Black Angus Steakhouse - Vallejo Ratings and Reviews
First of all, the Campfire Feast Deal is very good, and I was able to choose some exciting choices for the combination of the deal.
I ended up sharing the Campfire Feast for Two deal with my wife, and we both had Caesar salad, salmon, and mashed potatoes. The choices were very appetizing, seeing how mashed potatoes are a very classic side to any steakhouse dish.
The service my wife and I had was very good, and our server was kind and humorous. I applaud him on his ability to keep his customers satisfied.
Although my meal and the server were pleasing, I was also dining with other family members to celebrate a birthday, and one of their meals did not arrive until we were finished eating.
Overall, the ambience, food choices, and service all make an 8 out of 10 rating.
We dined for my son's and his girlfriend's birthday Saturday the 4th of November 2017.My wife's Prime Rib was way to thin compared to the last time we went and we also had to send it back because it was raw. It came back well done not a good dinner for my wife. Also I mentioned in the Open Table comments that is was a Birthday Dinner and was not acknowledged from the restaurant staff.
Never disappointed! I am not into real fancy restaurants so love the ambience of Black Angus - western cowboy theme. Very close to home and I take advantage of the campfire feast specials etc. - good value for the price and always receive fast service. I use OpenTable and get seated right away. I love sitting in the booths for privacy. One of my favorite places to go.
It was our first time, and it was worth the hour and 45 minutes in traffic there, and the 45 minute drive back. Our waiter was excellent! Very attentive, and with a great attitude. Very well knowledgable of the menu and how the food is prepared. We will be back, for sure!
The appetizer is having less and less food. The potato skins are down to 2 and they are small. The main course, the meat is getting smaller and smaller. The pieces of meat is a joke! Not filling at all. Prices are going up, and getting less food. Not worth it.
We took our friend for her birthday to Black Angus on a Friday night. We were seated quickly and service was fast. We ordered 2 campfire feast dinners for 4. We enjoyed loaded potato skins and artichoke dip for appetizers. We had wedge salads for one of our sides and everyone enjoyed them. My friend loves really rare meat. She ordered the prime rib rare rare and it was served to her just how she likes it. The rest of us had steaks cooked to our liking. The carrot cake and cookie sundae were excellent also. I would recommend the Vallejo Black Angus for great beef and service!
If you want to be sat quickly make a reservation, only waited 10 minutes with a 30 min wait time for walk-ins. The food was delicious, but the service was not to par. Our server seemed slighty busy with her section, but when greeted she appeared to be a strong server. She was friendly and helpful with the menu but when it came to receiving our food she only brought out one of our salads when we both order one. She never came back to check on us so we asked a manager walking by to check on our other salad. What made the evening not memorable was when we waited 15 minutes for dessert after the server said it should be out in 4-5 minutes. Also she gave us our check before our dessert came and came by to take it, not noticing we were still waiting for our dessert.
I joined Black Angus Steakhouse's Prime Club and received a coupon for a Free Steak Dinner to celebrate my August Birthday; I also received a coupon for a Free Dessert. During Labor Day weekend my husband and I went to the Vallejo restaurant. I upgraded my steak to a filet with Bearnaise and enjoyed it very much with the rice and green beans with bacon. My husband had the Prime Rib with Brussel sprouts and Caesar Salad. My favorite part was the free fudge cake for dessert; it was so big I took most of it home and enjoyed it for two more days.
Thank you Black Angus! We will be back for dinner soon!
Our server was a young man that took great pride in making sure our dining experience was perfect. The food a bit overpriced, was very good. All in all a good place to have a good meal. I had the 18 oz rib eye which was good, however a thicker steak allows for a better sear on the outside locking in that flavor and natural juices that keep the meat tender. I will recommend this restaurant.
Picked this central spot for my siblings and I to celebrate with my parents for my moms birthday. Reservations were timely, seated quickly, entire staff throughout restaurant was extremely friendly from young blonde female at bar to our brunette young female server. Food was ok, prices were ok, but overall customer service was on point. Although the food wasn't a 10/10, knowing that we were being taken care of meant more. Left a hefty tip for our party of 10 to say thank you to our waitress.
Service was excellent . Food was delicious! The ribeye steak was perfectly cooked. Porterhouse pork was my favorite. Tried the mango lime aqua fresca, its my new fav. We love the online reservation, super easy and always get seated on time. That's why we opted for black angus over chevys, more organized.
Our waitress didn't really check on us they also sat us close to the kitchen where we could here all the waiters conversations verses them assisting their tables I distinctly remember them talking about how old Halley berry was I remember the whole conversation it was a bit annoying I paid good money to eat there an to only get my water refilled once to be honest was whack ill definitely be going back to black angus just not the one in vallejo and I will be expressing my opinion to anyone who is willing to hear it mind you it was a Sunday and it was slow I could understand if they were slammed I work in customer service an I have patience but when the waiters are in the back just talking about random things maybe they should do that on their own time and not mine ?
I went there to have my birthday dinner and I absolutely loved it.
I am subscribed to their mailing list and got the Campfire coupon along with a FREE entree (you cannot combine them, so I went for the Campfire for two..) I asked for recommendation on wine to pair with my New York steak and waiter suggested two different ones, I asked to have a sample because I wanted a bottle, so he did. I totally enjoyed the food, the wine.. and to top it off he also mentioned I have a FREE birthday cookie besides the dessert that already comes with the Campfire for two special.
Thank you so much for keeping up the quality of the food and for hiring great personnel.
Normally service has been pretty good when we've come previously but I don't know if it was because it was a Friday or we got served in a different area but are food took twice as long as the bar area. I would Recommend reservation which I did ahead of time. Food was great.
We had been to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom for the day, and we're looking for a steakhouse to enjoy a nice dinner. They seated us promptly, the host staff was nice. Our server seem to be spread too thin. She started off well, but left us unattended many times. She also messed up our ticket, and had to fix it. I also found a bone in my food, and had to bring it to the attention of the general manager. They gave us a free dessert on the house whoopee. Anyway, we probably would not visit this restaurant again. Not a great experience.
Our car window was smashed and property stolen while we dined. Another customer also was broken into. We were told the hostess saw what happen but she refused to come out and talk to the police. The restaurant didn't seem to care what happen.
Had a wonderful meal, our steaks were just right. The service was really good, the waitress was working the floor for the first time and she did great. Wonderful personality. Celebrated our 42nd Anniversary. We thought of going to Napa to a high price place, so glad we didn't.
