded baked potatoes, and crumble apple pie. Very delicious.
We were there at the restaurant 15 minutes early. We were Told to check back in at 7pm. It took a long time to get any service to the table. We were told that they were short staffed that night. If you have been in the restaurant business for more than a month you Know that Saturday night will always be busy! We ordered an appetizer, drinks and water. That took more time. Very long story short we were not served our meals until shortly after 8pm. We only visit this restaurant 2-3x a year. We will look for other restaurants.
Although the service was slower than normal this time, the food is ALWAYS great, especially the ribs!!
The table service was excellent. Waitress was outstanding.
The problem was when we arrived at 5:10. The brunette handling the reservations was rude and disrespectful. When I gave her my name she said “You don’t have a reservation”. I told her I did and that I
Received a conformation. She proceeded to tell me I didn’t. I told to to check again and spelled my name
for her. After about a minute she said “yeah, I found it. Go away and I’ll call you later”. I said, excuse me ,
I am a handicapped person and I can not stand I need to be seated now. The waiting area is small and all
Benches were taken. She replied you will have go and I will call you later. Luckily, for me other person heard this and he gave his seat to me. After about another 20 minutes we were finally seated. At that time I counted 7 empty tables that I could see. My wife and I have dined there many times and have not
had problems but I will not go back there again and subject myself to her and those types of problems.
I would not recommend this dining establishment to my friends because we are all seniors and do not need
to be greeted with this type of attitude and abruptness.
Such a value! Well-prepared meat, salad, and vegetable options. Fresh and seasonally appropriate. Appetizers and dessert options are also a great value, especially for a crowd. The furnishings are slightly dated, but you can't beat the price for a great steak dinner!
My husband, son and I recieved some gift cards to Black Angus...it was our first time there. The service was amazing and the food was really good. We don't eat out much because it is so expensive and this restaurant is no exception, but because of the 75.00 in gift cards (which we spent all of even though we bought the Special with a coupon) we enjoyed it very much!!
The waiter and food were excellent need more then one bartender on staff at dinner time. Will come
Always excellent service and quick response when needed to fix things! Menu is varied and food is delicious!
Best restaurant in the area. Food, prices, variety, drinks and it's quiet enough to have a conversation. Love this place. We keep going back and are never disappointed.
Started with the wedge salad. It was great (even served with an ice-cold fork). Enjoyed a delicious filet mignon, cooked to a perfect medium and very well seasoned topped with mushroom. Grilled shrimp, scallops and a loaded baked potato completed a perfect dinner. The service was very prompt. Looking forward to my next visit!
Food was not prepared well. Had a reservation but were not seated for quite a while after the time. Not a table issue but a staff issue
We ordered the filet mignon medium and it very over cooked, almost to well done. In addition the outside was burnt, which adversely affected the taste. For the amount of money they charged, we expected more attention to the food preparation.
Although we looked forward to the evening, there were a few items that were not satisfactory. All 4 bread plates were dirty an removed. Wine glass dirty as well. We were told they had a new dishwasher.
Additional items ordered were not delivered with meal. Trio selected was delivered with incorrect selections.
Decor needs updating.
We have been here several times and the food was great. This time, however, the food was not great. Steaks were over charred, and the chicken was dry. But, we will be back because we know they can do better.
Always love coming here. Great staff n overall beautiful restaurant.
We have been to Black Angus several times before but this was the best. The food was absolutely delicious. Even the leftovers tasted great the next day -- we had to save room for dessert! I had something that was new on the menu -- a summer BBQ platter. Yumm!
The only blemish on an otherwise perfect meal was a medium rare steak ordered rare. It was too nice a cut of meat to waste, and the mgr comped us a dessert!
We were seated immediately, service was great, food came out hot and was delicious, who could ask for anything more! A+
We had a nice dinner
The food was delicious, the waitress was friendly, and service was great.
Always consistent great food and service. Don’t get the green beans, they are always undercooked and too much fibers to chew.
Service was good.. Our steaks were overcooked and tough. I did not mention to the waitress because I didn't want to send it back. I know what happens to food when you do that. Lobster was excellent.
I usually enjoy going to Black Angus much more than I did this visit. I had made the reservation on Open Table, and made a special note that it was my mothers 75th Bday. Nothing was done. Not even mentioned. Our waitress was NOT very friendly. Never brought us water, until we finally asked for it. Just not an overly pleasant experience. It was my mom's choice to go there, because she wanted prime rib. She did enjoy that.
We enjoyed out meal. The crab stuffed prawns were outstanding. Good Service
Not up to their usual standards. There was a large section of carpet in front of one of the semi circle booths in the bar seating area that was raised like it got soaking wet. A very possible tripping hazard. There was food crumbs on the carpet around and under our table and we had to ask to have the food crumbs removed from our seats before we could sit down. One of the staff wiped down the seats but used a wet rag without following it up with a dry rag so we unknowingly sat down on wet seats.
