Black Angus Steakhouse - Vallejo Ratings and Reviews
Picked this central spot for my siblings and I to celebrate with my parents for my moms birthday. Reservations were timely, seated quickly, entire staff throughout restaurant was extremely friendly from young blonde female at bar to our brunette young female server. Food was ok, prices were ok, but overall customer service was on point. Although the food wasn't a 10/10, knowing that we were being taken care of meant more. Left a hefty tip for our party of 10 to say thank you to our waitress.
Service was excellent . Food was delicious! The ribeye steak was perfectly cooked. Porterhouse pork was my favorite. Tried the mango lime aqua fresca, its my new fav. We love the online reservation, super easy and always get seated on time. That's why we opted for black angus over chevys, more organized.
Our waitress didn't really check on us they also sat us close to the kitchen where we could here all the waiters conversations verses them assisting their tables I distinctly remember them talking about how old Halley berry was I remember the whole conversation it was a bit annoying I paid good money to eat there an to only get my water refilled once to be honest was whack ill definitely be going back to black angus just not the one in vallejo and I will be expressing my opinion to anyone who is willing to hear it mind you it was a Sunday and it was slow I could understand if they were slammed I work in customer service an I have patience but when the waiters are in the back just talking about random things maybe they should do that on their own time and not mine ?
I went there to have my birthday dinner and I absolutely loved it.
I am subscribed to their mailing list and got the Campfire coupon along with a FREE entree (you cannot combine them, so I went for the Campfire for two..) I asked for recommendation on wine to pair with my New York steak and waiter suggested two different ones, I asked to have a sample because I wanted a bottle, so he did. I totally enjoyed the food, the wine.. and to top it off he also mentioned I have a FREE birthday cookie besides the dessert that already comes with the Campfire for two special.
Thank you so much for keeping up the quality of the food and for hiring great personnel.
Normally service has been pretty good when we've come previously but I don't know if it was because it was a Friday or we got served in a different area but are food took twice as long as the bar area. I would Recommend reservation which I did ahead of time. Food was great.
We had been to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom for the day, and we're looking for a steakhouse to enjoy a nice dinner. They seated us promptly, the host staff was nice. Our server seem to be spread too thin. She started off well, but left us unattended many times. She also messed up our ticket, and had to fix it. I also found a bone in my food, and had to bring it to the attention of the general manager. They gave us a free dessert on the house whoopee. Anyway, we probably would not visit this restaurant again. Not a great experience.
Our car window was smashed and property stolen while we dined. Another customer also was broken into. We were told the hostess saw what happen but she refused to come out and talk to the police. The restaurant didn't seem to care what happen.
Had a wonderful meal, our steaks were just right. The service was really good, the waitress was working the floor for the first time and she did great. Wonderful personality. Celebrated our 42nd Anniversary. We thought of going to Napa to a high price place, so glad we didn't.
I like to spend my money in the city where I live. The people there are friendly, they accommodate my elderly parents. The wait is fairly reasonable, I've never had to wait more than 15 minutes for a table. They have coupons if you're in their mailing list, however, pay attention to the blackout dates. They put those in recently. I'll go again!
Wait staff and management were very good and helpful.
Steak was tough, arrived medium, and I requested medium well.
Too pink inside for me, plus gob of fat when I cut meat open. I turned it over
to not see the fat. Hadn't been to Black Angus in several years, and disappointed
in food quality. Salad and baked potato was all right, and husband's hamburger
seemed all right. Choices were beef, chicken, or fish. Would like to see other choices
for non-meat eaters. Service was good, just disappointed with the steak.
I'm a regular but I'll keep leaving reviews if you keep asking. Our waitress was awesome
Jolissa , very polite and patient. A good server can make dinner that much better. She handled another table so well, and man didn't they have some requests. The finals were going on in the bar, the table she had were making calls using thier speaker phones. It was like a controlled riot sounding night. She handled it so well we couldnt help but be impressed. Food was great as usual!!
We will be back.
the Server was horrible. We sat with empty glasses for 15-20 minutes. Granted, she had a lot of tables where as the server next to us had 1 (Angela). But utilize the bus boy. The manager walked by twice and didn't notice either. Worst service ever. Will not go back.
The "Feast" deal which is the best value is extremely filling and you will have to pace yourself or find a doggy bag in your future. We routinely have to take the dessert to go. I also really enjoyed the "Peach Mule" it is a refreshing drink that would be great on a hot summer day.
