Black Angus Steakhouse - Vallejo Ratings and Reviews
The food was really good. We were put at a table that was too small for our group. Next time I will say something . The service was ok. The girl was nice but didn't come around enough. The table was full of empty dishes. Removal was slow. I would come back hopefully the next time will be better.
It started out bad as I requested a high back booth in the main dining area. But when it was time to be seated I was offered a seat in the bar. When I refused that tsble I was offed a low back booth. It wasn't until I told the hostess of my request that I was seated per my request.
The service was great and we had a really yummy dinner. They cook their steaks on the rarer side and when my husband asked to put it back on the grill they were quick to fix it, gave him some steak soup for free and gave him another baked potato too. I have celiacs disease and they have a gluten free menu too. Steak, seafood, chicken and lots of desserts and sides. Full bar.
The table was ready for us when we got there. We were upset that we only
Made it in the front door to the 2nd table when there were other tables further into the restaurant available. Next to the front door like that we heard lots of noise and every time the door opened we surely knew it. I made the reservations far in advance and do not understand why we got stuck at the front door. There was no quiet conversation. Everyone coming into the restaurant to be seated HAD to walk past our table since we were the 2nd table through the front door. I did not care for that at all!! The food was quick to come to the table. We were back home within an hour. Maybe service was a little too fast?? The server was very capable. I would have liked to have been sat at a table further into the restaurant where it would have been more quiet for the romantic day we especially
Planned to come to the restaurant for.
I have gone to several of the Black Angus locations and this one is about average of their chain. The waiter we had was pretty attentive to our dining progression and made comments on what was going on, but the drink refill (water and raspberry tea) was a bit slower than expected. After he said he would be right back with refills, it would be 4-5 minutes before he returned. We usually get another fill of bread/butter when the initial one is gone, but not this time. It is always nice to 'slop up' the juices from our steaks with the bread but this time it wasn't there to do.
On January 29, 2017, my wife and I had a reservation for 6PM. We arrived on time and were promptly seated. Our waitress appeared approximately 5 minutes after seating, took our drink orders and delivered some bread. Several minutes later the drinks arrived and we placed our order for an appetizer and entrée. Approximately 15 minutes later our appetizer was served by someone other than our waitress. The appetizer was hot and very good. About 20 minutes after that and almost 45 minutes after being seated our waitress arrived with a redundant appetizer and apologized for the delay. When informed that we had received the appetizer 20 minutes prior she asked if we would like our salads to which told her we would appreciate it and asked if our drinks could be refilled. Our salads arrived shortly and my drink was refilled. After having been at our table for over an hour, and observing many other customers who had arrived after my wife and I, be served in a timely manner eaten and left, I got the attention of the manager who was walking the floor of the restaurant. I believe his name was Aaron. After explaining to him our experience and that at this point we would like our dinner to-go since we had another commitment, he took immediate action to correct the problem. Our dinner was bought to us approximately 10 to 12 minutes later. He provided what I believe to be an accurate accounting of what had prompted the delay instead of making up a story just to appease an unhappy diner. Aaron also insisted on making the dinner complimentary and was genuinely apologetic and seemingly embarrassed over the incident.
We have been faithful Black Angus customers for many years. We have in the past and will continue in the future to recommend you establishment. It is the service, as exemplified by your manager Aaron, that keeps us coming back, Thank you,
Dinner with friends. We were seated quickly (with reservations) in a raised back booth, overlooking the restaurant. Our server, Rachel S., introduced herself, took drink and appetizer orders. Rachel was great at offering suggestions for sides and options. Her wine service was spot on and confident. Always around, never hovered. Everyone left very pleased.
Probably the best experience at a Black Angus. Staff, from the host who checked us in, then young man who sat us, and of course our server, were on point. Service goes a long way, and definitely shapes our dining experience. Food was great, and happy our birthday was celebrated!
I came on my birthday 01/21. The server was great and attentive.
My only qualm was the problem of honoring my discounted birthday meal.
This brought a feelings of conflict with Black Angus at the table. We were there to celebrate my special day. I could not produce my online birthday coupon. So two managers came to the table. One had me fill out another online club form for Black Angus.
Not a servant leadership move.
Please in the future have the person show identification if necessary.
Not everyone is into online usage.
Especially those up in years my 80 year old dad was present.
He has a birthday next month February 4 th.
We can not celebrate with Black Angus due to limited discounted birthday celebration.
Use my circumstances as a way to make your birthday celebration available to more than online users with emails.
Thanks, for helping me to celebrate my birthday.
My last comment some enjoy the employees coming out and singing happy birthday to the birthday person.🎉🎂
We were celebrating our Grandson's 12TH Birthday so i wasn't happy when they seated us in the bar area, even though we arrived early and the restaurant seating was empty. My New York steak was tough and i was disappointed that they didn't give our Grandson a little Birthday desert. Instead they just ut a candle in the dessert that was included with my Wife, and I's Meal. We have eaten there before and it was much better.
