Black Angus Steakhouse is one of Toronto's landmark steakhouses, originally established in 1964. Today, Black Angus Steakhouse has expanded its tradition by moving to a stunning new restaurant space at the north-east corner of Bloor and Islington. Black Angus Steakhouse is renowned for superb food, excellent service and pleasing ambiance, all of which carry through to our new restaurant. Mixing the old with the new, guests can enjoy lunch and dinner in our elegant dining room or our casual lounge/bar area. We have a private room for larger groups, celebrations and business functions. Our outdoor patio provides a chic setting for seasonal dining and outdoor festivities.

We were a group of four who went to the Black Angus Steakhouse for their Tuesday bar special (Steak & Frites for two with a bottle of the house wine for $95). We were not sure what to expect but we were treated to a perfectly wonderful dinner. The 8oz striploin steak was perfectly grilled and the wine (a nice Cabernet ) was excellent. The service was terrific and we left feeling like we will definitely be back.

The steaks were really good, as was the service. I think $38.00 for an appetizer that contained only 2 scallops was far too much money for the portion size. I was pleased at receiving a free dessert because we were celebrating a special anniversary. Still, the dinner for two people, with 2 appetizers and 2 steaks, no wine, no coffee, no alcohol totalled $250. Eith tip. An expensive celebration!

What a massive disappointment. Have eaten at this classic steakhouse for decades. After last evening - NEVER again. Not the same Black Angus. From the minute we walked in it was a gong show. Restaurant was basically empty and the unaware, unthinking hostess tried to sit us at the worst table in the restaurant. Service was non-existent - had to chase servers down to order anything at all. And this was with a basically empty restaurant. Scallop appetizer - joke. 2 scallops that smelled like they were caught in 2019. a ceasar salad that tasted and looked like we were at Kelsey’s. The worst was the 22 oz ribeye we ordered. Cooked wrong and we asked for it sliced. 😂😂😂 chef must have used a plastic butter knife to slice it - was a big old mess and not cut through. Sent it back and again - non-thinking staff left the mashed potatoes on the table to get nice and cold for when the new steak arrived. Was so disappointed and frustrated we called over the manager and just cancelled the steak being redone. In summary - horrible service (not the service there should be for a so called steak house of that calibre) beyond sub par food. Never again. Too many good options out there to ever bother giving it another chance. One more good old standby classic restaurant that has gone to pot. I’d give it a zero if that was an option. We ended up getting takeout Sushi and going home.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary there last night and thought the service in particular was absolutely fantastic. From the hostess to every server . Thanking us for going to their restaurant is really appreciated that too many places don’t do. No need to go downtown to a nice restaurant with Black Angus in the neighbourhood.

Our anniversary dinner with one of our sons and his girlfriend was outstanding. The staff was efficient and friendly. the manager David knows his wine and took good care of us. Our server Marjorie took real good care of us. We all loved the Wagu, scallops, and shrimp. We will be coming back.
